The Doctor was sitting at the bar of his favourite pub with a glass of something yellow and apparently containing bananas, amongst other things - he hadn't asked what but they were definitely alcoholic. He wasn't a big drinker, but he felt the distinct need for something strong just now. He was still trying to process everything he'd learned from meeting a future, female version of himself, and a very different and strangely sane version of the Master.

When he became aware of someone settling in at the bar beside him, he muttered into his glass, "I hope you're prepared to be ranted at, if you sit there."
