Who: Gin and Lily
Where: The Lake
When: Morning

Lily had spent the morning with Lochlan, feeling lovely and like the world was complete. Shortly after he left, however, her mind began working against her as she began to process their conversation from last night more thoroughly. What if she had read things wrong? What if he was only with her because he couldn't be with the other one? She had convinced herself that wasn't the case last night, but what if it was? What if things changed and he could? Would he leave her? She almost pulled out her phone to call Lochlan because it always seemed to make more sense when he was there with her, but she stopped herself. She needed to work through this without him there and figure things out for herself. That was the only way she was going to have a clear head about this.

She may have been wrong. All the thinking on her own just made her feel worse and all she wanted was to talk to someone about this. She wanted to explain everything to her sister, Miranda, and ask what she thought about the whole thing, but that wasn't possible. Miranda was just as dead as she had been for years now, and Lily felt herself slipping into the depression she fought so hard to keep away from. She spent about an hour rummaging through her room until she found the hidden stash of weed she kept for situations like this. Alcohol was just going to make her emotional, she needed something else. Taking a light jacket with her, she collected everything she needed and left the house. She probably would have just crawled into bed had she not spent all day inside yesterday, but lo and behold, she had.. so to the lake she went, anxious to recall a time before what was shared yesterday. To when she felt just a little more sure that she wasn't going to end up with a broken heart.

Settling in against a tree, she brought the joint she had rolled back at her house to her lips and lit it. She pulled for the smoke through the paper and inhaled deeply, filling her lungs while she gazed out at the quiet, peaceful water surrounded by beautiful, solid trees.

“You were kind of my guardian angel.” )

Who: Sylvia and Open
Where: central park
When: during the storm

It was wet, cold, a little miserable, and wholly unpleasant outside - but Sylvia had to be out in it. The sun wasn't cursing her to remain inside today, so she was out. She had to take her opportunities when they arose, did she not? So, she was at the playground, on the swings, swinging away like it wasn't torrenting rain. It wasn't as if she would get sick.

Time:11:48 pm
Who: Cody and Gin
When: Wee Hours
Where: Gin's House

After spending the rest of his day wandering around feeling all kinds of off, Cody wound up stalking Gin. He'd followed her from a long distance to her place, then sat outside of it for hours. Well past dark, into the wee hours. Eventually, he wandered into the house, imagining she was asleep, and he ghosted into her bedroom. Quietly skirting the bed, he sat down by where she was sleeping, back leaned up against the bed itself, and he listened to her breathe.

Gin had sketched for hours after both Cody and Ember had left. It hadn't occurred to her until it was well after dark that she should go home. She felt such an array of emotions after interacting with both of the dead people that she'd come up with some pretty stark, odd things on her sketchpad. Still, fatigue and the fact she hadn't eaten found her traipsing back to her house. It was stupid to be out past dark with werewolves and whatever else possibly was running around but she was almost a sleepwalker at this point. Lost in thought and on a mission. She fed herself, took a long bath, and got into bed. Only to find sleep a fickle mistress. She tossed, turned, and murmured in her sleep, until something external seemed to settle over her and she fell deeper into sleep. Resting, she smiled in her sleep until her dreams took a strange turn. She woke suddenly but something told her to keep her eyes shut so she did. She waited, trying to sense what was happening around her but sleep swirled with fear and she couldn't get her bearings immediately.

Who: Frankie and Gin
When: Early evening
Where: Encore

Frankie had finished up her duties on the ranch a little later than usual, but with the Boss Man indisposed, so to speak, she hadn’t thought anyone really minded it, since her job hadn’t held anyone up from leaving for the day. She knew of the barn dance going on at… well, the barn. A barn, and Frankie thought about checking it out herself. She was even dressed in conjunction with the theme, with her jeans and red, flannel shirt that clashed horribly with her hair. Of course, Frankie considered it a non-conformist fashion statement. Quirky, if you will.

But instead of heading for the barn after cleaning up, Frankie wandered in the direction of Encore. She hadn’t seen Gin in a day or so, and Frankie thought it was her friendly duty to invite Gin along, if she wanted to go. Getting to Encore took a bit longer than it probably should have, as Frankie was distracted by a couple of shops along the way and found herself browsing a bit before remembering her intended destination.

She opened the door to Encore, stepping inside and immediately scanning the place for her friend. “Gin?”

Subject:The Graceful Ghost Girl and The Bartender Therapist
Time:11:47 pm
Who: Gin and Ember
Where: Gin’s Shop
When: Later mid day

Ember had a steady stream of mixed emotions that coursed through her for the entirety of the morning and right into the afternoon. She had connected with Cody in a way she thought she had lost the moment she died, but what good was that to her if she was going to feel irrevocably attached and guilty for it? Even as a ghost, she couldn't fight that emotional bond that formed after having sex with someone. As much as she would love to be that girl who could sleep with whoever she wanted without giving a second thought to them afterwards, she didn't seem to be blessed with that frame of mind. Or maybe it was because she had only slept with her fiance before Cody. Either way, she was lonely and upset and didn't know what to do other than try to distract herself. She had done a decent enough job of it within the town square, wandering in and out of shops until she found herself staring at a painting of the ghostly, brooding man she was trying not to think about. She brought a hand up to her rest against her forehead, pale fingers hiding beneath the bangs of her short, blonde hair.

Gin's door, open in spite of the weather, had failed to give her the little bell jingle of an announcement that someone was there. That and she was so distracted with her new painting that she herself failed to hear anything. It wasn't until she wandered out into the gallery to check a detail in one of the paintings hung there that she realized there was someone in her shop. "Hi," she called pleasantly, brushing hair from her cheek and wiping a smudge of cody's hair color across it. "Are you looking for something in particular or are you just browsing?" she asked with a smile. She wiped her hands on her smock and took it off, tossing it behind the counter. "Sorry about the lights," she indicated a couple that were burst. She hadn't yet replaced them since Cody had popped them earlier. Then she looked around at the nightmarish landscapes, all different and all featuring Cody in some way or another.

Time:12:59 am
Who: Cody and Gin
Where: encore
When: mid day

Gin was of a mind to sketch and paint and generally explore the nightmares she’d been having. There were canvases back to back and some that hung on the walls of her shop were of hellish, nightmare landscapes. And always, through the midst of the chaos, like a savior or protagonist (antagonist?) of a story, Cody walked in smoke and ash and fire. Immortalized by Gin’s strange need to capture him over and over again since their first interaction. She’d spent a great deal of time thinking over that meeting, wondering if he wasn’t lurking just behind her or around every corner she turned. She was almost exhausted from the constant paranoia but not quite. She was in the throes of creating a grand scene of what looked like it could have been right out of the book of Revelation. Cody included. Dark, visceral, and fairly obviously indicative of an obsessive mindset.

Cody didn't know what else to do with his time, especially after the stupid whirlwind that was his debacle with Ember. So he'd been wandering. Eventually, he came across that redhead's shop, and wandered in through a back wall, and was silently looking around the place.

He blinked as he came face to face...with himself. And as he looked around, he saw him kind of everywhere. Or at least a lot of places. He looked for her, not alerting her to his presence yet, though he knew his presence would unnerve her the closer he got.

Subject:Something Different
Time:10:07 am
Who: Kenzie and Gin
When: Late morning
Where: Eatzy's

It was going to rain soon. Kenzie could tell by the clouds that it wasn't going to be one of those annoyingly sunny days, and that was fine with her. Maybe the weather fit her mood. She was feeling itchy and irritated and it was probably only a matter of time before she finally blew up. Lance wasn't around to calm her down, after all, because he had his own problems, and girls, apparently. Or girl. Who knew. Who cared.

She sat in a booth inside Eatzy's with a glass of water in front of her and Kenzie was staring intently at the menu, brows drawn together in concentration while she tried to decipher the meal descriptions. She recognized some of the words, but the others seemed foreign to her, even if she tried to sound them out in her head, her lips moving silently. It was just another thing to be frustrated about, she supposed. Why couldn't they have pictures? She supposed she could just ask for eggs and meat of some kind, but she wanted something better, and different. Kenzie was getting sick and tired of the same old stuff.

Subject:Making Plans
Time:10:32 pm
Who: Gin and Jyoti
Where: Central Park
When: Late Morning

Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to be in the park, Jyoti was thinking. More accurately, maybe it wasn’t a good idea to be getting high in broad daylight in the park. Accuracy didn’t make her care any more, granted, but at least she could recognize the potential risks in her behavior. Still, Jyoti was pretty confident that this was going to be just fine.

After all, the whole dome seemed weird today; tense over something that hadn’t happened yet, too tense for such gorgeous weather. She hadn’t seen a single cop since leaving her house and workshop, letting a batch of fresh panes cool for the day as she basked in the contrast between the weather and the sheen of sweat on her skin. And if there were no uniforms around? Jyoti was going to keep on doing what she was doing, which right now entailed sitting under a tree in the park, puffing on a glass chilam pipe and blowing expert smoke rings with a self-satisfied smile.

Gin had just spent the evening with her best friend, drinking down a fair bit of wine and listening to some things that she wasn't exactly sure she was ready to accept as being real. True, sure. Lia wouldn't lie to her. And if Lia believed it, Gin knew it couldn't be false. Even if she wasn't yet prepared to assimilate it into her life. Werewolves? Werewolves?? Still, there was the whole Mary Jane aspect she'd been chasing for her own art. Something she was sure erstwhile single-mom Lia wouldn't have approved.

Who: Lia and Gin
When Evening
Where: Lia’s home

Lia had spent the evening with Sophia, playing games in the living room and asking her daughter about school, and her friends. Lia harbored some guilt that she had been so preoccupied lately, and she never wanted Sophia to feel like she was being neglected. It was nice to have some alone time with her daughter again, though Lia held off on talking to the little girl about Riley being her father. She felt like Riley ought to be present for that kind of revelation.

She had invited Gin over earlier for a drink, and she expected her friend at any moment as she got Sophia ready for bed. A part of her wished she were at the ranch, able to wrap herself around Riley for comfort. But maybe they needed the space after the past few days, and especially after their argument earlier in the day. Yes, they had made up, but after spending her afternoon building herself a cage, Lia just needed to be by herself for awhile. Or, at least with a girlfriend. There was no baggage between she and Gin, and Lia needed a few hours of no baggage, for sure.

Time:01:55 am
Who: Gin and Cody
Where: orchard
When: morning

Gin was sitting under a mango tree. Her thoughts were wandering a wide range of ideas but right then, with her pencil raised, eraser on her lower lip, she was stumped. She'd been sort of feeling less than creative lately and the trip to the fruit farm had been meant to stir up something, anything. On the pages before the one sitting blankly on her lap there were prosaic line drawings of birds, a mango that had fallen into a pile of mulch, the trees themselves. There was even a detailed and shaded monarch butterfly that had alighted on her coffee thermos. But nothing was inspiring her.

What she needed was some spark of life. Some pizazz in the middle of all this sameness. Hell, she'd even settle for getting herself into hot water with a black eye at the end of it if it meant she could pull out something new and fresh from her noggin. She leaned back against the trunk of the tree and gazed up into the leaves above her, wondering why the big, vast world that she'd wanted to see had to become so small so quickly. She sighed and stood to leave.

Cody was wandering around, as per usual. Lately he was feeling weird. He couldn't quite put his finger on why, but everything seemed to be bugging him. He felt like he'd been used to things the way they were, and then all of a sudden everything was different...but not really. He was still dead. He looked dead. He scared people, and not always when he wanted to. He was antisocial in the first place, really, but now he actually had options for being social, so it was different. Now it was a choice, not a forced state of being. And he did actually like talking to people sometimes, it was just...made of awkward.

He saw a woman he could only describe as 'bright' sitting alone by herself. Or, she was sitting, and then she was standing up, and he wasn't sure whether he was visible or not. Which was weird, considering. So he sort of stood there, hands shoved into his pockets as he eyed her.

Subject:What Are The Chances
Time:02:35 pm
Who: Gin & Lia
Where: Hospital
When: Morning
Warnings: None

Gin breezed easily through the hospital, smiling sweetly to the nurses and doctors. She wasn't the one sick or wounded so they needn't have such dour expressions on their faces when they looked at her. The ones who smiled back made Gin feel a lot more at ease about why she was here in the first place. When she’d found out that Lia was here, the victim of one of the recent wolf attacks, she’s stopped painting immediately and got her ass to the hospital. She’d grabbed some pretty white gerbera daisies in green tissue paper from a cart on her way through the park and now she was peering in doors to find her friend’s familiar face.

Catching sight of an annoyed nurse exiting a room from which a man called out requesting a sponge bath, she asked the woman where Lia was, got directions, and swept quietly to Lia’s room. She peeked her head in the door before going in, not wanting to wake Lia if she was sleeping or interrupt if her husband was visiting.

Like an epic movie or something )

Time:12:05 am
Who: Gin + Skylar
Where: Anywhere
When: Afternoon
Warnings: None

Gin took another break from painting. The first one had been to see Lia in the hospital. This one was to go looking for inspiration. Barefoot with colors of paint streaking her red hair, she ventured out of her studio and onto the road. Delphi wasn't all that big and she'd walked the circumference before. As well as the bisecting roads and ... well maybe every road. She was always in search of something new to pique her interest, to paint.

She walked for an hour until she had no idea where she was. A feeling she liked because it felt foreign to the confined space of a dome. She pulled out her sketch book and her charcoal and pursed her lips, ready to sketch the first thing she saw that caught her eye.
