Everybody Wang Chung Tonight

[info]eternalpatience
[info]btvsal
Who: Patience and Pat OT Wedding Guests
Where: The Grove @ The Ephemeral Gardens
When: Saturday night, directly after the wedding (October 17)

Once the ceremony was over, Patience wanted to speed through signing the marriage license and taking a metric fuck-ton of pictures with the bridal party. Not that she didn't love everyone for being a part of this, but it was done. She was officially, legally, Mrs. Patrick McConnell. Nothing else mattered except kicking off her shoes and dancing the night away underneath the stars with her absolutely amazing husband.

All right. Maybe she'd have some food and do a few shots, too, but the bottom line was that she wanted to PARTY. It was amazing to her that nothing oh-my-god AWFUL had happened during the ceremony. It didn't feel completely real…until she looked down at the wedding ring on her hand and then it all hit her. So, yeah, she kept staring at it. That didn't make her a freak or anything.

She'd pulled Pat into another borderline inappropriate kiss once they'd joined the guests – not that anyone should have been a stranger to seeing them all over each other. Laughing and smiling – happier than she could ever remember being in her life – she'd taken his hand as they moved to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. Going with the Beatles theme, they'd agreed on Ozzy's cover of "In My Life" - and funny as it could have been, she simply thought it was utterly romantic.

Happily Ever After?

[info]eternalpatience
[info]btvsal
Who: Patience and Pat OT Everyone in the wedding or invited to the wedding, plus their dates (see: here)
Where: The Grove @ The Ephemeral Gardens
When: Saturday night (October 17)

If anyone had asked Patience, she would have said that ever since leaving the house, everything had felt pretty damn…surreal. This was finally happening. The day was here. The hour was almost here. The sun had set and she could hear the strains of music wafting from The Grove. She'd checked out the decorations before being hustled back to the bridal pavilion and, while the lights hadn't been on yet, she could already see in her mind's eye what it would look like walking up the way toward small courtyard with the tree, under which she and Pat would exchange their vows. Lanterns were hung from some of the limbs and at the end of each row of seats, and strands of light would drip down above the makeshift altar, setting the place ablaze. Figuratively speaking only, she hoped.

Her bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their form-fitting long red gowns and, as Ash had so pointedly noticed, it was like she didn't even know any ugly chicks. None that she would have asked to be in her wedding, anyway.

"Hey, Slayer. Vampire. Somebody strong? Can you lace me up?" she asked as she straightened the slender straps of her dress over her shoulders for the hundredth time. "I want my stomach to be in my boobs…so it actually looks like I've got something to work with. Since I'm standing next to all of you with your big tits." Sweeping the ruffled train of her skirt to the front so that it wouldn't get stepped on, she sucked in a breath and looked back. The closer it got to show time, the more nervous she was starting to get. Not because of the actual ceremony or the fact that they were taking this really huge step. No, she wasn't even afraid (yet) that she might mess up her vows. What was getting under her skin was this whole singing thing. She wanted to do it – for Pat – but no matter how great Kevin had been in trying to help build up her confidence, she still sounded like a wounded bird to her own ears.

The CD-Release Concert

[info]benjamin_bale
[info]btvsal
Who: Ben, open to all
Where: Avarice
When: Thursday night

This was it. The biggest night in Avarice's short history. The CD release concert for Broken Sunrise. There were two other bands playing as well, including Skylar's, but he knew Broken Sunrise was going to bring in the media. Dressed in a snazzy black suit and tie, Ben stood on the stage, microphone in hand.

"Ladies and gents... thank you for coming tonight...  without further ado... allow me to introduce the first band of the evening."

He turned slightly, motioning as the curtain on the stage began to pull away.

"A band that I personally have a VERY vested interest in... allow me to re-introduce you all... to the new, the improved... Suicide Messiah!"

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions

[info]elle_tee
[info]btvsal
Who: Louise OT Jack
Where: Louise's apartment
When: Late Tuesday night (after leaving Eden)

It was cooler outside than it had been in the club, though not by much. Of course, temperature had little meaning for Louise in regard to comfort. It wasn't that she couldn't feel it, simply that she didn't care. Of course, the backless black dress she wore left an ample expanse of skin for the night breeze to caress.

This was crazy, and she wasn't sure which one of them was more insane for going along with it, but she wasn't going to try to stop it, either. It was a double-edged sword, really. Being so close to him was both pleasurable and painful. For someone like her, however, such a thing should have been right up her alley.

Sometimes it was hard to remember that she'd been a nice girl, once upon a time. The girl Jack had fallen in love with. She held his hand as they walked along the sidewalk and for a while, it was easy to pretend that nothing had changed, that this was the way it was always meant to be.

They'd been walking for a few minutes before she realized that she had no idea where they were going. It didn't really seem to matter. But maybe if they had some sort of destination in mind…?

"I'm not particularly in the mood for another club," she said, breaking the silence. With a glance up at him, she arched a brow. "Want to go back to my place?" It would, at least, delay any further decisions on whether or not he wanted to invite her into his home.

Drinking

[info]hot_guitarist
[info]btvsal
Who: Jack and Louise
Where: Eden
When: Tuesday Night

His daughter was going into a battle that she might not come back from. The two of them had talked earlier tonight. He had finally been able to tell her about Louise. It took him a while to come up with the right words. How do you tell someone that her mother, whom she thought had just taken off, had actually become a vampire and had fled because she felt that she would put them in danger from herself.

Mere hadn't exactly taken it well. He didn't expect her to do so. He hoped that her and Louise didn't run into each other before she had the chance to calm down and accept it. That might not end well. It probably wouldn't end well at all.

Tonight, she was out, probably dealing with the fact that this might be her last night on earth. She wasn't with Ben anymore, that much he knew. However, he hoped that she spent the night with someone. A friend, a person at a bar, anyone. She didn't need to be alone tonight.

He was alone tonight, though. Not that he was going to be fighting in some battle in the morning. He hadn't told anyone else anything about Louise yet. Telling Mere had been bad enough. He had no idea how to tell anyone else yet. Besides, he didn't want any of the others to get the wrong idea. Right now he just wanted to have...well, about a dozen or so beers. Anything to make the thoughts in his head shut the hell up for a while.

Surprise, Surprise

[info]hot_guitarist
[info]btvsal
Who: Jack OT Louise
Where: Jack and Mere's House
When: Sunday Night, on the late side

Jack flicked the television off and rubbed his eyes. He wasn't sure what he was still doing up. Bars tended to be basically ghost towns on Sundays, so he wasn't bothering with them. Everyone else was busy with something or another, so it wasn't like he was able to call anyone and do something. No, it wasn't really worth being up right now, but he couldn't sleep. However, television was also sucking, so he couldn't even pass the time with that.

Mere wasn't even around right now. He wasn't sure what she was doing, but she seemed to be even busier as of late, and strangely not talkative like usual. She had stopped being the downright fucking frightening that she was going for a while, but now she was just quiet. It was starting to worry him as well.

He sighed and threw the remote to the side. He figured that maybe he could try working through some songs in hopes of helping him sleep. He was about to head to the garage when he heard a knock at the door. It was almost one in the morning. Unless they were...well, him, who the hell was wandering around right now?

Band Practice

[info]patmcconnell
[info]btvsal
Who: Pat, open to Patience and any Broken Sunrise members
Where: Pat's basement
When: Saturday afternoon

It was days like this that Pat was thankful he'd had the presence of mind to turn his rather sizable basement into a mini-studio. Not only could he put extra touches on any tracks that hadn't been turned in to the record company yet, but he could actually have the band practice here, without always having to send everyone to Jack's garage. Hey... as a vampire, Meredith had to get SOME rest in the afternoons, right? Plus... this way Patience could watch them if she wanted. He knew the others didn't mind: she wasn't disruptive, and after everything she'd been through, this was a small pleasure for her.

So he looked around the studio at his bandmates. Jack, Chloe, Dakota, and Lexi all looked to be starting to make a really cohesive unit, and it couldn't have come at a better time. The album was only about a month from release. He'd managed to get Lexi in just in time to put a few of her own touches on two of the tracks, although he knew she'd have more to do with the writing process and the recording on the next album.

They already had everything set with the record label: "D.N.R.", one of the two tracks Lexi'd been able to get some recording in on, would be their first single, and they were set to have a record-release party/concert at Avarice just before the actual release. So now, it was time to get some practice in.

"You guys ready?" Pat asked, adjusting the microphone stand to the right height.

Hail to the Hair!

[info]benjamin_bale
[info]btvsal
Who: Ben, open to all.
Where: Avarice
When: Tuesday night
What: Just a fun thread for anyone to goof around. Feel free to start your own little mini-threads in it if you like. It's a celebration, bitches. Enjoy yo'selves.

While Ben was mostly focused on all of the upcoming battles, and the violence he knew would accompany them... he also knew his friends and family needed to relax. Unwind. Just forget their problems and have some fun. So, On the spur of the moment, he'd set this little event up. Hair Metal Night at Avarice. Nothing but fun 80s rock, with drink discounts for anyone dressed in era-appropriate clothing.

As usual, he took up his residence at his personal table, in the back of the club, mostly dressed the same as usual, except for the presence of a vintage Motley Crue t-shirt. Let the people he cared about have some fun... God knew they deserved it.

Memories... light the corners of my very confused mind.

[info]deannakiske
[info]btvsal
Who: Deanna, open to all
Where: Avarice
When: Thursday evening

For the past few days, one thought kept coming to Deanna Kiske's mind. One singular thought, which she continually juggled the pros and cons of. "I want to punch Gwen in the freakin' head" was that thought.

Now, Deanna adored Gwen. She didn't know her well, but she did like her a lot. HOWEVER, she was feeling a little (ok, a lot) miffed at learning that these memory issues she'd been having... these mental blocks that made her forget her best friend, her favorite hangouts, all of it... was Gwen's fault. Keep in mind, she decided against said punching. Mostly because a.) she knew that whatever Gwen did... it had to have been done for a good reason, and b.) Gwen could most definitely kick the shit out of her without even breaking a sweat.

So, in the spirit of calming herself down, she decided to head to Avarice, where she had STARTED to enjoy spending time before all this crap made her forget it for a while.

Considering she was off tonight, meaning this was a rare night where she DIDN'T have to dress like a complete tramp, the curvy blonde decided to go with a more modest getup: a nice pair of curve-hugging gray jeans, black and white sandals, and a Suicide Messiah baby tee she'd swiped from Mere. Sure, it wasn't hers... but dammit, it fit her better. So there. Anyway... she was in the mood to socialize, and when Deanna was feeling chatty? It didn't matter if it was an old friend or a total stranger... the girl was going to TALK.

Enjoying a Night Off

[info]hot_guitarist
[info]btvsal
Who: Jack and Open
Where: Avarice
When: Thursday Evening

Tonight the band wasn't planning on practicing. Of course, they sort of had to work around Chloe's schedule, but she was still usually able to practice for a few hours. However, tonight it seemed that everyone had something that they had to do. Pat was spending time with Patience, and wasn't that just another mind fuck right there? Chloe was off doing work on her new coffee shop. Everyone else was doing...something. So, this left Jack with a free night. What else would he do but go out and have a few beers?

So, here he was, at Avarice, giving a few women some appreciative glances while enjoying a beer and listening to the music. He was enjoying what was looking to be an easy and slow night, so far at least. No one knows what the future will hold, after all.
