Subject:Searching
Time:10:23 am
Who: Patrick, Fiona, and Lochlan
When: Early afternoon
Where: The outer ring of town

Lochlan had worked himself out of being stunned at how they’d found the pub and that the girls were all missing and on into being furious by way of determined. It was fueling him as he texted his family and Lily’s brother as requested by Aidan. It was fueling him as they swung by to pick up Patrick at his place on their way toward the edge of town to search the houses on the outermost part of the dome’s center. It kept him quiet and focused and on the edge of raging at anything or anyone that got in his way. He was trying not to think about what could be happening to the girls. They were soft and beautiful and feisty and his. His sister, his cousin, his girlfriend. This felt personal on so many levels but reports were coming from everywhere that others were taken as well during the night. He tried to remain objective but he needed Eily to keep him level-headed and she wasn’t there. So he was relying on Fiona and Patrick, most especially Patrick as his alpha.

“I’m going to kill people by the time this is over. You know that, right?” he said to no one in particular as he looked into the windows of a house that looked empty or abandoned thanks to the dome’s doors shutting and possibly a good hiding spot for kidnappers. Especially if it had a basement. “I’m going to fuck some shit up before then too. How could they do this?”

Subject:The Pub Discovery
Time:08:14 pm
Who: Lochlan and Fiona
Where: The Pub
When: Early, early morning

Lochlan had reached the pub before Fiona but only because he had the increased speed of a werewolf. He hadn’t transformed but he could smell blood when he neared the building. A lot of it by his estimation. His texts to his sister stopped immediately but he didn’t go inside yet. He wasn’t sure he could or wanted to without someone else there with him. Still, in between then and the time Fi showed up, his mind worked through a million different horrific scenarios until he was almost sure he was going to go in on his own in spite of his instincts telling him to stay outside. He wasn’t scared for himself… not his own safety anyway. He was scared of what he’d find. He could smell Avery and Eily and Lily and so much blood and all of the smells mingled together in such a way that he wasn’t sure if the blood was any of the girls’. He paced endlessly waiting for Fiona, so grateful when he saw her in the distance. He paused, waiting for her to get closer before sharing what he could smell.

Fiona hadn’t felt right for the last few hours. She had had that nagging sense that something was wrong, but she had just attributed it to being spooked by the rumors of recent danger, or being hungry, or maybe just gassy. No matter what excuse she came up with though, it didn’t seem to ease her nerves; if anything, they only grew worse with the later it got and no Avery joining her at home. She supposed it was possible that her little sister wouldn’t spend the night yet since they had only talked about her moving in the other day, but she seemed pretty anxious to get out. Then Lochlan’s text came in and she was done. First place to check would be O’Reillys to see if she was still there, and then she would head to hers and Darcy’s place if needed. She had tried to keep things light with Lochlan as a distraction from the actual worry that had been building in the pit of her stomach, but his last text as she began nearing the pub unsettled her all over again. She slipped her phone into her back pocket and picked up her pace to a steady jog, waving her hand as she saw her brother in the distance. Once she reached him, a little out of breath, her gaze worked over his expression and a concerned look took over hers as well. “What’s wrong?”

“We’re going to find them.” )

Who: Lochlan and Lily
Where: Lily's House
When: Early Evening

Lily had been zoning out in the shower, soaking up the warmth of the water after the chilled morning she spent by the lake with Gin. She was kind of just as confused as she had been prior to talking things out with her new friend, but she at least had some additional insight to take into consideration. She reached forward to turn off the stream, dressing herself absent mindedly in a cozy sweater and leggings while her mind drifted over their conversation and how she could fight for Lochlan, stepping into the hall with a towel to dry her hair when she heard a knock on the door. She quirked a brow, not sure exactly who it was since she hadn't been expecting company. Maybe it was some knight on a horse offering to whisk her away from zombies and vampires and werewolves and general insanity. Her imagined knight bore a striking resemblance to Lochlan, complete with one of those medieval helmets and heavy, heavy armor. She wore a rather sad grin then called out, "I'm coming!" She hurried to answer before her mystery guest disappeared. She almost dropped the towel in hand when her eyes rested on Lochlan. She wished he could take her away from all of this, more than anything. "Hey you." She said with a smile, trying not to let her previous thoughts and concerns dominate her expression. She wasn't sure what to say still or what to ask, so she wasn't ready to initiate the topic with him yet.

Lochlan had headed straight to Lily's house after his conversation with Eily. He wanted to talk to her, see her, tell her that he thought things were going to be okay finally. They at least had a shot at something without the lingering idea of another girl hanging over them. He let his nose play with the distinctive Lily smell the closer he got to her house, finding himself smiling unconsciously. He was still a bit drunk from all the whiskey he'd ingested but that was okay. He could still think and talk and that was what counted. When Lily opened the door he impulsively put his arms around her and lifted her off the floor to give her a whiskey-flavored kiss. "Hey, I'm drunk," he announced and kissed her again before letting her down to her feet again. "Couldn't resist, sorry. I'm just happy." He looked at her then, taking her in, that unconscious smile returning to his face. She was so good. She'd put up with so much from him. He was glad he could finally be good back to her and stop running her around the emotional rollercoaster.

“But I'm going to be okay finally. And things are so much clearer. The way I feel about you.” )

Time:12:12 am
Who: Eily and Lochlan
Where: Eily's
When: late afternoon

Eily had gotten a worded text from Lochlan, and was glad he wanted to talk – but was nervous as hell at the same time. She'd kind of been assuming he'd be awol for a while after the revelation the other night. So, if he wanted to talk already, she had to wonder just how bad things had gotten for him in the time in between. Was this going to be when he told her he was out again? Or was this them evening things out? She had no idea, but she was nervous. She paced a little in the living room as she waited. Back and forth, back and forth.

Lochlan made his way quickly to Eily’s away from the emotionally charged experience with Sylvia. He was trying not to think about any of it as he jogged back, mostly focusing on trying not to be super sweaty when he talked to Eily. Which was a stupid little detail, she’d spoken to him when he was reeking of alcohol and hadn’t bathed in a week before, but it was something to keep his mind off overthinking before he got to talk to her. He paused before entering the house, listening and smelling to be sure they were in fact alone. Or maybe he just needed a second. He walked in and found Eily pacing in the living room. The sight of her made his heart jolt, his, “Hey,” coming out a little wavery.

Who: Sylvia and Lochlan
Where: outside the funeral home
When: late afternoon

Sylvia had found out about the rash of murders in town later than others, when she had stopped by the hospital to check when she worked next. Clearly there had been a lot of trouble, and she finally had a phone number to give them to call her in if needed. Then she went directly to the funeral home, where she knew she would be very much needed with that many funerals coming up.

So, she had arrived there, to the very grateful man who ran the place. She started her usual duties, getting everything prepared so when the bodies arrived, it would be simple to go through the funerary processes. She was taking a break in the late afternoon, sitting beneath the large tree outside the funeral home, eating an apple. The rain had subsided slightly, a light mist still occurring but there was still complete cloudcover. Her parasol was having to do today since she still didn't have her umbrella back, but where she was was fairly dry, and she was still of a mind to take advantage of a day where she could safely be outdoors.

Who: Lochlan and Eily
Where: boston
When: years ago

Lochlan was kinda high. Or maybe drunk. Probably a little of both? He was happy, as always. Because life was so fucking good he couldn’t not live it as fully as possible. He was at a party. A rager. There were topless chicks and dudes running around with no pants on. Lochlan was laughing his ass off. He caught a flash of a girl with blonde hair wearing a cheerleading uniform. Was it Halloween? Wait, what month was it anyway? He looked at his phone but all he thought next was he knew a cheerleader who was blonde. How was Eily doing anyway? As quickly as dumb numb thumbs could do so he pulled up a text to her and sent it. Or a few.

>> Hey! Hows my fave cuz? Ur doing god rite? Hows cheerleading? I should cum to a game rite? Im going 2 cum to a game!
>> He sure plays a mean pinball!
>> Did u no i can lick my own elbow? Wait no i cant. Nevermind.

Who: Avery, Lochlan, and Fiona
Where: Fiona’s House
When: Morning

Fiona stepped out of the shower and reached for a nearby towel, wrapping it around her slim frame before reaching for another to scrunch dry her hair. She wasn’t sure how soon she would see Lochlan after Avery, or if the two would be here at the same time, so she wanted to be sure she was able to bathe beforehand. With how heightened Lochlan’s senses were, she didn’t know if he’d be able to tell she had spent the night with a Ryker of her own, especially considering Jack was a werewolf himself. With how down he had sounded in his text messages, the last thing she was looking to cause him was any further aggravation by reminding him that his sister wasn’t a pure beacon of innocence.

She poked her head out of the bathroom to take a listen for if anyone had arrived before moving to her bedroom to slip into clothes for the day. It was still pretty chilly and the cold shower did not help, so she chose heavier layers to wear. A frown pulled at her lips at the idea that something was wrong with Avery based on the texts she and Lochlan shared earlier, moving from her bedroom to re-examine if any of her family had arrived yet. She wasn’t used to being the comforter, but she was ready to take on the role if needed.

Are we all on the same cycle today, or what? )

Who: Lochlan & Lily
Where: Lily's house
When: Evening (after the storm)

Lily had spent all day trapped alone at home and was beginning to go a little stir crazy. There wasn’t really any part of her that wanted to be outside in the weather as it had been, but she also didn’t want to be inside much longer either. Princess seemed to be pleased with her presence lingering longer than it typically did, at least. The kitten had spent periods snuggling beside her, chasing after nothing in particular, more snuggling, and the occasional hide-and-pounce game. If it weren’t for her furry baby, she was sure she would have lost her mind by now and been banging her head against a wall. That is until she received a text message from Lochlan, her mood brightening considerably at the mention that he was going to come check on her. She had tried telling him that he didn’t need to, but he insisted and she certainly wasn’t going to argue being able to see him. She had missed him more than she had wanted to tell him because she didn’t want to be overly needy considering they had just spent all last night and a part of the morning together in amazingly sweet, sweaty, hot, bliss.

Hovering near the fire that she had been keeping up in her fireplace for a good part of the day, she sat with guitar in lap, strumming chords and humming a few lines along with it. She would pause every now and again to jot down chords she liked and words or phrases to match in a notebook on the floor beside her. She wasn’t sure when Lochlan would be over, but she was doing her best to keep herself busy so as to avoid suffering from a bad case of ants in her pants.

Where: the bar
When: during the storm

Lochlan hadn’t been showing up for his shifts these days. She hadn’t seen him, he hadn’t been crashing either in his bed or on her couch, and it was...well. Lochlan being Lochlan. He flaked, it was what he did. She wasn’t even mad about the dumped shifts. It was actually pretty much refreshingly normal for the guy. She’d give him ten shades of hell for it, of course, but she wasn’t really upset at all. Eily had just opted to assume he wasn’t going to be in today either, and showed up for his shift, which was lucky because surprise! He hadn’t shown up.

With the weather being insane outside, there had only been one person in earlier, and they’d bugged out a half hour before. Not surprising, considering. But she actually didn’t mind the scenario. She had the bar to herself, she’d cracked a couple of beers and was cleaning up. Which at the moment, included her playing her battery powered portable stereo she used in the back when she was cleaning. Instead it sat on the end of the bar, blasting music that would never appear on the jukebox.

Who: Avery, Lochlan, Lily, and Fiona
Where: Fiona's House
When: Early Evening

It had taken Avery some of her afternoon to finally track down Lochlan’s Lily. Thankfully the texts that Fiona sent her after her sister spoke with Lochlan gave Avery a pretty good idea as to who Lily actually was. Dark haired, pretty. Avery visited Eatzy’s enough to remember the waitress there who matched the name and vague description. It just so happened Lily happened to be at the diner when Avery walked in, and after smiling and chatting her up for awhile, Avery revealed herself to be Lochlan’s sister, and invited Lily over to dinner. One thing Avery liked about Lily is she didn’t say no. Family was obviously important to the O’Reilly’s, and Avery was pleased that Lily seemed to get that after talking with Avery for a little while.

Now she was at Fiona’s, waiting for Lily to show up. Or her brother. Whoever made it first. The food was edible enough, or so Avery thought and it was nice being able to do this without a huge family dinner like Patrick seemed to want for Darcy and Noah. What better way to scare off a potential significant other than to toss every living O’Reilly at them at once? Even if Fiona and Avery were being silly about meeting Lily, at least they hadn’t invited the whole clan over.

“At least it smells okay,” Avery said to Fiona, looking down at the food they were finishing up. “I mean, it shouldn’t give anyone food poisoning.”

'This was an ambush. Oh they would so pay.' )

Time:11:29 am
Who: Fiona & Lochlan
When: Late morning
Where: Fiona’s house

Lochlan was sleeping on the couch. He had spent such a great evening with Lily then walked her home in the morning. He was happy in ways he hadn’t been in a long time it seemed. But he was exhausted. Sleeping in a high hide wasn’t exactly how he’d remembered, or at least, not how his back had remembered, having gotten used to the likes of softer places to sleep like couches and occasionally a bed. So he needed a nap. Fi’s seemed like the best place to crash at the moment because he was almost guaranteed not to run into Eily or anyone else except possibly Avery who would likely just leave him alone if she saw him sleeping. Or wake him up and grill him about Lily which he wouldn’t have minded in the least.

So he was sleeping, snoring and grinning like an idiot. He was dreaming about things he hadn’t decided to do with Lily on their overnight trip. Things he’d like to do in the future if given the chance. Every so often a word or two slipped out in a whisper or a laugh. Lochlan was probably the dorkiest happy sleeper there was.

Subject:Napping, high hide adventures, and some serious conversation
Time:05:32 pm
Who: Lochlan and Lily
Where: Lily's house then the forest
When: Afternoon through the day/night

Lily stood in her kitchen, leaning against the counter and tapping her nails thoughtfully against the surface as the sounds of Billie Holiday churned out crisply from the dual record and CD player she had situated within the living room. She couldn't sit down, she certainly couldn't lay down, and silence was a no go or else she would fall right asleep, and she did not want to miss Lochlan coming over. She brought a hand up to softly rub at her eyes before realizing she probably just ruined the small amount of eyeliner she had applied after Lochlan texting about seeing her today. She had already taken a shower as soon as she had arrived home, but giving herself a little boost in the make-up department was all for him, even if she applied it so it wouldn't be so obvious. She pushed herself up from the counter to stand up right then moved to her room. She took a look in the mirror, grateful to see she hadn't destroyed what she had applied and took to delicately wiping at the spots that had smudged to put them back in line.

She grinned, too tired to do much more than that, but she was absolutely giddy; Jack was okay and Lochlan was okay, which meant she was much more than okay. That heavy sense of doom that had floated over their heads the last few days, that should have dissipated into thin air. She was curious now as to what that meant for them and just a little nervous too. She liked Lochlan a lot and it was a little worrisome to think that since there would now be some sort of normalcy in their lives, that maybe he wouldn't want to spend as much time with her as they had originally planned. What if he didn't even like her as much as she liked him? She shook her head, trying to physically shake out those doubts from her mind and slowly returned to the kitchen for a glass of water. She wasn't going to let anything bring her down today. Once retrieving herself a glass, she took a sip then stared out the window and hummed along to the record, her voice carrying the tune strongly. It would probably be more effective to pour the water over her head than to actually drink it right now, but she was opting to try to keep from falling asleep standing up and to remain dry with the latter.

'Tell me a month ago you thought you'd be up in a tree with a wacky werewolf dancing to Irish tunes and riding an emotional rollercoaster from sanity to lunacy and back again.' )

Who: Lochlan and Lily
Where: The park then Lily's house
When: Late morning to late, late noon

Lily had been laying in bed wide awake, staring at the ceiling for a solid hour. Her head was pounding, though she doubted it was strictly a result from her hangover. The morning after her little binge surprisingly didn't have her feeling like complete shit, or maybe hangovers had become such a common theme in her mornings that she didn't pay much attention to the pains it brought on. What kept her clinging to her bed today was her recollection of last night's talk with Mickey and the fuck show that was fixing to happen tonight with the full moon. There was no way that whole shifting into a werewolf business was going to go smoothly for her brother, or anyone involved.

She sighed, finally throwing her covers off of herself and climbing out of her sleep sanctuary. She got herself a glass of water from the kitchen, pacing around the silent house with a frown. She couldn't do this all day.. she would lose her mind. Rushing to her room, she quickly changed into a pair of shorts, a tank, and threw her hair into a messy ponytail. There was nothing glamorous about her appearance right now, she just needed to get out. If she couldn't stop the nagging worries, maybe she could at least run away from them for a bit.

She was out of her house in a matter of minutes, taking off towards the park. A change of scenery would be nice today. Upon arrival, she did a brief set of stretches before taking off, starting with a steady jog.

'Then let’s go. We can just leave and be happy.' )

When: Afternoon
Where: On the way to the werewolf project

Lochlan was fresh off his horrible morning with Eily and he kind of needed a friendly face. He knew Chiri had asked him to sort out his family stuff before he called her or whatever, but there was never going to be a moment when Avery was okay with Chiri. He wasn’t going to cut her out of his life either though. So when he was set on leaving the house, he texted her.

Supernatural stuff happening, could use your expertise… maybe advice?

He didn’t figure she’d be judgmental at the very least. He made sure he was where he said he’d be on time. He waited for her, sniffing the air for her periodically.

Chiri was pleasantly surprised to get a text from Lochlan, and even more giddy with the subject. So, she hit back immediately. Oh! Love it! I'm all yours, come over? she returned, bouncing on the balls of her feet and everything.
Of course I'm on board! )

Who: Lily & Lochlan
When: Evening
Where: O’Reilly’s Pub

Lochlan had gone with Aidan to the site of the werewolf project. And he’d worked his ass off. He’d thrown everything he had into it until he was sweating and exhausted which actually took a lot longer than it would have pre-wolf attack. He recovered fairly quickly too, in the space of a shower at Eily’s while she was out and a 10 minute catnap (wolfnap?) in his favorite booth, and he was back to one hundred percent.

He’d kept his distance from Eily all day, not sure what to say after this morning, and had tried his best not to even think about it even as he started his shift that evening. He wished he could take a drink and get a little buzzy to bolster his courage, but alcohol didn’t have the same effect as it used to. So he was doing his best to lose himself in conversations with the patrons.

Eily had been out with Ben, and had a great time. She felt relaxed by the time she got home, a light, giddy sort of sensation that had overtaken the sick worry that had seemed to creep into her life and infect everything. She’d crashed hard, sleeping deeply til she slept herself out, then she got up, trudged to the livingroom, and fell face first onto the couch.

Lochlan had been sleeping off his conversation with everyone in his family it seemed. Except Eily. And no alcohol. It had been rough but he'd managed to crash on Eily's couch and actually got to sleep at some point. Until she apparently forgot a couch existed in her life. And was face first on his chest. Lochlan woke with a start and a laugh. "Whoa, you okay there?" he asked before he'd taken a deep breath and smelled the man on her. "Like really okay?"

Subject:So They Might Be Werewolves
Time:11:13 pm
Who: Pat and Lochlan
When: Evening time
Where: Patrick’s side of the townhouse shared with Eily

Patrick had spent a lot of his time thinking after that stupid run the night before. He’d locked himself in his room and only texted Lochlan to come over once he was sure he had his head about him.

So they might be werewolves. That was...apparently a thing. They might be werewolves and if they were, then he and Lochlan really needed to talk about this face to face. He needed to get Lochlan on board with his vision, since he was positive it was the best one for the family. So he was waiting, pacing downstairs outside of his door as he waited on Lochlan to arrive.

Lochlan had finished his shift at the pub and run back to Eily’s to check in. He didn’t need his cousin worrying that he was off running wild and never coming back again. Not that he would now. Not after his conversation with Aidan. That had scared the crap out of him until it had settled him into determination not to be a prissy little girly anymore about this. It happened, he had no choice, he had to face it head on. Like the zombies. And who better to do it with than family?

He’d finished a shower but had decided yet again not to shave when Patrick’s text came in. He wasn’t long getting outside and face to face with his cousin.

“So, thanks for calling bullshit at that meeting,” he said by way of greeting, shaking water out of his hair.
