Ms Krause, handler Cohen requested that we keep an eye on her team while she was away off base, I understand you left a few documents for her.

Is there anything urgent you need to discuss? I understand you’ve just been moved to Rachel’s team, but if you need anything we can try to accommodate you before Rachel returns.

Wanted to take a moment to explain that my telling you that you will be taking part in training is not in any shape or form based on your appearance. Your file states that along with your physical mutation you also have enhanced senses which if we’re going to pedantic about this classes as a power.

As an Agent of the Regiment you’ve been fortunate that in the past you’ve been left to your own devices however as I’ve explained to you I believe that every Agent regardless of their status (combatant or non combatant) should know how to defend themselves. By being left out of this training you’ve been positively discriminated against for the fact you aren’t able to see in the light. I’m sure you can understand how problematic any sort of discrimination can be? I’ve also referred my approach to the higher ups who have confirmed that at anytime an Agent, including a non combatant, can and will be tapped for a mission.

By not being trained your sight isn’t the thing that will make you a liability, the not knowing how to handle yourself will. I have no intention of sending you out into the field if it can be avoided but regardless you need to know what to do if you’re ever in any sort of danger.

There is no such thing as preferential treatment on my team. I’m not asking you to stop doing what you do and I’ve accommodated your request for a later training slot so that you can continue your work in the kitchen, but I feel from our conversation that you may think my approach is based on your appearance. It isn’t. It’s based on the fact that you like it or not are an Agent just like everybody else on this base. Everybody has to train. Simple fact of the Regiment.

If you’re not happy with my approach then you are more than welcome to request a transfer, but I would warn you that it’s highly unlikely that your next handler won’t expect the same.

I want to work with you not against you but as I said before I’m not here to be your friend. If that means I’m the bad guy then so be it, but at least I know you’re able to defend yourself should the need arise. I would hope that as a grown adult you could see the sense in that and would be open to working with me so we can make sure the training we do is appropriate and relevant to your needs.

If that isn’t the case then we don’t have too many options available to us

-Scott

So this is the Regiment, huh?

I must say. It's a little better than they sold it. I was expecting Fort Knox, cots and prison food.
