I'm sorry I've been a crap friend lately. I'm sorry I pushed pretty much all of you guys away when Kenzi got taken back and just kind of retreated into this black hole. I'm just real tired of losing the people I care about. I know I should be used to it by now but I'm not, and when it's the people who I'm really close to it hurts more. And I'm just tired of all of this crap happening all the time.

I promise, though, when I get back I'm going to try and be a better friend. And you guys can hold me to that.

I like it much better when the Seal sends good things and not some of the stuff it's been tossing out. I never thought I'd see this photo album again. I'm really glad I have it.

After glancing at the calendar this morning it dawned on me that a very special little boy will be turning 5 in 47 days. I want this birthday to be unlike any that he has ever had and so therefore it will be a grand affair. The proverbial floor is open for theme suggestions.

You are also all cordially invited to come join us on September 7 for a Labor Day celebration. All you need bring is yourself and proper pool attire.

Roland has been asking for a puppy and the other day, Regina and I went looking because she needed cheering up after. Now we would like you all to meet Paris, the newest addition to our little zoo here.

Regina swears this is the last animal, but I have a feeling that won't last, given how easily she gave in to Roland's dimples and pleading. We're calling this one an early birthday present.

Oh wow, this is nice. I hadn't expected to see that. I just found my family photo album in my room. I know I didn't bring it with me when I came here. Never saw it.. until now. It has pictures of me and my parents, from when I was born til a week before I came here. Out of anything of mine that could come here, more than money, or my home, this is what I'd value most. A connection to my memories of them.

And, also. If anyone from my family shows up and is skeptical of me being one of them, the book can be reviewed as proof from the pictures. But mostly, I'm just glad to be able to look through the book one more time. Anyone might like to view it too, you're welcome to visit and I'll show it to you. Oh man, this is so awesome!!

Rose and Jim will soon be out of the country and enjoying a forced vacation. I'll pass messages along to them should you all need to get in contact with them. Or you can wait until they return. They should be home in a week.

..Huh. My bed seems a lot more smaller now, as does the rest of the room. But I guess everything looks huge when you're a kid. So glad I'm back to my proper age again. And able to use wand magic. And apparate. And fly on my broom! I'm gonna go play some quidditch. Well, mostly flying around but I might get in a practice or two in after I have fun first.

Rose, thank you you so much for taking care of me, and thanks to Regina too. All the long week, I felt just as comfortable and safe as I was at my real home. Plus, the cookies and ice cream were a pretty good distraction for tiny me too.

So, me and Skye are creating two different types of patrols. Skye's still organizing the Welcome Patrols. I'm organizing defence ones. To keep an eye on the graveyard, so what happened with the earthquake can't happen again. As well as the other displaced areas for security reasons.

If you're happy to take a shift for the Security Patrols let me know below. You have to have done the basic classes, for your own safety more than anything. It's best you know what you're likely to come up against,

And, I know Skye could do with more volunteers for the Welcome Committee. Which is more about greeting new arrivals, than fighting. So, the main criteria for that is being able to explain what's going on.

First, I'd like to apologize for threatening to hurt anyone who stood in my way. I may not have been in control of my actions but I am still responsible for them. I'd also like to apologize for following through on my threat to cause harm. Those who were hurt did not deserve what happened to them. My path to redemption has not been easy but I had been doing quite well this last year. I suppose now I will have to start all over again.

Second, I now rank whiskey on the same level I do rum. I'll never drink another glass of it again.

My son asked me this afternoon why he had a shadow and I didn't. Were it not for Roland I wouldn't have noticed it was missing. I've a theory all ready in mind but I'm open to hearing what you all have to say.

Hey, umm.. Kirk. Those Star Trek DVDs that were lost in the quake. The ones from the Picard era. I bought them all again. So if you want them right now, I'll bring them over. Anyone else, I'd recommend a good watch too. Patrick Stewart was awesome. I recall he also played Xavier nicely too.

Looks like we're going through a crazy Seal episode. Looking forward to the Christmas in July thing, sounds fun. As does the date auction.. plus it's for a good cause. But I've found another good distraction - skydiving! Anyone interested? It's quite exciting.

I would suggest you keep your distance from Regina right now.

I feel very fortunate that not only did Rose open up her cabin to us after the earthquake destroyed our home, but Regina and I were able to find a new house with relative ease. We are told that we may move in this week and I feel truly blessed by our good fortune.

The house is fairly large and we do have a couple of extra rooms, so if there is anyone out there that needs a comfortable place to stay while the new community is being built, please let myself or Regina know. It is more space than we truly need for us and our sons and we would be happy to share it with others who are in need of shelter.

It's really nice to see the community come together. I'm glad to be apart of such a good group of people.

With the destruction being as widespread as it was I'm sure this will come as no surprise to you all. But the building that housed Loki's magic library was completely destroyed during the Earthquake.

I believe I've found us the perfect house. The realtor lowered the price due to the damage sustained during the earthquake but with unlimited funds that was hardly an issue. Structurally the house seems fine but I'd feel safer having the team who built my villa come and look it over.

Hey, everyone! You might remember that I posted about doing a charity date auction at Verdant. We've decided to make it a benefit to help all the quake victims, both displaced and locals. I haven't set a firm date, yet, but I'm looking at maybe early August. I do have a few people signed up to be auctioned off, but I could use some more, so please consider signing up. We could especially use some more women, since there are only a few on my list so far.

This is really just all fun, so don't think you can't sign up if you're seeing someone. People will be bidding for a few hours of your time, but it absolutely doesn't have to be a real date, okay?

Proxy signups will be allowed, but I WILL be confirming with people that they are okay with it.
