Enter Anyanka

Who: Anyanka and Lilah
Where: Wolfram & Hart
When: Wednesday Evening

Normally, when Anyanka was summoned, the first thing she felt was the anger of the scorned woman that she would be performing a wish for. Sometimes it would be so strong that it would call to her, and she would seek out the woman herself.

She had felt no such strong call in Los Angeles. Sure, there were women who needed scores settled. However, none pulled her so much that she knew exactly where to find them. It usually took a very strong one for her to find without being summoned.

Actually, when she appeared in the office in Wolfram & Hart, she felt no call from the particular woman who summoned her at all. "Why have you summoned me here?" she asked.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

It was the first sound Candice Harrington heard when she awoke from her coma. From that weeks-long vacation in her own private hell. Nightmares she couldn't wake from. Visions she couldn't get out of her head, of herself attacking Faith. She'd been trapped in her own regrets, with no way out. When she finally burst from that dream world.... it was in a darkened room, with just that infuriating 'beep.... beep.... beep' ringing in her ears. It took her a few minutes to process what had happened.

The beeping... it was a machine hooked up to an IV, which was in her arm.  She'd been unconcious. Oh God... everything she'd been replaying in her head over and again had actually happened, and this was the consequence.

There was only one thing she could do now... she had to make her amends. If the Council wanted to jail her, hell, to kill her, she'd gladlt let them. But first, she needed to find a way to make amends with the people she'd hurt. She needed to hide.

With a little grunt, she yanked the IVs from her arm, and with ninja-like stealth, she gathered the strength she had, pushed past the soreness and fatigue, and snuck out of her room, down the hall, down the elevator.... and out the doors. Where she was going to go, she had no idea... but she knew she couldn't be here when the Council heard she was awake.
