Subject:Definitely Not Dead
Time:05:09 pm
Who: Mickey and December
Where: the morgue
When: early morning 04-18-2017

Zania had handed him over to the doctor and a nurse who set about cleaning him up and bandaging him back together. He could tell they were relieved all the blood on him wasn’t his, but he knew the nurse struggled as she tried to clean up and bandage where Violet had carved “JERK” into his arm. It was hard for him to look at too. Once they were finally done patching him up, his clothes were replaced with some loaned scrubs. The shirt was a touch too short, but considering it wasn’t covered in blood, Mickey was fine with it. His forearm was bandaged, as well as a cut over his eye from being smacked around. There were others bandages too, but the shirt covered the worst of them. What it didn’t cover was the nasty red marks around his wrists from being bound up, or the black eye he was sporting.

Part of him wanted to go home. Just sleep. But he needed to be somewhere else first. So once they let him go, instead of trudging outside, he headed downstairs, making his way into the morgue. “December?” His voice wasn’t as croaked, but it was still ragged, still hoarse, but they said that would get better as he got more rest and water.

Who: Zania and December
Where: The morgue
When: Around 2:30 AM

It felt like she’d walked a marathon by the time she got to the morgue, but it was only because Zania was shuffling along. Her body ached from head to toe, the lack of blood in her system effecting her more than she was willing to admit. If December hadn’t had blood to offer her, she would’ve taken from her brother, regardless of how awkward it made him feel. Luckily, they didn’t have to go there and Justin had headed home with a promise to clean up her living room. Lance had dropped her off at the hospital before heading over to the brothel, where he would hopefully find Kenzie. This night seemed to be lasting forever and not in a good way.

“Hello?” she called out as she pushed open the door to the morgue. She was expecting it to smell like the frogs she dissected in school, but instead it smelled clean. Like disinfectant. That was generally not a good thing, but far better than the alternative.

Who: Mannix and December
Where: The morgue
When: Late Afternoon

While it was hard to stay dry with the weather as it was, Mannix appreciated the chance to get out of the house earlier than usual. He’d stopped by both crime scenes to see if he could pull anything off them, but so many people had been in and out of both that it was hard to decipher which scent to follow. The scent of werewolf, however, was all over one of them, which was why he packed a round of silver bullets and grabbed his machete. He had a small collection of them at this point, and this particular one had been dipped in silver before being sharpened. If he was going to be hunting werewolves, he might as well be properly armed.

“Afternoon,” he smiled as he pushed open the door to the morgue. It smelled like death inside, but that didn’t slow him down. It was just his amped up scenes picking up on fresh corpses and he’d get used to it soon enough.

Who: Mickey and December
Where: December’s house
When: Early afternoon

Mickey wasn’t going to do anything, but as soon as the weather got bad, he couldn’t stop looking at the spot on December’s roof that he’d been thinking about fixing for a while. He shouldn’t bother with it considering he wasn’t sure if his help would be an invasion or well appreciated, but then the sky got dark and he couldn’t stop himself. Which meant when the rain and sleet started, he’d already climbed the ladder and was working on part of her roof. He’d started at fixing it, then wound up just putting down a tarp as the weather turned, hoping it would hold through the worst of it. It was weird thing this weather, reminding him way too much of home, which was always an unsettling feeling. And if it was anything like home, it wasn’t going to get much better.

Who: Serge and December
Where: the morgue
When: night
Warning: somewhat nsfw

December was bored at work. There weren’t any autopsies to perform that night, which was great, but it meant she yet again was sort of not doing much of anything. The werewolf stuff had turned out okay, so she didn’t need to be spinning her wheels on that either. So, she was lying down on the couch in her office, tossing pencils at the ceiling to see if she could get them to stick. It was that interesting a night.

Boredom was welcome, as far as Serge was concerned. When the last week of his life went from fighting direwolves to building cages for and watching over shapeshifters? He’d take a dull night or two. And so far, that’s exactly what he’d gotten ever since the werewolf camp had disbanded following the full moon. He wasn’t complaining. He was running out of things to keep him busy, even after exercising, cleaning most of the weapons in the police station, walking patrol, and even doing his paperwork.

Luckily, Serge was a man who always had at least one backup plan worked out, and in the case of a boring night? He’d start with the most promising one; a visit to the morgue to check on the woman he’d nudged into organizing the supernatural in Delphi. Breezing through the mostly-quiet hospital hallways and descending to the morgue, Serge lingered in the halls beyond December’s workspace, knocking on a viewing window to announce himself before entering.

Time:01:23 am
Who: Zania and December
Where: December’s House
When: Afternoon

When it decided to rain all afternoon, Zania realized this was the perfect day to get her tattoo done and not have to try and catch December after dark. They had similar schedules, both working at night, and she doubted there’d be another good opportunity for her to get out early in the next few days. The weather in the dome had become especially unpredictable since the doors shut, so she’d go when she could. Standing at the door, though, her nervousness returned. Not due to getting a tattoo, but because this was December. Mickey’s December. She barely knew her, yet had built her up to this perfect woman in her head, or at least someone better than her. The comparison had never been made aloud, except Zania could feel it there every time Mickey turned her down. But that wasn’t fair to December. Taking a deep breath, Zania knocked on the door.

December had been getting as much sleep as possible, though eventually had to get up. What she did with her time then was ink out the tattoo she'd had in mind before, the chains, the birds, the break in the links. It was delicate work, and she still wasn't quite finished with it, despite having worked on it for hours. When a knock came on the door, December set her gun down, walked over, and opened it up. Then she blinked in surprise, since it was Zania. "Hey," she said. "Is everything okay?" Her mind immediately lept to the idea that something had to be wrong.

Subject:Full Moon Rising
Time:10:06 pm
Who: Mannix and everyone at the encampment
Where: The Werewolf Encampment
When: Sunset through Moonrise

As soon as the sun fell down behind the trees, Mannix hurried down to the werewolf encampment. The moon still had a while before it rose in the sky, but they didn't know the exact timing. He wanted all the werewolves locked in their cages, ready for whenever that moment hit. He knew he wasn't the authority figure at the camp, but he had the feeling December was already there, guiding people. It was a good role for her, non-threatening to the wolves who didn't see her as an authority figure.

When he arrived some people were in cages, others were out, but everyone seemed to be heading that direction. He cast a glance towards the sky. The full moon was on it's way and when it got there they'd finally know what they were dealing with.

Who: December and Mickey
Where: on the way to the encampment
When: early morning

December had worked pretty much all day at the encampment, gone home, slept for too short a time, then got up to go to work. She buzzed home really quick, mainlining caffeine, she hopped into a cold shower to help jolt her awake more, then she was out the door again, holding a baggie of crackers in her teeth as she exited the house, yanking her shoe on. She stopped as she saw Mickey there, waving as she finished with her shoe, half hopping down the stairs on one foot before she was on the ground, dropping the crackers to her hand. “Morning!” she said. “C’mon, we can walk-and-talk.” she invited, since she’d got his text about wanting to talk.

Mickey had caught a few hours here and there after leaving Lily, exhaustion taking over more than anything else, because his mind sure as hell hadn’t slowed down any after he left her house. By the time the sun was up he was dressed and ready to head towards the encampment, assuming if he didn’t catch her before then, he’d see December there. What he wasn’t expecting was her finding him, waving him over as he closed his door and grabbed his tools. Nor was he expecting the good mood. What he wanted to talk about might put a bit of a damper on that for both of them. “Walking works better with both shoes,” he teased ever so gently, not wanting to jump into things just yet.

So, there was a great clearing, which was nice, and weirdly, a lot of people seemed to show up. She had opted to go buy a lot of water, and other shit, almost like she was setting up for a town freaking picnic. Only instead they were building super fun werewolf cages. Right.

As people milled around, she looked at everyone, and stood up on a cooler she'd brought. "Okay! So, hi. I'm December. And I figured this was our best bet, so that's why we're all here. To make sure tomorrow night doesn't get stupid and terrifying at the same time. Thanks for coming. Let's get this show on the road as fast as we can, and get this done. Honestly, with this many people it shouldn't take that long." Which was kinda shocking, but damn. There were a lot of people. "Any questions, find me and ask. Have at it."

Who: Aidan and December
Where: The Brewery
When: Morning

After being sent away from Sylvia’s the night before, Aidan was having trouble lifting his mood. He knew she was young, but he’d felt a connection with her, one that he couldn’t believe was all due to some kind of a vampiric spell. But he had to respect her wishes and leave her be, at least for a while. Something had spooked her and he was determined to find out what. He had a clue that it was Darcy, a suspicion that was confirmed later that morning when he began to argue with Darcy via text message. By the time he got into work, he was ready to punch someone. It was a good thing he was working back in the brewery, rather than the main room, because any wrong word might have caused him to snap. Trying to calm himself down, he poured himself a beer. It was never too early to drink.

December was taking things into high gear fast, so she was up bright and early to go get shit rolling. She already had a spot marked out on a town map to show people and send them there. She'd told Mannix about it, so he could pass the word on, and she'd get others kicked out of bed soon enough. When she got to the bar, she was sent back to the brewery when she asked for Aidan. Knocking on the door and heading inside, she peered around. "Aidan?" she called.

Who: December and Serge
Where: December’s house
When: 8:05 AM

There was still a faint ache in his limbs after his run, a low note of satisfaction over a good exercise that clung to Serge as he moved up the front walk of December’s house with a pair of coffees from Eatzy’s perched in his hands. He’d showered not long ago, changing to fresh clothes and tucking his variety of blades away on his person before heading out for December’s. It was a short walk, and cool enough outside for Serge to feel residual dampness clinging in both his hair and beard as he moved.

It was too nice a day to be dealing with the things he had, really; the structure of Delphi and the pleasant weather had Serge wishing he could believe the intent of the place, that life could start over. But it had been compromised… Setting his jaw as he shifted both coffees into a deft, one-handed grip, Serge reached out to knock firmly.

December had gotten home and cleaned up herself, and had changed into a tank top and pj pants, because Serge was just going to have to deal with her being comfy after her long shift. She got to the door and glanced out the peep hole either way, then pulled the door open with a smile. "Mornin." she greeted, turning to head back into her home as a way of inviting him in.

Who: Mannix and December
Where: The Morgue
When: After Midnight

There were few people in town that Mannix could drop by to visit at 3am, but December was one of them. The streets were empty and the hospital was quiet, and no one asked any questions as he found his way down to the morgue. While he thought about bringing a couple of beers, he knew how she felt about her job and instead opted for coffee. She’d need something to wash the taste of blood away. “Evening,” he said, pushing the door open with a smile. “How’re the dead faring? Staying dead, I hope?”

"So far." December said with a smile as she looked up from extremely boring inventory. "How fares the supernatural brothers of doom?" she asked. "Things all quiet on the home front?" What with them being vampires and werewolves and all. Cuz that was a thing now.

Who: Mickey and December
Where: Mickey's house
When: Late

The various things that had needed fixing beyond the work he’d done at the police station had kept Mickey busy throughout the day and right up until dusk despite the less than ideal weather that rolled in. Then he was headed back to his place to clean up and re-check the small stitches on his stomach and arm. A few had pulled a little with the work he’d done but everything was still intact and after his shower he didn’t quite rush in re-bandaging the areas. Instead he just ate something light, standing in the kitchen in just a pair of jeans that didn’t quite fit right and hung a little lower than he normally would wear them. He knew to expect December at some point, but wasn’t really rushing her arrival. She’d get there when she got there and getting twisted up and excited about it wasn’t going to help matters. So Mickey let himself focus on other things, even if it was just the rain falling outside and the sandwich he was eating.

The morning with Nic had gotten better, even if things still seemed shaky between them when he left. Micah was worried whatever was happening to him had screwed him up, and was in the process of ruining the two of them. Which meant he really needed answers. It was like an added level of need beyond what he already had.

Micah realized that he’d forgotten to actually say where he’d meet December, but habit had him heading towards her office in the basement. That made the most sense to him. “December?” he asked once he was letting himself into the morgue, looking around for her.

As soon as the sun sank behind the trees, Mannix was out of the house, heading down to the hospital. He hated waiting so long to check on his brother, but burning up in the sun wouldn’t do either of them any good. When he arrived, Jack was asleep or unconscious, but his heart sounded good and he was breathing solidly. It was enough to calm Mannix’s nerves for the time being, so he scribbled down a note, just in case he woke, and wandered down to the morgue.

“You in?” he called out as he opened the door. It always smelled cleaner than he expected, like disinfectant rather than decay. There was a hint of blood, but nothing like he’d experienced in the rest of the hospital. The bodies that came into the morgue didn’t tend to bleed all over the floor.

When: 3:30am onwards

When the text from Zania came in, Mannix headed straight for the hospital, glad that December lived so close. The idea of his brother bleeding out, from a wolf attack of all things, had him rattled, especially since he’d heard wolves in the distance, as well as gunshots. The hospital was dark when he arrived, but he could see better than most and he navigated the hallways, asking questions and looking for his brother. Eventually he got the information he was looking for-- Jack had been stabilized, was going to live, but he’d lost a lot of blood. He wouldn’t be leaving the hospital tonight, or even tomorrow. There was nothing he could do but wait.

Waiting was not something Mannix did well. Sitting beside his brother’s bed worked only for fifteen minutes before he was out the door again, heading for his house. If wolves were hunting people, then he was going to hunt wolves. He’d just walked in his front door when he received the text from December, so he grabbed his gun and his knife and walked right back out into the night.

He was the first one to arrive at December’s house and he took a seat on the porch, the same seat he’d been in hours before. While he still had things he wanted to talk to December about, that could wait for the moment. Killing wolves took priority.

‘The best way to go’, as it turned out, took six long hours from the point Serge initially left December’s house. Two were used to head home, feed himself, and shut his eyes for a refresher. Another one to head back and rally up with December before heading to where he felt most confident his target might reveal itself. As for the last three?

Silence, pure and almost tangible from the walk across Delphi to the lurking patrol in bushes and trees, along sidewalks and around streetlights. With the darkness settling in and the sounds of populated parts of the dome far away, Serge was working now. Words had become a valuable commodity, and most interactions were done with simple bits of hand signal. Everything else boiled down to watching, waiting, existing with a persistent tension that kept his bow unfolded and ready, an arrow perched loosely against the string.

It wasn’t planned but well after nightfall Mickey had found himself sitting on the steps outside of December’s house, waiting for her to leave for work. He probably could have knocked, but it was easier to wait her out, sipping at the beer he’d grabbed from his fridge. He’d taken a page out of her book, starting with one beer, but by the time he wound up outside her house, trying to figure out just what the hell she’d been thinking he was working on his third. It was enough to give him a light buzz, but it wasn’t answering his questions. Two hundred and fifty dollars. And while she was willing to shell out that much, she wasn’t willing to bid on him herself. That was one hell of a pity bid if it was.

Micah had struggled with leaving Nic in the morning, but work called and as a result he’d had to leave and head back to the hospital. He was going to get used to Nic being around if he wasn’t careful. Even now he was thinking of how he’d rather not sleep than sleep alone. It was the thought that clouded his mind as he tried to get caught up on the charts from the night before, making it difficult to read. So much that he read one three times before realizing what he was looking at and the name written on the top. Still holding on to it he took a different direction, headed for the morgue.

He knocked, but mostly followed after. “December?” he called, hoping the night coroner was still around. If he’d read her chart right, he wanted to make sure her bite wasn’t infected. Animal bites did that.
