You know, when I was assigned covering the local pumpkin growing contest I had a feeling it was going to be the most boring piece I’d ever write--and this coming after having to write about the hayride that broke down a few weeks back.

Turns out pumpkin growing is fiercely competitive around here and some people believe threatening the judges at gunpoint is what one should do after they don’t get the blue ribbon. Then taking said judge up the water tower to become a full-blown hostage situation.

Uh, so this is just a general request before it happens. It happened once at camp last time I was here so..I am not a ghost. Please don't stab at or poke me with anything made of iron. I won't regenerate and it'll just suck. I walk through walls, sometimes I forget to tell anyone. I don't typically go into anyones room unless I'm invited, but I figured with tension all high it's probably a good thing to mention since I don't feel like spending time in the medbay any time soon. It's just habit if I need to get somewhere. So there it is.

Anyway that said if anyone needs help I'm ghost free.

How are you guys holding up?

So, I've talked to a few about this already but what would everyone say to having a warehouse or two converted into a firing range/course that people can go through to get use to shooting things on the run, be it by bullet or arrow? Firearms wise we've got options of air soft pellets and/or paintballs. Arrow wise I'm sure we can rig up rubber tipped arrows to shoot at targets just in case the shooter misses so no one gets hurt.

I also figure having these places can be a fun safe place for us displaced folks to have fun and blow off steam for free so we don't have to pay for use of paintball/air soft arenas.

And on a completely unrelated note, I've been doing some thinking and given my apparent penchance for getting possessed in some fashion, I'm thinking of getting the anti-possession amulet/symbol tattooed. Is there anyone who can do this correctly or someone I should talk to? I ask because sometimes necklaces can get ripped off in fights.

Next week I should like to invite you all to the Opening of my Inn, shall we say on Saturday? There will be some rooms for those who perhaps do not, ...how do you say...fit with the modern age and wish to take life at a slower place than the residences on offer do.

I assure you for those who know of my families reputation that the Inn will be nothing of them. Not a thing.

The Power Rangers were on tv today. Morphinominal..did all the other rangers before me all talk like that? It's kinda weird watching the ones who started it all. I'm really glad they didn't make us say morphinominal.

Just a heads up. I'm headed out to meet up with Bobby. He's got his hands on a few hunts I can distribute among those of you who are willing and experienced, so I'll update with that info as soon as possible. Let me know in advance if you want in.

On a somewhat similar note, I plan on talking to him about starting up basic training over at his place again. It seemed to work well the first time we did it, so I think continuing on with that might work best for those of you who want some hands on experience. Bobby'll be working personally with everyone interested if he wants in, so long as they meet the age requirements (eighteen and up).

As much as I hate to admit it, Jacen is right. We've been slack on training you guys up for your own protection lately and that's not acceptable. We all need to be able to defend ourselves. Every one of us is a target and we are always at risk.

I don't mean to come off as Captain Paranoid here, but it's true. We all have to be ready for the worst. People have died here before and they will die here again. At the very least, the next person who does should be able to go down with one hell of a fight.

Well this holiday sucks

Okay. We're gonna head out this afternoon. Meet in the lobby around 3, we'll load up the car and be out pretty quick, if all goes well. Make sure you've got gravedigging-appropriate clothes. We're gonna try for a two-day total trip, but be prepared for it to take a little longer, especially if the folks doing the vampire job need a hand after ours is over.

Since you just got here again, whatever, I've made up a quick ID for you, Jack, in case we get into any trouble. It won't hold up all that well if it's serious trouble, I don't have that kinda time on my hands, but it'll do in emergencies if you just don't let anyone look too close, and we'll deal with a better one later.
