Dear Irvine,

I love you, with all my heart, but there's someone else. She makes me feel special. Oh, did I say 'she'!? Darn. Yes, the someone new is a woman. I know you've always fantasied about a threesome with two women, but, she said no. Actually, 'Hell no!' is what she said. I'm sorry, Irvy, about any pain I'm putting you through with this letter. I just couldn't face you and say this. Quistis recommended I write a letter... Oh god, did I just say Quistis!? Er, pretend you didn't read that! Well, love you lots!

This week's word prompt: #38 - Dear John/Jane

People write them and leave them, usually placed somewhere like a mantle or on a table. The dreaded Dear "John/Jane" letters that say things have changed, it's me- not you, or I'm running away with the poolboy.

Does Squall dream and fantasize about getting a "Dear John" letter from Rinoa, or does he have one written in his desk drawer? Does Irvine have a stack of pre-written ones where he only needs to put in a name and his signature? Maybe Quistis has one for each Trepie but hasn't handed them out or is it that one of the followers has one waiting for her?

Whatever or whomever is handing out the letters filled with heartache, write it in 100 words.

I was thinking of having once a month a 200 or 300 word limit for one of the words. Authors are still able to put in for 100 words if they feel that's comfortable for them. I know sometimes drabbles don't want to fit into just 100 words, so I thought that it might be nice to have a bit of extra breathing/writing room.
