Coffee is a girl's best friend

Who: Carly, open to all
Where: The Sugar Shack
When: Wednesday evening

Being part of a now-official group of doctors helping supernatural beings and vicims was damn cool. But it also had it's drawbacks. Like today, when, in an OR locked from the inside, she hit a gusher while showing the others on her team how to do a bypass on a two-hearted, 350 lb Lorvak demon. Ever been covered, neck to feet, in what amounted to enough green slime to make a Nickolodeon vet yammer? Well. As of now, Carly has.

Finally showered (and GOD, the shower she took was like the one Cher took in freakin' Silkwood, lemme tell ya) and changed into jeans and a purple sweatervest over a pink t-shirt, the young doctor walked into her favorite after-work escape, and walked to the counter, grabbing her now-traditional extra-large double mocha latte that they always made as soon as they saw her walk in the door. With a little smile, the dead-tired girl just dropped down into a seat at the first empty table she saw.

It's just a little crush ...

WHO: Lexi OT Ginny
WHEN: Wednesday evening
WHERE: Lexi and Ginny's apartment

Lexi settled on the couch with an acoustic guitar, a bottle of water and a notebook on the coffee table in front of her. She wasn't even going to try messing with lyrics, but she'd had a few decent musical ideas lately and was pushing herself to evolve them into something that might be an actual song. She'd been having a dry spell, lately ... not to mention, she tended to find her train of thought derailed if Stephanie happened to cross her mind.

It wasn't anything serious, but there was definitely an attraction there. Lexi admitted, she wasn't completely innocent. She sometimes let her hand linger too long on Stephanie's shoulder, let her smile convey a little more than simple friendship.

Yeah, just like that ... derailed. What chord had she been about to play? ... dammit.
