John

Jamie was heading to breakfast when he heard the shouting. He recognized that voice and groaned, switching directions and heading into the lobby.

Where he promptly burst into laughter and stared. Openly.

Jamie had slept for 12 hours with his head on his father's chest, listening to the other man breath. Just because. Jamie had spent 2 hours arguing in a language that didn't exist anymore (didn't exist yet) with his father over each of them being stupid, and then had slept for another hour.

Then he'd headed out for the hotel restaurant, flopping down and swearing.

John and Becky's Jack eventually

Jamie woke up with his face buried against the back of John's neck, arms around him and basically locked on to the other man like the jaws of life. He groaned, grumbling as he woke.

The Doctor stepped out his TARDIS, locked it behind him, and smiled over his shoulder at the person walking past.

"Hello," he called out.

She looked quizzically at him. “What the hell?”

“Short version? Pocket universe hun, lots of different versions of people, mostly stunning by the way, psychically malleable atmosphere. Just what the Doctor ordered.” He started bouncing on his heels, suddenly excited, “Lots to explore, you'll love it.” He saw a figure approaching, and made to wave them over, not sure how much time, if any had passed since he'd been here last.

Lis' Master, Mecca's Jamie, or any Jack (Mecca's Jamie)-Finished

Carried on immediately from here, still in the Master's office building:

Walking out of the lift to the lobby he saw the cameras turn on him. Flipping them the bird, and blowing them an exaggerated kiss, he turned and walked out into the evening air a free man. He couldn't resist a swagger as he walked. He headed towards town, towards the hotel, exhausted but alert, looking out for the Master at every turn.

Immediate after exiting this thread.

Rose did leave the strange scene of that other Jack and Doctor ripping into each other when she was sent, when she was told to, more than a little upset. Oh, she'd seen each of her friends argue heatedly before, argued with each them herself, but there was a viscous undertone to it all that she didn't like. Like something had been broken between that all three of them that might not be fixable.

She walked quickly in the direction of the TARDIS, wondering who else might recognize her here, whose face she wouldn't know.

Reinette hurried into the dining room, still in her long nightie, and looked around anxiously. "Excuse me," she said, to the room at large. "Has anyone seen Francoise-Louise?"

Seeing Jack had been good. More than good. And he had managed to sleep longer than he had in a solid month, although he was sure he still looked like shit.

It also hadn't made everything magically better. He was, he thought ruefully to himself, far too sane to conflate the two Jacks enough to instantly make a a major dent in his emotional state.

The Master shuffled along, back in his overcoat, but gloves in his pocket not on his hands, re-acquainting himself with the layout of the town. It was a ways from dusk, yet.

Jamie got out of bed, read John's note, groaned, then put on his shoes and went to his own room for a shower and a change of clothes. His hair was still wet when he made his way down to the hotel lobby, yawning a little bit and seeking "Eggs?"

The Doctor had done as promised, and stayed with John as he slept. The sensation of another being watching over him protectively had meant he'd napped better than he had done in some time. John was woken by the Doctor gently shaking him, with a reminder that he still had to meet up with his jailers at some point today. They parted company in the hotel lobby, and John walked out briskly into the mid-afternoon sunshine. Well, it felt like the afternoon anyway.

He had left his jacket up in the hotel room, it's weight still too uncomfortable. Actually, now he was walking, his t-shirt was catching on the scabs on his back, and irritating the hell out of him. He grumbled, and took it off, tucking it over in his back pocket. He wasn't ashamed of his cuts, now he'd had time to let them settle in, and he was actually getting a somewhat perverse kick out of showing off the intricate design.

He reasoned with himself that he had a bit of time on his hands before he absolutely had to go and find someone, so he decided to take some time out to himself. He walked to the nearest shop that contained books, where he found a copy of the book the Master back at the offices had left him, 'Shogun' by James Clavell.  The book fell open naturally at a well thumbed page. Walking over to the nearest patch of grass, he slumped down on his front to read. He didn't look up when he heard footsteps approaching, head still down as he read out loud to the person that had just come up to him:

"To think bad thoughts is really the easiest thing in the world. If you leave your mind to itself it will spiral down into ever-increasing unhappiness. To think good thoughts, however, requires effort. This is one of the things that discipline — training — is about."

John laughed loudly. "Now that's just.. classic. What do you reckon?" He said, lifting up his head.

Jamie stared at the fading grin in the tree with something between horror and confusion. He backed up several paces, asking the person he bumped into, "Did I see that?"

He was sitting outside, on the ground with his back against a tree. His coat and hate were beside him, his sleeves were rolled up and he was eating a piece of celery and reading a book. As he read, a white rabbit raced by in front of him. The rabbit was wearing a tiny little waist-coat. When he heard footsteps moments later he said, "If you're wearing a blue frock, he went that way."

He pointed, closed the book and looked up.

Becky's daddy Jack

Jamie had talked to his dad.

Jamie had been drafted (without resistance) to bring food and diapers to the Jack and baby holed up in a hotel room. He also brought a knife and gun for the other man as well as fresh clothes for both the baby and adult.

He knocked on the door with his elbow, "Hey, it's Jamie."

Not that he would necessarily remember Jamie but well. Jamie's not John or the Doctor or someone he knows is nutty.

Jamie chewed at the cuticle of his thumb; the nail was too short now to do any quality biting. He was half-curled in a chair in the lobby of a hotel, writing in a bound book, neat hand tiny on the mostly empty page.

He was swearing softly in a language that wouldn't be invented for five thousand years from his time.

Jamie-Finished

Follow on from here
And set before the events here

John had finished up with his weapons training, still nursing a sulk with himself for fucking things up with Jamie. He took his advice though and went for a rest in his room in his hotel. He slept fitfully, but was down for some time. When the alarm started going off on his wrist comp announcing it was time for their dinner date, he came round with a shock. Time was irritating him here, this didn't feel like the time that his comp was telling him it was.

He shrugged it off, figuring Jamie would be able to work out the time enough to know when to meet him.  He showered, and after digging about in the drawer, came out with a clean tee shirt. He slung his weapons on, just in case, and headed down to the restaurant.

John actually felt hungry for a change, even if it did feel more like breakfast than dinner. Ah, who cared? If time couldn't be bothered to make sense, then who was he to argue?

He settled at a table in the middle of the empty restaurant, and ordered a bottle of whiskey to keep him going until Jamie arrived. He nodded to the server when they arrived with it, and as he looked towards it, he could see Jamie arriving in the distance. He smiled broadly and waved.

Becky's Jack

Jamie sat down next to Jack, sprawling a bit in his chair. "What can you tell me about Captain John Hart?"

John was bored. With everything being free and readily available, there was no reason to try a con here that he could see. There was no one after him that he could make out, and no way of getting out of this place by choice that he knew of. B.O.R.E.D. He needed some entertainment, and fast.

Deciding to clear his head a little, he'd gone back up to his hotel room to fetch his katana, and wandered around until he'd found a small patch of woodland. Currently, he was going through each of his weapons in turn, practicing moves and draws. He was half way through target practice against the nearest tree with his throwing stars, when he heard footsteps amongst the woodland to his right. His hands went to his pistols, and he waited for the figure to come into clear sight.
