Every which way he turned there was nothing but dry, caked grey earth around him, stretching out to the horizon.

He called out for his posse and heard nothing but his own voice echoing in the vast empty space. Seifer walked on, still looking, still hoping to find someone.

"Anyone? Squall? Zell? Quistis? Please?"

The voice came from nowhere and everywhere. It was her voice, the one that he heard in his mind for what seemed like years.

"You think they would want you, Knight? You must be mistaken, to believe that they even think you're something to save now."

This week's word prompt: #85 - Sleep

Everyone needs it. It's a recharge and sometimes a gateway to dreams. If you don't get it, you can get cranky and sometimes feel a little crazy.

Does Rinoa get snappish if she doesn't get an afternoon nap? Perhaps Squall can sleep anywhere, in any weather condition? Does Zell not sleep but on a constant buzz? Does Quistis have her sleep interrupted by Trepies?
