Who: Finn, Liam, Audrey, Eli, and Corey
Where: Their house
When: Morning

Eli woke to the sound of his phone, which was only odd because everyone that usually messaged him was in the house with him. He rubbed his eyes as he picked it up, frowning at the message from Jack. He sent one back, then another, before turning to wake up Corey. “Hey,” he said softly, touching her shoulder. “You awake?” He was still learning the difference between a sleeping heartbeat and a waking one, but if he was awake, then he thought Corey probably was too.

She'd taken a while to get the blood off of her, and to patch up the wounds she'd acquired. Thankfully, Eli had seemed...well. Just fine. It was weird, but a pretty big check in the plus column. She was awake, just sore. “Yeah,” she answered, voice quiet. “How are you feeling?” she asked, shifting to look at him.

Who: Corey and Eli
Where: Corey and Serge's house
When: evening
Warnings: violence

Corey had been packing up a few things, making sure the rifle was loaded and she had enough ammo, just in case. Certainly, she was guessing she wouldn't need it, but she wanted it. She'd learned a long time ago to never go anywhere completely unarmed. So, she didn't. She thought she was ready, though. She had just grabbed a quick bite to eat, before she went to Eli's.

She finished up the pb and j sandwich she'd made herself, then started to head to the stairs, so she could grab her bag. She had to pause, however, as she heard footsteps on the porch. Turning instead toward the windows, she saw through the sheers several other people heading toward her house.

Who: Corey and Serge
Where: Their home
When: Morning

There was a crime scene waiting, that much Serge knew. Two of them, even, and bad ones from the messages he’d gotten. Soon enough he’d have to move on one of them and try to get in front of whatever was aiming itself at Delphi, but Serge was seasoned enough to approach that with a level head. He needed proper tools, and to see to anything that might not keep for his time away.

Keeping his granddaughter in the loop was high on the list of the latter, which had Serge tending to the former in the kitchen. His bow and quiver had been laid next to a pack with a police rifle, and his arrows were out on the table with each waiting for its’ turn as Serge put a fresh edge on their broadheads. Corey wouldn’t like knowing about this and not coming with, of course, so he’d made oatmeal again. Maybe it’d keep her from protesting if she was busy eating. Probably not.

Who: Eli and Corey
Where: Corey’s House
When: Evening

While Eli wasn’t usually one to miss school, he made an exception the morning after the full moon. He spent most of the day asleep, and then when he did get up, he went to work, like everything was normal. He got home from work, showered, and was out the door again, leaving a note on the counter as to where he’d gone. Everyone that he lived with had seen him in passing, but now it was time to go find Corey. That he’d made it through the night without incident put a bit of a bounce in his step, and he was almost smiling by the time he knocked on her door. Things could have been bad, but they hadn’t been, and that was something to be happy about.

When: Noon-ish

As soon as class let out, Eli made a bee-line for Corey. He had wanted to call her, but he wasn’t good at talking on the phone. And he’d thought about dropping by, but he didn’t want to have this conversation with her in front of her grandfather. So when he realized he’d been avoiding the conversation, he knew he had to take whatever opportunity he could get. At least her grandfather had prepped her on what might be out there. Hopefully she wouldn’t see him as a threat, but there was no telling. “Hey,” he said, speeding up his walk so that he was beside her, walking away from the school. “I… I was wondering… what’re you doing this afternoon?”

Subject:The Dinner
Time:07:03 pm
Who: Corey, Eli, and Serge
Where: Corey and Serge’s house
When: Evening

It should’ve been so normal, so mundane, but for Serge Greylin? This was one of the stranger moments he’d found himself in in years now. Putting the finishing touches on a simple dinner in the kitchen, he couldn’t help reflecting on how foreign all of this was, and how removed he was from any semblance of the normal world. Serge hadn’t cooked a proper meal since the old days, and then only for himself. He’d never expected to be doing so for company, especially when that company was his granddaughter and the boy who’d orbited into her life.

He could only hope that Eli would measure up, already doubting it but trying to at least give him some benefit of doubt for the moment. So he was possibly infected, potentially damaged like most survivors, and probably sweet on Corey… that definitely stacked Serge’s favor against him, but he was going to try. If only for Corey. And when Eli finally got here? Serge would find out just how determined he really was to withstand the old Russian’s scrutiny.

All told, Serge Greylin had only been a few steps behind the spread of infection when it began. A man with contacts such as his that had such reach and scope would have to be, though; events that shifted the world’s balance always created new work opportunities for men without ethics. And this had started off no differently for him, coming in the form of a call from an old associate while Serge was on a job in Canada.

Time:01:38 am
Who: Gabe and Corey
Where: school
When: noonish

Gabe stood just inside the school door, watching the rain come down. The other students had mostly trickled out, pulling out their umbrellas or raincoats and running through the downpour. He had neither today, his mind half gone since finding out about Ren’s death. Gabe moved through the motions, mimicking daily life without completely living it. It had been a while since he’d been this numb, but it was easier than feeling the pain. And the guilt. That was the worst of it. No matter how he saw it, he’d started the chain reaction that got them to where they were now. He’d always been angry about the deaths caused by the zombies, but this... this was his doing, at least in his eyes.

Corey was going to head to the hospital after school, her mind on Eli. It was pretty damn hard to miss Gabe, though. Especially because she almost walked past him without recognizing him. His entire posture was different. He wasn't looking like himself at all. So she pulled up short, refocusing her attention on him. "Hey," she said, ducking to put herself in his path, in his field of vision. “You okay?”

Corey had stayed at the hospital overnight. Her grandfather had needed to get back out there, and part of the deal was she stayed safe. Corey had gotten the text from Finn, and knew she wanted to get to the hospital. But, because she was getting warnings, and she now had her grandfather around to be upset with her over not doing the smart thing, she merely contacted him. It was late, she didn't even know if visiting hours were a thing, or if they were up and running, so she may need him to swing something in order to see Eli.

Serge almost wanted to chide his granddaughter for how easily he’d broken into her home, slipping past the basic locks like a shadow in the earliest darkness of the morning. He almost wanted to, but there were reasons to not even bother. Like, say, his being in Delphi for over a week now without contacting her. Or just the fact that he cared about the girl on a level that nothing else in the world got from the old Russian, not even himself.

Subject:Company for the Storm
Time:09:21 pm
Who: Eli and Corey
Where: Corey’s House
When: Early Evening

When the lights went out, Eli began to worry, the storm outside like nothing he’d seen since moving into the dome. A little rain wouldn’t hurt anyone, but they weren’t prepared like they might have been on the outside. Well, most people weren’t prepared. They were prepared, at least when it came to the essentials. Once everything in the house was securely fastened, ready to ride out the storm, Eli wrapped a bundle of firewood in plastic and set out into the rain. They had enough wood to last them days, but he wasn’t sure Corey would have any at all. No one expected it to get cold in the dome, but no one expected the doors to shut either. With the rain coming down in his face, he knocked at her door, then brushed his wet hair from his eyes. His raincoat seemed to be doing little good, but at least the wood was dry.

Time:02:42 am
Who: Corey and Avery
Where: shop downtown
When: afternoon

Corey had gotten some money together, and gone shopping. Which she hadn't really done for anything but food since she'd got to the dome, so that was weird in general. She was standing outside one of the shops, looking in the window at the racks of clothes in there, and she was nearly afraid to go in and even try anything on. She was nervous, and was utterly unsure what to do with herself.

She'd texted Gabe, to ask his opinion because she lacked friends of any other description. She very much had no females around to help her in that even a little. So she stood there, waffling over what to do in preparation of her date with Eli. It just sucked because she knew she was psyching herself out. It was stupid. She just couldn't quite help it.

When: Immediately after the auction

Eli knew Corey was uncomfortable coming up on stage and he didn’t blame her. He didn’t like being up there either. The faster they could get off, the better, and once he was out of the spotlight he gave her a little smile. “Thanks for bidding on me,” he said, leading her over to the table where she would pay. He didn’t know what to make of the gesture, but that didn’t mean he didn’t like it.

"I um. Welcome?" she suggested, not sure what to do. She was still feeling mortified, and she quietly paid her bid, then hurried out of the tent, hoping he would follow her. But god she needed air.

Time:12:05 am
Who: Open to Everyone!
Where: The Movie Festival, Central Park
When: 4 p.m.

When the clock struck 4, Chiri bounded up onto the stage, grinning and waving at everyone. She'd been given a microphone earlier, which might have been a bad idea, considering it was now covered in stickers. Rainbows and happy faces type stickers. "Good afternoon, Domers! Welcome to happy good fun festival day, with lots of stuff going on! There should be something everyone can enjoy, and we've got an event here to help out our treasured citizens--the children! All proceeds go to the orphanage, which I will assure my very self! If anyone tries to pull a fast one, they're getting bitten! And no one knows if I have rabies or not!" she said brightly to the crowd.

"Anywho! Today, we are gathered here to honor a time tested tradition! To totally sell people off for good times for a good cause! So get out your wallets, and feast your eyes on this Dome's bravest bachelors!" Chiri winked at the crowd. "And by the way, they are all way easy on the eyes, so let's cough up some decent pricetags!" she teased. "Here's how this goes! Opening bids start out at twenty bucks! They'll go up five at a time!" she explained. "To make a bid, wave your number around, and someone'll spot it. Probably me. Then there'll be raising bids, and all that til someone comes out on top! Winners will get an evening with their shiny bought man, along with tickets to a movie at the theater! I should tell you it's got to be done within thirty days, but who the heck would wait it out that long when these men are just waiting for you?" Chiri bounced up and down on her feet. "And on that note--let the bidding begin!!"

Who: Eli and Corey
Where: The Library
When: Late Afternoon
Warnings: None

While Eli had school in the morning, the rain had kept him out of the fields in the afternoon. He found himself at the library instead of home, though, looking for a distraction, or even a quiet place to sit and draw. He felt like he needed to talk to Finn, to apologize maybe, but that would mean he felt sorry for something he’d done. It was true that he didn’t want to upset his friend, but everything he’d said, he’d meant. So how was he supposed to apologize? He was avoiding the contact altogether, finding a table at the library and sitting down to draw. He’d gathered a few books he wanted to choose between, but so far drawing had been his distraction.

Who: Gabe and Corey
Where: The Library
When: Mid-morning
Warnings: None

Gabe had never missed Wikipedia more than he did now. There was so much he wanted to look up and it would have been so much easier if the internet had still been available. Instead, he was wandering around the library, left to sort through books that rarely contained the information he was looking for. At first it had started with honey bees, but now he wanted to know about ghosts. Most of what he found was fiction. This wasn’t a total surprise, but he wanted something more concrete now that he’d seen them for himself. Not sure where else to look, he wandered through the aisles aimlessly, humming a tune he couldn’t quite place.

It was quiet at the library. No one was in there when she'd been in the back room repairing torn pages, and she was surprised when she returned to the desk and heard whistling. She nibbled her lip, not sure if she should call out or not, in case she was disturbing someone. Instead of doing so, she walked along the stacks until she spotted the whistler, who happened to be Gabe. She stood at the end and gave a wave.

Who: Corey and Jaime
Where: main street
When: 10am
Warnings: none so far

It was early, and she was up, even if there wasn't any school that day. She'd been out for a walk, considering going for the trade circle to see what might be there. It wasn't like she had anything better to do with her time, and she was starting to feel like she needed something. She missed her grandfather pretty incredibly badly that day, wishing he was around or she could see him. Know where he was, if he was okay.

She slowed, as very abruptly, there was darkness. She pulled up short, immediately reaching for the knife she carried, not even thinking about it. It was an ingrained reaction. Her eyes adjusted, though there wasn't much going on, period. Just a lot of startled sounds from people in the nearish vicinity. And then, a sound that by all rights shouldn't have sent chills up her spine, but did. What the hell was that? Cranking? What?

Corey was out walking along the tree line, keeping beneath the branches as well as she could. She recognized it was still ridiculous, still massively stupid that she felt like she needed something overhead (especially knowing that there was a dome covering the entire town as well), but that was how she was wired. Absently, she was humming to herself, though the tune wasn't anything in particular. Nothing special.

Pausing, she leaned her back against one of the trees, and dug an apple out of her backpack, taking a bite of it before she considered what she was going to do next with her day.

Who: Riley and Corey
Where: The Ranch
When: early afternoon
Warnings: none currently

Corey had gotten out of school, and afterwards gone wandering. She wasn’t due in to work tonight, and so she had time on her hands. Open time wasn’t really Corey’s friend. She tended to not deal well with a lot of it. Empty hours, doing not much of anything wasn’t great for the mental health thing. So, she’d forced herself not to hide in her place, and to go out.

She had absolutely intended to be social. She had also utterly failed in that endeavor. In the end, she’d headed more toward the outskirts of the dome, and wound up eyeing the outer edges in the tall grass and beyond a fence that kept in...what, a ranch? Something like that. It was possible she should know the place by heart now, but she was ashamed to admit she didn’t. Something farm related went on over here, though.

Actually spotting a rabbit, she stopped, then crept up silently toward the fence. There was a good tree she’d been under for cover, and she quietly took aim, leading the rabbit ever so slightly before she let the metal ball fly.
