Time to make the wrong things right...

Who: Ami and The Powers That Be
Where: Her room, Wesley's House
When: Saturday afternoon

(Note to all players: After this scene, any characters in-game that knew Gwen Morrison will suddenly regain their memories of her. Any other characters that ceased to be during the timeflip will still be gone, but faint memories of them will now be in the minds of those who knew them.)

Ami had been in mental agony for the past week. Moving in with Wesley, and getting to know Andrew... she'd seen firsthand what the timeflip had done to those she loved. Wesley, without Gwen in his life, was a wreck. Drinking, loafing around, sulking... and Andrew, without Cassie in HIS life, lacked any self-confidence, and was a self-doubting mess. Unfortunately, she knew that the things that had been done during the timeflip could never be undone. The people that had ceased to be couldn't be brought back... because as of now, they literally never existed. Except in faint, barely there memories.

But then it hit her. There was one way she COULD try to help. One person that faded away... but technically still existed. Gwen hadn't ceased to be... during the 'happening', 'The Crisis' as she referred to it, time had been falling apart, and was causing the world to literally unravel. Gwen, knowing what was going on because (ironically) of her love of comic books, had the courage to quickly call out to the Powers That Be, and volunteer to leave the world, to become a Higher Being, to literally spend eternity holding the timestream together. Her only condition was that when it happened... everyone awoke the next morning with no memory of any of it, and no memory of her. She didn't want anyone to hurt over her. Only Ami remembered... because she was so intimitely tied to the timestream herself.

Turning her gaze upward, she spoke softly, her voice cracking a bit.

"Look... whoever is up there... I messed up. I know it. But you can't keep Gwen away from everyone. Too many people here need her. Look at Wesley. He's a WATCHER, and he's falling apart without her. And Andrew. You know what he's capable of in the future... you think he's gonna ever do it if he doesn't have her around to give him the kick in the butt he needs? You know damned well someone else can guard time... you don't NEED her... but WE DO. Please... please give her back to us..."

And as she finished, she fell to her knees, crying, desperate.

That's when she noticed: on her wrist was suddenly the bracelet Gwen had given her for her 14th birthday. It had vanished, along with all other physical traces of Gwen, when the girl vanished. But now it was back. Did that mean that the others would now have memory of her back? Obviously... the PTB had decided not to send her back... but if they at least gave back people's memory of her, maybe that would be enough to help Wes and Andrew. Maybe. She'd have to go see Skylar... if her Gwen memories were back, that meant she would also once more know who Ami was.

With a deep, semi-scared sigh, she stood, grabbed her purse, and walked downstairs, to leave.
