Hey so I've been working on gathering some data and I could use a little help from the community at large. I'm trying to get a better idea of the patterns of the doors, if it is totally random, or if there is some larger pattern we can't see because we're all looking at it as individuals rather than as a group.

I can only gain so much information with my own trips through the doors, and I'm working on a sensor to gather some other information for me, but what would really go a long way to helping is if we could keep a list of the kinds of places we're going.

You can tell me here, and then in the future just shoot me a message about where you've gone, maybe how long you were there, anything interesting you noticed - like if you wished to go to an ice cream shop and then opened the door and you were in one - something like that.

Anyway let me know, I've got Dum-E organizing things so you know things are slow going, but we can make this work.

Good, now that that's over with, I've a proposal: a public lab. Strictly chemical-based, and a means to support the agriculture and medical facilities. It will keep me occupied, and it will keep you from having to associate with me. Productive for everyone. That is, assuming there isn't a lab like this already or you enjoy being forced into unpleasant company. I wouldn't recommend the latter. I'm not one for small talk.

If anyone sees an adorable blue tinted yipping fox like thing, with a ruby horn... his name is Carbuncle. He's very friendly, and he's a messenger god from my world. He's supposed to be attached to Noctis, and I'm not sure why he's here with me.

He likes these things called Cheez-Its I found through the doors, and also most snacks and meat.
Very friendly and likes to be pet. But don't be surprised if he just appears out of nowhere next to you. He... does that.

So, apparently, it's Grandpa Stark's birthday this Wednesday. John and Kitty managed to secure some burger supplies (thanks guys), but does anyone else have suggestions? I'm not even sure if this should be a surprise or not considering, but I figured it was better to be safe than sorry.

Okay, don't kill me, but Natasha suggested I ask you about this. I realized I probably fucked up in even introducing the idea of a party for Big Tony, and I know Little Tony wants to do something to celebrate. Normally I'd just eat my own hat for this one, but I don't want to disappoint either and I don't know either of them well enough to not screw it up, I think.

Can either of you help? Maybe take over?

Rachel? Is this you? It's not funny. Yes, it's no post-apocalyptic hellscape but it's not great either. Did Peter put you up to this?

What is happening?

While it's not nearly as pressing a need the list that Tony Stark very capably and thoughtfully outlined for us: there's been some discussion between a few of us about setting up a library.

Barbara and I are in the preliminary stages of planning - there's an empty building near Gwen & Jan's store that I think would work well for it, and it's got a room overhead that I might stake out for myself (unless anybody's called dibs) - but there are a couple things we'd love a little help with to get it off the ground.

1) Any other volunteers who love books, and cataloguing, and organizational systems. We'd love another team member.

2) Any volunteers to scavenge building materials and/or to actually build things, because we're gonna need bookshelves on bookshelves on bookshelves, and hopefully we can fill them. My personal skills with carpentry thus far include "able to tell the difference between a saw and a hammer" and "able to hold a hammer, probably", end of list.

3) Books, books, books. Whatever you're willing to donate that you have on you, or whatever you're willing to bring back on your various travels. If people have requested titles, I think we'd also be happy to be the keeper of those lists and pass on to our scavengers.


I'll defer to Barbara in the comments for anything I haven't listed.

Again, none of this is priority stacked up next to the Tony List! Just things to keep an eye out for, or if you have a little free time and want to come lend a hand. It'll be fun, and it'll hopefully make our corner of the world a little brighter. Thanks for the read.

While we're on the subject of being responsible adults who ought know how to garden (which, sorry, I don't and you don't want me trying), there's some stuff that all of us probably need to be focusing on a bit more.

While I'm trying to work out a way out of here, it's slow going so for now this place is our home. We've got to work a little harder to make this place sustainable, because you never really know what those doors will or won't uncover.

That said, for those of you who go out there scavenging, it'd be really great if you brought back any of the following:

Chickens. Like, live ones, preferably.
Goats? I guess?
Vegetables / seeds for planting
Medical supplies (penicillin, bandaging, disinfectants, etc - talk to one Stephen Strange about the particulars.)
Cleaning supplies
Hygiene supplies
Non-perishable foods, bottled water
Camping gear
Cooking gear.
Bedding

I'm going to make sure that one of the buildings in town can be used as a medical center, and another that's stocked with essentials that everyone can use as is necessary. Any help or further suggestions would be great.

PS: I'm working on digital stuff too. I know it doesn't seem as important to some but let's not live like sad people in the woods. I've got an upgrade ready for these phones, and we'll get a server going. Shared music and videos, anyone?

I'm very overdue for a haircut. Is there anyone in ugh Starklandia who knows what they're doing in that arena? In an ideal world, it'll end up symmetrical and not something I could have done myself by pulling it into a ponytail and hacking that off.
