Nica had been swamped with school work and her job at the club. Not tonight, though. Tonight, she had cleared her calendar, set aside her various school projects and asked Chloe over for a special one-on-one dinner.

"Kicking me out?" Vito asked, bemused. "But I pay the bills."

"It's just for the night," Nica had told him. "Take Anna somewhere nice for dinner, have some fun."

Vit and Anna had left, and Nica had made alfredo pasta with chicken and mushrooms, easy on the garlic (because it made kissing less pleasant), poured a couple glasses of white wine and called Chloe.

"You," she had said, "chica, come over! Now! I've got a surprise for you!"

Camille didn't usually work nights at the Shack. She tended to save those for Avarice, but tonight she had been off from there, and one of the girls here had been asked out on a date at the last minute, and Camille didn't mind the extra money. Besides, SHE didn't have any plans. Might as well make some extra money to make sure that she could buy groceries AND put money away for school next year.

The place was actually pretty busy for it being almost nine o'clock in the evening. It was probably about half full, so tips were pretty decent and Camille didn't have to think about the ache in her feet because she had already been here most of the day and now would be here for at least another hour.

When something first flamed outside, Camille actually ignored it. She was distracted while working the cappechino machine. However, when the second and third streaked down, well, THAT caught her attention. Even as the machine bubbled over, her mouth was agape as she watched big fucking balls of flaming rocks start to fall from the sky. Of course, too many people were getting close to the damn windows.

"Get away from the windows before one falls in and hits you!" she shouted, trying to pull one guy away from it.

After the ceremony was over, and they had taken about eight fucking hundred pictures(!), they were finally ready to make their grand entrance into the reception hall. "I better get something to eat," Skylar muttered. She had heard from her mother that the bride rarely got to eat at her own wedding. "This pregnant woman will stomp someone's ass if they drag me away from my plate of food for another picture."

"Shush, baby..." Ben snickered and raised that eyebrow again. "You'll get to eat. Even if we have to have David knock people out to get you to the food." He smirked though... as one of HIS ideas began... it was time to walk in. After Brandie and the groomsmen and bridesmaids walked in.... "#1" by Nelly started to play. Because really... for what a cocky shit Ben was? FITTING. "I think that means us..."

Skylar just rolled her eyes when the song started to play. "Nelly? Really?" she asked. "Alright, let's head out." Hell, she'd gotten a normal song during the wedding. She was happy.

In preparation for the release of their upcoming album, Suicide Messiah had just performed a surprise gig at Avarice. As usual, they sounded great, but somehow? Chloe felt they sounded tighter and more on-the-mark than usual. Maybe it was the combination of excitement about the album and knowing that they needed to leave a bad-ass impression before the small layoff.
Skylar was coming along quickly in her pregnancy, and Chloe knew they had to get as many gigs in as they could before the girl had to take a few months off. Again. Silly baby-havin' chickadee. Anyway, as the rest of the band had gone to relax and get changed, Chloe did her usual post-show ritual: still in her bicycle shorts and sports bra, the leggy blonde hopped offstage and over to the bar, to get a HUGE glass of soda. She consumed caffeine like a madwoman, after all. "Thaaaaaaank you, CJ!" She said with a bubbly smile as the busty bartender handed her a large Coke.

No one ever expected Bennett Neely Bale to ever get married, least of all Bennett herself. She was an ever evolving creature, it seemed, and just full of surprises. While she privately joked with Rachelle that she'd dress like a pimp for their wedding, she recognised that it was an important day and one that only happened once in a lifetime (hopefully!).

So, she wore a dress that made her look like she'd just walked out of a Jane Austen novel, pure and virginal (which was a laugh to anyone who knew her), and had her long blonde hair back in a bun, with a few errant curls framing her beautiful face. The only thing that was very distinctly her was well hidden under her dress, which was a pair of black Doc's, because while this was the most important day in her life? She also wanted to be comfortable, damn it.

She took in a breath as she waited on the pitcher's mound and let it out slowly, feeling for the first time in months – utterly calm.
