I ordered both of you a new book series I overheard one of the staff members speak about in passing. I'm hoping it's not a let down from the previous book series I had gotten started on before the Great Frost of 2018. Let's just call YA novels my guilty pleasure.

I feel like starting a small "talking points" post every month to keep everyone in the know about what's going on in the facility. Opinions of what we think works and doesn't work. Does anyone else think this is good idea? I mean, it could also be used to network with other teams to organize training outside of your teams as well.

And, of course, gossip. But tasteful gossip. There's really no such thing as tasteful gossip but a man could be hopeful.

Books. What's your favorite? True crime requested. But I can take high brow shit if you got one of them to refer. I'm reading at a twelfth grade level these days.

A while ago, Miss Danvers expressed an interest in setting up something akin to dog training within the facility, something engaging to keep agents busy during down time and off training. In the last few months, working with Miss Danvers, we've been able to set up a preliminary course in which our facility will host a twelve week training program for young dogs to become service animals.

This is the first step of the program where our suitability is tested, if it's successful, we could be granted a full time place as a training facility.

Now, there are nine open slots for volunteers to do this. I will be choosing each member based on your suitability for the program, behaviour and control are factors in this, as we are being entrusted with some very sweet but dependent animals. If there are more than nine of you looking to join, we'll draw names at random. If you aren't chosen for this session, please don't be disheartened, there's always next time.

Steph, I need dog supplies. I have a small grant to fund it, but I haven't a clue where to start, food, beds, toys, leashes. The whole kit and kaboodle as they say. Do they say that?

Gabi, Noah, you do wonderful work but I need a truck or van that can hold ten animals. Now, I've been looking online, and I think I can purchase one from an old animal shelter but it's in terrible condition. Do you magicians think you can help me fix up a fixerupper?

Hey Holly -- I've heard the rumours about what's going on with Eric Hawthorne... I understand you probably can't tell me much, but I was hoping you could tell me whether or not he was okay?

This is long overdue as a talk, but I can see there are, understandably, some concerns about former Junior Handler Eric Hawthorne. I'm not at the liberty to discuss everything involving him, but I can confirm that he was outed as a super and demoted to an agent. Since his arrest, he has been in the holding cells to keep his powers at bay until his new handler is ready to let him out. He is not being allowed visitors, and I would not want any of you near him anyway until I know for sure that his powers are off.

We don't know what memories he has erased or who he has convinced to do what for him. We do know he's tried to kill at least one agent to keep his secret, and would have succeeded if not for that agent's ability to self-heal.

Now onto his replacement. This may seem like an unorthodox move, but the powers that be have decided that promoting a super who has proven loyal is preferable to having one sneak in with too many unknowns.

Your new Junior Handler is former agent Argus Weatherwax.

Additionally, Noah Anderson has offered to train any interested agents in mechanics and weapons proficiency. This is optional, though recommended.

Just trying to gauge interest, I've been with The Regiment for 20+ years and have garnered quite the collection of novels/novellas/series that not many people have had the opportunity to gather and since there hasn't been quite as much intake over the last couple of years as there has been recently? Would anyone be interested in starting a book club with me? I have a fairly extensive collection with numerous copies of a few books but we can always get more copies or share amongst ourselves.

It might be enjoyable?
