BtVS: Alternate Lives

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive. I went out of town for the weekend and, with graduation stuff going on last week, I didn't have much time for online things. My work schedule is a little wonky this week, but I will be online tonight, though. Tonight and Thursday night are the best nights for me this week.

Who: Iris and Open
Where: the beach
When: Tuesday, early afternoon

It was nice to come out and relax outside for a little bit. Ever since being brought back to life, Iris had somewhat feared going out again? What if someone attacked her again? What if she was hit by a bus? What if a meteor fell out of the sky and hit her on the head? Those were just a few of the many reasons why she gave as to why she should just stay home. Jeremy finally convinced her to start taking baby steps in getting acquainted with the world. She started off by working a few days a week at a used bookstore. Jeremy knew the owner after him and Catherine killed some demon that wanted to use it, and Iris had experience around books anyway. She did used to work at the UCSD library, after all.

So, after doing that for a little while, she started going to other places. The supermarket here, a coffee shop there, it was getting easier for her. Today she figured she'd hang around the beach. She had packed a picnic lunch, and had brought out some stuff so that she could sun herself and read while relaxing. She had gotten awfully pale while being dead. At least, with going to the beach during the afternoon, she didn't have to worry about vampires.

As she slithered through the crowd at Avarice, making her way to the bar, Chloe barely noticed the throngs of people. She was SO happy for Lucy, as the girl had not only set herself seamlessly into a new school, but secured herself both a prom date AND a boyfriend in just over a week. But... while she was thrilled for her sister, she couldn't help but feel like there was something wrong with her. She was older, just as pretty, and just as nice as her sister... yet nobody had so much as ASKED her to prom. Hell, she hadn't had a date since coming to LA from Sunnydale.

Wearing a sexy black Chanel miniskirt, with matching stockings and heels, and a blood-red silk blouse with black trim, the tall blonde stood by the bar, waiting for the bartender...
