OOC: How much do I love you guys?

Answer? A FUCKING LOT.

Proof? I just found out that on Thursday the 10th... my beloved Steelers' season-opening game against Tennessee is being televised out here in Boston. AND I'M GOING TO RECORD IT AND WATCH IT FRIDAY MORNING.

Seriously. That's like the equivalent of Eliza Dushku showing up at my door and saying "Hey, want a lapdance?" and me saying, "Nope! Come back tomorrow."

Ok, that's a lie, I'd tell you ALL to go to hell if Eliza showed up.

But still! I'm giving up my Steelers for you all! So... show up. Yeah. Or I'll totally cry.

TOTALLY.

The Young and The Reckless

Who: Kat OT All
Where: Avarice
When: Saturday night

So she'd made it an entire week in a new school, she'd had a run-in with the apparent leader of some group that called themselves "Watchers" – which was questionable, at best – and she'd possibly made a couple of new friends. Of course, 'friends' was a term she used loosely these days. It was hard to really connect to people when you couldn't explain what you were.

She'd left a note for her brother that she was going out and after wandering a few blocks, she'd been stopped by a car with a group of kids in it. Kat thought she recognized a couple of them from school, but she couldn't be positive. There were three guys and two girls and most of them looked older. How old, she couldn't say, but they definitely weren't sophomores. The guy driving had leaned across the guy in the passenger seat – and the girl in the middle – to ask if she was looking for something to do tonight. Most girls would have had the sense to walk away, but Kat wasn't most girls and…overall, this had been one of those times when it had come in handy.

With nothing better to do, she'd ducked into the back with the other guy and girl and the dude driving had sped off to wherever in the hell they'd been headed originally. Kat wasn't sure, because the first time the guy next to her had tried to slip his hand up the inside of her thigh, she'd punched him and that had sent the other girls screaming. Something about all the blood and a broken nose. All Kat knew was that she'd demanded to be let out of the car and once they'd sped off again, she realized…she had no idea where she was.

A few more blocks had led her to an all-ages club called Avarice, which was packed. Still, there was loud music and she'd managed to score a recently vacated table all to herself. It seemed a perfect place to chill before she'd inevitably have to suck it up and call her brother to come get her.
