| Who: Finn, Liam, Audrey, Eli, and Corey Where: Their house When: Morning
Eli woke to the sound of his phone, which was only odd because everyone that usually messaged him was in the house with him. He rubbed his eyes as he picked it up, frowning at the message from Jack. He sent one back, then another, before turning to wake up Corey. “Hey,” he said softly, touching her shoulder. “You awake?” He was still learning the difference between a sleeping heartbeat and a waking one, but if he was awake, then he thought Corey probably was too.
She'd taken a while to get the blood off of her, and to patch up the wounds she'd acquired. Thankfully, Eli had seemed...well. Just fine. It was weird, but a pretty big check in the plus column. She was awake, just sore. “Yeah,” she answered, voice quiet. “How are you feeling?” she asked, shifting to look at him. ( put on some pants ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Liam, Audrey and Finn Where: their house When: wee hours
Finn had done everything he could for the storm. He’d worked his ass off at work because the lumberyard had been full of people needing firewood once the weather took a turn and then continued on after the rain started and the power started to flicker. When he got home he’d brought a haul with him pleased to see they both still had some leftover from his carry home and that someone else had managed to get some home as well. The power was out and thankfully his arrival at home had been met with silence, no one in the common areas of the house. He made sure a fire was going, the pantry had food stocked and the candles were out and accessible. Then he’d taken one for himself and gone up to his room and not come out. He knew he should have checked on his crew, made sure they were home and safe, but that might involve talking to them, talking to people and Finn hadn’t been ready for dealing with people at work. There was no way he was ready for dealing with people at home, the people who would really ask the questions he wasn’t sure he was ready to answer. He had no idea how things had gone so terribly awry with Avery, but he was sure it was his fault. That was certain, but just what he’d done was still a mystery. How could she have thought he didn’t care about her? He had. That was why he’d wanted her safe and happy and had been willing to do whatever she wanted to feel that way. Hadn’t that been obvious? Sleep hadn’t come and Finn hadn’t fought it. He’d just sat by the window, looking out it at the storm, wrapped in a warm sweater and a blanket. It was probably warmer downstairs near the fire, but he couldn’t bring himself to leave the safety of his room. ( you should have talked to me ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Audrey and Liam Where: their house When: after midnight
Things had been a little overwhelming since she'd turned, only if it had been mere hours. She was still getting used to everything, though meditation seemed to help some. It was one hell of a thing, to suddenly have all of her senses kicked up to eleven, all at once. She'd developed a migraine, and been lying in bed for over an hour, just concentrating on tuning everything out. It wasn't easy, but she eventually seemed to get a little control of it.
It was after midnight when she went downstairs to get a drink of water, pjs on, hair up in a messy ponytail.
Liam wasn't sleeping either. He was downstairs, just about to head out of the kitchen with a glass of water in his own hands, when Audrey came in and he nearly smacked into her. Narrowly avoiding it, he sidestepped and watched her for a moment. "Sorry," He said, taking that moment to study her. She didn't look so good. Maybe it was because it was night time, maybe she'd just woken up. "You ok?" ( of the wolfy variety ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Eli and Audrey Where: Their place When: Afternoon
It was one of those days where staying in was the only option and Eli had taken up beside the fire, sketching away in his notebook. He’d spent the morning helping chop wood for people, his good deed of the day, and now he just wanted to relax. Maybe later he’d go see Corey, perhaps join her for dinner, but he wanted to see if the storm let up a little. When the electricity went out, he sighed, but was otherwise unbothered. They’d gone years without electricity; a few days wouldn’t kill them.
Audrey came up behind Eli and gave him a little squeeze on the shoulder as she sat down next to him. "Hey," she greeted. She was still up in the air over everything with Finn and Liam, maybe she needed a little Eli time. Also, there was the matter of becoming a werewolf, which she was still on board with. “You look cozy.” ( catch up time, jealousy angles and a brand new werewolf ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Finn and Audrey Where: Their House When: Afternoon
Finn had had a decent day at work, which had him on a decent footing for the afternoon. He supposed he should have been thinking of Avery all day, which in a way he was, but she hadn’t consumed his thoughts as he might imagine she would have. He was looking forward to seeing her, but perhaps not the event as much. While he wasn’t as aware of it as he should be, social settings were not his best and this was likely to test that. That was still a few hours away though, time enough to eat and shower before he headed to meet her, so it wasn’t in the forefront of his mind like making a sandwich was, and he was thinking more on food than anything else as he got to the house and stepped inside.

| Who:: Avery and Audrey When: very early Where: Finn and company's house
It was late by the time Avery got dressed and left Finn in his bedroom, well past midnight. The house was quiet, so Avery walked as quietly as she could down the stairs, holding her sandals in one hand. She stifled a yawn and tried to brace herself for the walk home. Hopefully it wouldn't be too chilly. It had been totally worth it, of course, but she was still more than ready to get home and pass out in her bed since she didn't think it was the best idea to sleep over at Finn's just yet.
Once she got to the bottom of the stairs, Avery sat down on the step to slip her shoes on.
Audrey knew it was probably weird of her to have waited up. But she hadn't really wanted to go upstairs and hear anything, so she'd stayed downstairs, then it had gotten late and she didn't know if it would be even weirder, so she'd half dozed on the couch listening to music. And now apparently she was faced with Avery. Sitting up, she tugged the buds out of her ears, and she gazed at the girl. “...hey,” she said, voice barely above a whisper. She didn't want to scare Avery or wake anyone else up. ( also awkward ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Noah and Audrey Where: around town When: early evening
Noah was behind in looking for Sylvia. He’d spent some time at the school and then talking to Avery and now it was getting later in the day. He didn’t care though. He was going to go out looking for her anyway. Starting with her house first and then working his way northward this time. He just needed a few supplies and he’d just finished gathering them in town. So what if the full moon was tonight? He was way north of the encampment and he could handle himself, he was sure.
He was just passing in front of the salon, cutting through on his way past the hospital toward the end of Sage road. Lost in thought and plan, he wasn’t focused enough on what he was doing. The door to the shop opened and he collided with the person exiting. His hands shot out immediately to save them both from falling which meant he ended up holding both her arms above the elbow for a moment before he let got, backed off, and said, “I am so sorry. Mind was somewhere else. Are you okay?”
Audrey squeaked slightly, though laughed when she was steadied. "God, I need to watch where I'm going!" she said, smiling at the guy. Who was familiar. "Hey! I know you from school, right?" she asked. "...Noah?" she suggested, thinking that was right. If not she was going to be hugely embarrassed. But he stood out, with those eyes and that hair, so yeah. She'd noted down his name at some point. ( and politics ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Finn and Audrey Where: their house When: Evening
Finn went for run after work, something long and drawn out to keep his strength up and something that felt like a hold over from a previous life. Running was easier. It let him let down the guards, be more of himself, without feeling the fear. Who could feel fear when they weren’t being chased and everything was just moving forward? He’d put in a few miles before finally stopping at the house, stretching in the backyard to cool down.
Audrey was feeling weirdly optimistic. She was singing softly to herself, a more upbeat song than she'd been indulging in lately, and she gave a little bit of a dance around as she cleaned, dusting the livingroom. "...her eyes are hazel, her name is Mable, I kissed her once and now I'm able, to walk a mile, crack a smile, she makes me want to kiss all the babies, hug the puppy dogs..." ( and important news ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Audrey and Eli Where: their house When: very late
Audrey had waited up for Eli, not sure how things were going. She'd wanted to go with him to the meeting, but it hadn't been allowed. So, she waited, instead. She nibbled at her lower lip, already sitting up on the couch when she heard his approach up the porch steps. When the door opened, she was already talking. "How was it?"
Eli was still overwhelmed when he left the meeting, having accepted the idea that he was a werewolf on the word of others, plus the idea that there were vampires about. That hadn't been mentioned at the werewolf meeting, but at dinner with Corey and her grandfather. He hadn't gotten a chance to tell Audrey about his strange dinner experience, which was how he knew she had to be asking about the meeting. Now that he'd been through it, he was glad she hadn't gone with him. They would have sniffed her out immediately. "It was weird," he said, glad she had waited up for him. "The whole night's been weird. Do you want me to start with dinner or the meeting?" ( tomorrow we'll tell the guys ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Finn and Audrey Where: Their house When: late evening
Finn had spent the rest of the afternoon, having a couple of drinks at the pump, then sneaking away for another make out session. It was getting late when he left and even then Finn didn’t want to go, but he couldn’t stay the night away from home. It was well past dark when he slipped into the house, heading towards the kitchen first to find something to drink before heading to bed.
Audrey was feeling off, though couldn't put her finger on why. Maybe it was Liam's disappearing act. She didn't know. She didn't want to bitch about it or anything, but it hadn't felt good. She was in the kitchen, cleaning, for once not humming or singing to herself, as her thoughts were too deep to allow for it. She barely noticed when Finn arrived, but did at the last second. "Hey." she greeted. She noticed he looked a little disheveled, but that was all. ( touching base ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Finn and Audrey and later Liam Where: Their house, on the way to the hospital, hospital When: late evening
Finn had waited as long as he could, finally finding Liam and pushing him into the space that they’d taken Eli that they wouldn’t let Finn into. He hadn’t even seen his wounds taken care of, but they’d stopped bleeding, drying stuck to his shirt and it didn’t matter otherwise. What mattered was getting them all in the same place. Which was why, when no one was looking, he left. He could still hear the growls, but his goal was home and he was able to move quickly, letting himself in and shutting the door behind him to call for her. “Audrey!” ( Read more... ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Audrey and Angelo Where: the pub When: afternoon
It had been a long night. She’d been up for much of it, hearing howling outside and she was worried about Liam, even if he was safe at the hospital. It reminded her of all the bat attacks, only this seemed so much worse. But regardless of whether or not she was scared, it was a week day, and that meant school, then work.
Feeling like she could use it, she headed for the brewery, not even quite sure what she was going to do there. Get a beer? Maybe. Did that make her a budding alcoholic, since she’d snuck a beer the other night too? Was she being paranoid?
Walking inside, the bright afternoon sun left behind, she glanced around. Heading up to the bar, she smiled at the guy behind it. “Hi.” she greeted. ( zomg awesome! ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Finn and Audrey Where: their house When: evening
By the time Finn had made it back from Avery’s house to his own he was drenched completely through. The shirt he’d worn was completely plastered to him, hair hanging in his face and his boots were making a squishing noise with every step he took. It didn’t stop him though, dripping through the house to find anyone there. Someone had to be home, but it was dark in the house with the lights not working.

| Who: Audrey and Finn Where: school playground When: late afternoon
Audrey left the crowd behind. People were picnicing in central park there, and as she passed someone's unattended basket, she quietly and totally unobtrusively lifted a beer from it. She walked away from the proceedings entirely. She kept walking until she found herself at the playground at the school, and she sat down on the merry go round, cracking the beer to sip it. She was a massive lightweight. She knew that. And she didn't know if this was enough to get her buzzed or not but she'd take the chance. | Who: Open to Everyone! Where: The Movie Festival, Central Park When: 4 p.m.
When the clock struck 4, Chiri bounded up onto the stage, grinning and waving at everyone. She'd been given a microphone earlier, which might have been a bad idea, considering it was now covered in stickers. Rainbows and happy faces type stickers. "Good afternoon, Domers! Welcome to happy good fun festival day, with lots of stuff going on! There should be something everyone can enjoy, and we've got an event here to help out our treasured citizens--the children! All proceeds go to the orphanage, which I will assure my very self! If anyone tries to pull a fast one, they're getting bitten! And no one knows if I have rabies or not!" she said brightly to the crowd.
"Anywho! Today, we are gathered here to honor a time tested tradition! To totally sell people off for good times for a good cause! So get out your wallets, and feast your eyes on this Dome's bravest bachelors!" Chiri winked at the crowd. "And by the way, they are all way easy on the eyes, so let's cough up some decent pricetags!" she teased. "Here's how this goes! Opening bids start out at twenty bucks! They'll go up five at a time!" she explained. "To make a bid, wave your number around, and someone'll spot it. Probably me. Then there'll be raising bids, and all that til someone comes out on top! Winners will get an evening with their shiny bought man, along with tickets to a movie at the theater! I should tell you it's got to be done within thirty days, but who the heck would wait it out that long when these men are just waiting for you?" Chiri bounced up and down on her feet. "And on that note--let the bidding begin!!" | comments: 109 comments or Leave a comment |
