I ran into Tamsin. She's different, too, but I'm not reading her as aggressive. I've showed her around a computer a little, so she might pop on here. I thought that those of you who are friends with her might wanna know.

With everything going on after I arrived, I didn't have a lot of time to start searching for a new job. I suppose there's no time like the present to start looking.

Interested in a job? It doesn't pay a ton, being a non-profit and all, but it's a pretty liveable wage.

And if not, it's totally cool, don't worry about it, I'll figure something out, maybe one of the employees can step up and help. I just thought I'd ask you first.

I am the most unoriginal wisher in the world. I couldn't think of anything I wanted, so I ended up asking that damn bauble for enough money to live comfortably here. Which admittedly isn't a lot of money, but it's nice to have some security, even if I'm not paying rent.

So my birthday is on the twelfth and-shocker, I know!-I just kind of want to keep it low key this year. All of my friends and a dinner somewhere nice but not too fancy. Like Olive Garden or Red Lobster. That border between classy and holy-shit-expensive.

So Friday night at about 7? If you want to come. I think we'll go with Olive Garden and for one night the diet goes out the window and never ending breadsticks it is. Mostly I just want to spend time with everyone.

23. Feels like just yesterday we were getting smashed for my 21st. Wow how things change.

Know what I miss? Our Pop Culture Classes. They were fun and kinda got tossed to the side cause other, bigger, more important things happened. Do we even remember who had what decade? I know I was on the 90s! Once we re-configure who was teaching what decades, we can work on settling out schedules again, guys!

Oh lord, Halloween costume time again whaaat?? Why is it so stressful?! I should just learn to sew and make my own. JANIE!!! TEACH ME TO SEW!!!!

So far my choices consist of:
1) Elizabeth the First (another glorious redhead!)
2) Merida (curl my hair, get one of the spare bows, and halfway there!)
3) A fire fairy in honor of my fabulous new tattoo!
4) And, as always is an option, Regency-era me!

Thoughts? Ideas? ...alternate suggestions for super adorbs redheads??

So the coolest part of my job is some of the stories. I mean, there's really heartbreaking ones, of course. But then there are people who just want someone to talk to and tell the best ones.

Over the weekend, this happened. One of our guests asked why I was sore and I admitted why and she wanted to see it. Turns out she has a very similar one and it looks amazing and she has about five others and each one has a meaning behind them. I explained mine as best as I could without being all "so I died and came back and I dealt with an evil sorceress and then there was the alternate version of my boyfriend trying to kill me the whole Hunger Games issue". And we talked for a good hour over her dinner and I promised her I'd be there when she comes tomorrow night and to make a long story longer, it was awesome!!

Sometimes people need more than food or money. They could use a friend.
