John
Where he promptly burst into laughter and stared. Openly.
Carried on immediately from here, still in the Master's office building:
Walking out of the lift to the lobby he saw the cameras turn on him. Flipping them the bird, and blowing them an exaggerated kiss, he turned and walked out into the evening air a free man. He couldn't resist a swagger as he walked. He headed towards town, towards the hotel, exhausted but alert, looking out for the Master at every turn.

And set before the events here
John had finished up with his weapons training, still nursing a sulk with himself for fucking things up with Jamie. He took his advice though and went for a rest in his room in his hotel. He slept fitfully, but was down for some time. When the alarm started going off on his wrist comp announcing it was time for their dinner date, he came round with a shock. Time was irritating him here, this didn't feel like the time that his comp was telling him it was.
He shrugged it off, figuring Jamie would be able to work out the time enough to know when to meet him. He showered, and after digging about in the drawer, came out with a clean tee shirt. He slung his weapons on, just in case, and headed down to the restaurant.
John actually felt hungry for a change, even if it did feel more like breakfast than dinner. Ah, who cared? If time couldn't be bothered to make sense, then who was he to argue?
He settled at a table in the middle of the empty restaurant, and ordered a bottle of whiskey to keep him going until Jamie arrived. He nodded to the server when they arrived with it, and as he looked towards it, he could see Jamie arriving in the distance. He smiled broadly and waved.
John was bored. With everything being free and readily available, there was no reason to try a con here that he could see. There was no one after him that he could make out, and no way of getting out of this place by choice that he knew of. B.O.R.E.D. He needed some entertainment, and fast.
Deciding to clear his head a little, he'd gone back up to his hotel room to fetch his katana, and wandered around until he'd found a small patch of woodland. Currently, he was going through each of his weapons in turn, practicing moves and draws. He was half way through target practice against the nearest tree with his throwing stars, when he heard footsteps amongst the woodland to his right. His hands went to his pistols, and he waited for the figure to come into clear sight.
