I don't know what equipment we have here or who would be better suited to give Malia a basic check up, but if that could happen as soon as possible it would really put me at ease. Hi. I know you don't know me but my name is Isaac Lahey, and this probably doesn't mean much but I just want to apologize earlier for the rocky arrival. I'm sure people have said it before but just know that none of us would ever let anything happen to you. I can't justify what Malia said and honestly I'm not even going to try to because I'm so tired of doing that but I can say that I really do feel awful that you had to deal with that as soon as you got here.

You're new and I'm sure you need a shelter, so if no one has offered I'd like to help you build one for yourself. I'll tell you now, I'm the one having the baby with Malia, so if you're uncomfortable being around me or taking help I completely understand and I can give you some names of people who would be able to help you that you may be more comfortable working with.

And when it comes to the trust thing that we've talked about in the past, I just want you to know that I've always trusted you. So it looks like in addition to a most-appreciated bed, our gods left me some razors this morning.

Since I've never actually used them before, if anyone else has greater need, they're certainly welcome to a few. It's hard to appreciate Sex Island when I keep running into things twelve year olds have figured out

You know, if I wasn't so good at working with what I've got, I might be a bit put out that I haven't been included in the bed-getting yet. Guess the gods don't think I need the beauty sleep anymore.

The razors are appreciated though, I haven't had a mustache since the 70s and in retrospect that was almost more regrettable than the mutton chops. And if anyone who wasn't quite so lucky needs a good shampoo and condition, I think I've got enough to spare for awhile.

Have we figured out how to roast those coffee beans yet? I woke up to find a coffee pot with grinder in my shelter. Obviously, I'm willing to share.

I also got some real work boots, which is nice, because construction in sandals is asking for trouble. And some other protective gear, because obviously the gods agree that I'm too pretty to get hurt.

If you've never seen a modern bed before, you really should come check it out. In fact, you should sleep on it tonight and I'll either take the hammock or go elsewhere.

I've got an idea that I wanted to run by the both of you. Considering the fact that we are the resident physicians on the island I was thinking that it might be a good idea to get records started on all the patients that we'll have. This way we can track the general health of the population, along with pregnancies and what not.

I think, however, we'll need to find someplace secure to keep this information as some people might be sensitive about what others may or may not find out. I'd like to put together a general health history survey for everyone to fill out as a start.

I didn't even bother looking to see if we have paper and folders around for such an endeavor. Regardless, I do think this is something we need to do.

And you know, once they're done, it is possible to build beds. I mean, they won't be as soft as the ones that are arriving...somehow, but they'd be better than sleeping on the ground. We have enough extra lumber, I think.

You know, what we need is a way to get water from the waterfall into camp. You know, plumbing of some sort. There's gotta be someone who has the smarts to do that. I'm not wild about walking into the woods in the middle of the night to take a piss.

A real introduction now. My name is Larissa, and although this isn't exactly what I expected I'm more than happy to be here with all of you. I've accepted that I'm not going to have steady access to coffee here. It took me time. But I've accepted it.

Now I need someone pretty strong who's willing to help me build a shelter? And by help me build I mean, build me a house. I'll sleep with you, but build me a house.

I don't think I can make you lemonade or pay you, but I'm sure there's some sort of deal we an come up with as repayment, hmm?
