Who: Sylvia and Jason
Where: around town
When: late

Capturing the teenager was like riding a high that Jason wasn’t coming down off of right away. He’d thought it would just be a thing, but it wasn’t, it was a rush and after they’d tied the guy up and thrown a blanket that smelled like the dirt it had been buried in over most of him, he’d left someone else to watch the unconscious guy and gone out to see if he could get into more mischief before dawn. That was the point after all, stir things up to let them know they weren’t as safe as they thought. There were fires burning and Jason wanted to be a part of them, wondering if it would be hard to start his own, but slowing when he spotted someone familiar. He’d been following her for ages, since he’d become a vampire and seen the way they treated her. It hadn’t taken much to figure out she was like him, there were tells, but he hadn’t managed to approach her. He hadn’t been brave enough. But now, feeling that surge of power that came with overpowering someone bigger than him and winning, that had him moving into her path and taking a few steps with her. “It could all be different you know.”

Sylvia stopped when suddenly she was being addressed. She eyed him, confused as to the context of his statement. “...what could be different?” she asked, not needing him to repeat himself. She thought she'd seen him before, though they had never interacted. He just seemed familiar.

Who: Clementine, Zania, and Jericho
Where: Clementine & Zania’s house
When: Close to Midnight

Zania’s plan was to go out after midnight, figuring it was the time that most people would be sleeping and least likely to go on a patrol. If tomorrow turned out to be sunny, she might as well make the most of the night. To prepare, she sat by the fire sharpening her machete, humming to herself, the absence of electricity starting to get to her. It wasn’t that she minded not having power-- she’d gotten used to that outside the dome-- but she missed the ability to play music.

Clementine had been dozing on the couch, as near the fire as she could be and under a big bunch of blankets to stay warm. She'd only been snoozing lightly, though, so after a few moments of Zania there sharpening her weapon, Clem was awake and slowly watching her. "What's the haps, Doc?" She asked, a yawn in her voice as she shifted a little to get a better look at Zania. "Where you headed?"

Subject:Three More Abductions
Time:06:45 pm
Who: Eily, Avery, Lily, and Wesley
Where: Late Evening
When: The Pub

Avery was attempting to work. It was really a lack of motivation, which wasn't unusual for her, but because Eily was closing and not Lochlan, Avery knew she had to at least help out with something. The last few days had been utter crap, but that wasn't really the best excuse to stand around and mope. And Eily didn't usually let her get away with work laziness the way her brother did. So after the last patron had wandered out of the bar, Avey cleared off the tables, carrying the bin of dirty dishes back behind the counter. She knew Eily had wanted to talk, and even though Avery offered to visit in the morning, now seemed just a good a time as any, since they were the only two left in the place.

"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" Avery asked, trying to sound casual. Eily had said she wasn't in trouble, but it seemed ominous anytime someone she knew texted, wanting to 'talk'.

Who: Lochlan and Lily
Where: Lily's House
When: Early Evening

Lily had been zoning out in the shower, soaking up the warmth of the water after the chilled morning she spent by the lake with Gin. She was kind of just as confused as she had been prior to talking things out with her new friend, but she at least had some additional insight to take into consideration. She reached forward to turn off the stream, dressing herself absent mindedly in a cozy sweater and leggings while her mind drifted over their conversation and how she could fight for Lochlan, stepping into the hall with a towel to dry her hair when she heard a knock on the door. She quirked a brow, not sure exactly who it was since she hadn't been expecting company. Maybe it was some knight on a horse offering to whisk her away from zombies and vampires and werewolves and general insanity. Her imagined knight bore a striking resemblance to Lochlan, complete with one of those medieval helmets and heavy, heavy armor. She wore a rather sad grin then called out, "I'm coming!" She hurried to answer before her mystery guest disappeared. She almost dropped the towel in hand when her eyes rested on Lochlan. She wished he could take her away from all of this, more than anything. "Hey you." She said with a smile, trying not to let her previous thoughts and concerns dominate her expression. She wasn't sure what to say still or what to ask, so she wasn't ready to initiate the topic with him yet.

Lochlan had headed straight to Lily's house after his conversation with Eily. He wanted to talk to her, see her, tell her that he thought things were going to be okay finally. They at least had a shot at something without the lingering idea of another girl hanging over them. He let his nose play with the distinctive Lily smell the closer he got to her house, finding himself smiling unconsciously. He was still a bit drunk from all the whiskey he'd ingested but that was okay. He could still think and talk and that was what counted. When Lily opened the door he impulsively put his arms around her and lifted her off the floor to give her a whiskey-flavored kiss. "Hey, I'm drunk," he announced and kissed her again before letting her down to her feet again. "Couldn't resist, sorry. I'm just happy." He looked at her then, taking her in, that unconscious smile returning to his face. She was so good. She'd put up with so much from him. He was glad he could finally be good back to her and stop running her around the emotional rollercoaster.

“But I'm going to be okay finally. And things are so much clearer. The way I feel about you.” )

Who: Corey and Eli
Where: Corey and Serge's house
When: evening
Warnings: violence

Corey had been packing up a few things, making sure the rifle was loaded and she had enough ammo, just in case. Certainly, she was guessing she wouldn't need it, but she wanted it. She'd learned a long time ago to never go anywhere completely unarmed. So, she didn't. She thought she was ready, though. She had just grabbed a quick bite to eat, before she went to Eli's.

She finished up the pb and j sandwich she'd made herself, then started to head to the stairs, so she could grab her bag. She had to pause, however, as she heard footsteps on the porch. Turning instead toward the windows, she saw through the sheers several other people heading toward her house.

Time:11:24 pm
Who: Eli and Finn
Where: Their House
When: Afternoon

When Eli woke up that morning, he'd gone hunting in the rain. It was the kind of thing he could get lost in, running for hours, chasing down rabbits, eventually bringing them back to the house for a stew. He hadn't realized how much time had passed till he returned, starving for a meal, so he set about skinning the rabbits in the kitchen in preparation for a stew. He was sure he was quite a sight, drenched and muddy, standing in the kitchen with a knife in his hands, but he didn't want to stop to shower till the stew was on.

Who: Cody and Ember
Where: The cemetery
When: Morning

Ember sat before a grave marker, her fingers pinching tightly at the petals of a bouquet that belonged to whoever’s grave this was. Her eyes shifted down to read the name, Rosemary Evans. She lifted a delicate finger to trace over the edges of the stone, observing how smooth and cool it felt thanks to the intense elements as of late. She probably looked like some teenager rolling her ass off with how enthusiastically she had been touching and feeling the environment all morning, but she was just a ghost. In a cemetery. And she was marveling at how it felt to be able to feel things again, to be able to move them, to see with her own eyes that her hand wasn’t just moving through objects, but was actually stopped from passing. Her other hand, decorated with her engagement ring, wandered over the grass while a small smile meandered across her lips. She closed her eyes and took in the sensation of the wind gusting through her black hair, loose curls dancing towards the ends.

Cody had actually been looking for Ember. Just because he had no idea what to say to her didn't mean he didn't miss her. So, this could go incredibly poorly, but he had been looking around for a day or so for his wayward companion. Eventually he caught up with her, spotting her in the cemetery.

Who: Mannix and December
Where: The morgue
When: Late Afternoon

While it was hard to stay dry with the weather as it was, Mannix appreciated the chance to get out of the house earlier than usual. He’d stopped by both crime scenes to see if he could pull anything off them, but so many people had been in and out of both that it was hard to decipher which scent to follow. The scent of werewolf, however, was all over one of them, which was why he packed a round of silver bullets and grabbed his machete. He had a small collection of them at this point, and this particular one had been dipped in silver before being sharpened. If he was going to be hunting werewolves, he might as well be properly armed.

“Afternoon,” he smiled as he pushed open the door to the morgue. It smelled like death inside, but that didn’t slow him down. It was just his amped up scenes picking up on fresh corpses and he’d get used to it soon enough.

Time:12:16 am
Who: Liam, Audrey and Finn
Where: their house
When: wee hours

Finn had done everything he could for the storm. He’d worked his ass off at work because the lumberyard had been full of people needing firewood once the weather took a turn and then continued on after the rain started and the power started to flicker. When he got home he’d brought a haul with him pleased to see they both still had some leftover from his carry home and that someone else had managed to get some home as well. The power was out and thankfully his arrival at home had been met with silence, no one in the common areas of the house. He made sure a fire was going, the pantry had food stocked and the candles were out and accessible. Then he’d taken one for himself and gone up to his room and not come out. He knew he should have checked on his crew, made sure they were home and safe, but that might involve talking to them, talking to people and Finn hadn’t been ready for dealing with people at work. There was no way he was ready for dealing with people at home, the people who would really ask the questions he wasn’t sure he was ready to answer. He had no idea how things had gone so terribly awry with Avery, but he was sure it was his fault. That was certain, but just what he’d done was still a mystery. How could she have thought he didn’t care about her? He had. That was why he’d wanted her safe and happy and had been willing to do whatever she wanted to feel that way. Hadn’t that been obvious? Sleep hadn’t come and Finn hadn’t fought it. He’d just sat by the window, looking out it at the storm, wrapped in a warm sweater and a blanket. It was probably warmer downstairs near the fire, but he couldn’t bring himself to leave the safety of his room.

Who: Corey and Serge
Where: Their home
When: Morning

There was a crime scene waiting, that much Serge knew. Two of them, even, and bad ones from the messages he’d gotten. Soon enough he’d have to move on one of them and try to get in front of whatever was aiming itself at Delphi, but Serge was seasoned enough to approach that with a level head. He needed proper tools, and to see to anything that might not keep for his time away.

Keeping his granddaughter in the loop was high on the list of the latter, which had Serge tending to the former in the kitchen. His bow and quiver had been laid next to a pack with a police rifle, and his arrows were out on the table with each waiting for its’ turn as Serge put a fresh edge on their broadheads. Corey wouldn’t like knowing about this and not coming with, of course, so he’d made oatmeal again. Maybe it’d keep her from protesting if she was busy eating. Probably not.

Subject:Lochlan Feels Better
Time:12:12 am
Who: Eily and Lochlan
Where: Eily's
When: late afternoon

Eily had gotten a worded text from Lochlan, and was glad he wanted to talk – but was nervous as hell at the same time. She'd kind of been assuming he'd be awol for a while after the revelation the other night. So, if he wanted to talk already, she had to wonder just how bad things had gotten for him in the time in between. Was this going to be when he told her he was out again? Or was this them evening things out? She had no idea, but she was nervous. She paced a little in the living room as she waited. Back and forth, back and forth.

Lochlan made his way quickly to Eily’s away from the emotionally charged experience with Sylvia. He was trying not to think about any of it as he jogged back, mostly focusing on trying not to be super sweaty when he talked to Eily. Which was a stupid little detail, she’d spoken to him when he was reeking of alcohol and hadn’t bathed in a week before, but it was something to keep his mind off overthinking before he got to talk to her. He paused before entering the house, listening and smelling to be sure they were in fact alone. Or maybe he just needed a second. He walked in and found Eily pacing in the living room. The sight of her made his heart jolt, his, “Hey,” coming out a little wavery.

Time:04:18 pm
Who: Frankie and Lucas
When: Early evening
Where: The market

Once Frankie had helped Riley check the perimeters of the ranch, she had returned inside to find Mrs. Haggerty working on dinner. It was an awe-inspiring thing, having the patience and capability to make enough food for the majority of the employees and boarders of the ranch, but somehow Mrs. Haggerty pulled it off. Frankie had a feeling she would have been living off of canned soups and diner food if Riley hadn’t had the sense to hire the older woman as his housekeeper.

She poked around the kitchen for awhile, hoping to get a taste of whatever it was Mrs. Haggerty was actually preparing. Given the cold weather, it seemed like there was going to be a huge pot of soup, which was just fine with Frankie. They talked for a bit - or rather Frankie talked and Mrs. Haggerty nodded along - before the older woman realized she needed a few things for the pantry. Of course, Frankie offered to run to the market and pick them up, and five minutes later, she had her jacket and boots on and was on her way.

That's just another example of me walking around with my foot in my mouth. )

Who: Avery and Devin
When: Late afternoon
Where: Near the lake

Avery was feeling okay. Sort of. Maybe. She was excited to move in with Fiona, but everything else was just… blah. She had spent some of the afternoon packing up a few things in her bedroom, though she figured Lochlan or Patrick could help her get her furniture over. Unless Fiona had a bed in the second bedroom already. Avery hadn’t even thought to double check. But there had been a few moments, here and there, when Avery had to stop and just sit. She cried for a bit and then, of course, felt stupid about it. Really, there were very few people worth crying over in her life, and she usually didn’t let her emotions get the better of her. But everything sort of sucked. Finn, Darcy and now, getting the feeling that Noah was blowing her off. Which wasn’t surprising. He was Darcy’s boyfriend, and Darcy was pretty good at manipulation when it suited her. So, that was that. She just figured she needed to chose her friends more wisely next time. And boyfriends. Sadly, she couldn’t chose her family.

Time:02:38 pm
Who: Frankie and Riley
Where: The cattle ranch
When: Late afternoon

Riley had spent a very enjoyable afternoon with Lia. He was still grinning when he emerged from his room to keep his meeting with the vet who was sure to be there at any moment. He ran into Tom as he was fishing out a cookie but the cookie went uneaten as Tom told him about the people found dead over night. “They looked like animal attacks. Like them wolves that blew through here a while ago,” Tom said and shook his head.

“I’m going to go out and check the fences. Make sure the barn doors are secure before dark. The vet’s coming as well. I want you to take care of it. And Tom, I’m not kidding. Get it done.” He caught Mrs. Haggerty leaving her quarters with Sophia in tow. He kissed the little girl on the top of her head and sent her to play so he could explain things to Mrs. Haggerty. “We need to be sure the house is shut tight. I’m checking the fences but I’m sure Savannah or one of the other boarders can help you. Lia needs to know too but I need to run. Keep Sophia safe.”

Time:01:53 pm
Who: Mickey and Violet
Where: Between Mickey's house & Maggie's house
When: Late (after this)

Mickey has rushed home to get his supplies after leaving Jack. Once he was on his way agin, the shotgun was in hand as he roamed through the dome. He also had a hunting knife he'd carried for years as well, just in case. He was hoping for the best and starting towards the woods near Maggie's house fanning out and looking for places that had even disturbed by something more than the rain.

Violet watched the man with the gun for a while as she followed him in the shadows. He was so cute, it was almost a shame that they were going to hurt him. He'd probably be a very fun boyfriend. Oh well. It was time to get this show on the road, she supposed. Taking a deep breath she let out a scream and sent herself hurtling across Mickey's path. Her eyes wide with terror, she looked over her shoulder and almost fell. "Help me! Oh help! Please!"

Darcy was running for her life. She knew she was. And she hated herself for it. This wasn’t supposed to happen again. She wasn’t supposed to be leaving someone behind and running. She bypassed her house, maybe stupid, but she needed something stronger than a lock. Noah needed something stronger than a lock. I love you. He’d said it. She’d heard it. And now he might be dead. She stumbled to Aidan’s door, banging on it. She was bleeding from a bit down her arm and a scrape on her cheek. There were bruises starting to show already under pale skin and the tears were free flowing. “Aidan!” She banged harder trying to find her keys to let herself in, but failing.

Who: Jack and Mickey
Where: Maggie's House
When: late

Mickey left the bar with a smile, thinking that it was nice to have such a light conversation with someone. Sure, it wasn’t going to go anywhere. Odds were that he wouldn’t even be able to manage something like he had with Eily again, but it was nice to talk to her. It made him feel a little better. Less cold than his conversation with December. He was forcing himself to think on just Eily, that cheery smile, at least until the smell of burning caught his attention. He turned twice, seeing smoke coming from more than one direction, but one in particular caught his attention. “Maggie.” He knew where her house was and he saw the smoke. Grateful for the bike he pushed himself that way, as fast as he could, pulling up short at the sight of her house and yard on fire.

Who: Devin and Skylar
Where: the greenhouse, then onward
When: afternoon

When Devin left Eatzy’s, he had the faintest aroma of alcohol hanging around him. It might’ve been from where he’d spilled some on his hoodie, or it might have been his breath. Not that it mattered that much. Justin had cemented Devin’s opinion of him and even raised it a notch: the guy was seriously fucking cool for sharing his stash of booze with him. Not that it had been anywhere near enough to get him plastered. No, it was just the right amount for him to lose some of his usual edginess. He didn’t even mind the intermittent pissing rain all that much; he simply pulled his hood over his head and tugged the denim jacket he wore over the hoodie more tightly around him. He was only walking over to the greenhouse anyway, and it wasn’t that far.

He and Skylar had hung out a few times, and they got on okay. Plus, the guy always had weed and sometimes tobacco. Devin wasn’t a big weed-head, but he didn’t mind it once in a while. Letting himself into the greenhouse, he called out, “Skylar! You here?” He made a mental note to be careful walking, since there wasn’t much light to speak of with the gloomy day and the power out.

Subject:Clearing the Air
Time:02:51 pm
Who: Lia and Riley
When: Early afternoon
Where: The ranch

After spending a bit of time with Micah, Lia cleaned up a bit in the house she would eventually be moving away from. She wanted to be with Riley, obviously, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t miss the place. She and Sophia had made quite a few memories there, and Lia had always craved privacy. Something she probably wouldn’t have much of, living on a ranch. But she had a lot on her mind and cleaning had helped distract her for a while. Thankfully she felt calmer, and more clear headed, when she finally walked back to the ranch.

After taking off her jacket and shoes by the front door, Lia checked on Sophia first, finding her in front of the fire with one of the ranch hands, laughing and playing a game of from the deck of cards Riley had fished out for them the night before. Then she headed off to find Riley, smiling a bit and greeting a few of the boarders that spotted her. When she finally found him, Lia reminded herself not to let her emotions get the best of her. They were finally in a good place, and she didn’t want to screw it up so quickly by starting another argument. “Hey,” she greeted, walking over to give him a quick kiss. “Got a minute?”
