These Rules are General Guidelines for this Game. If you have any questions or concerns that these do not touch upon, please do not hesitate to ask the mods. We are here to help.

+ Threading
• The writing of threads should be in past tense and the third person.

+ Character limit: 10.

• New players are allowed 2 characters to start, and must pass a month's activity check before they are allowed more.

+ Characters
• Must have been human or humanoid in their canon.

• In order to app a character who is already in game, there must be another canonical version of them in existence (i.e. Steve Rogers in the MCU vs Steve Rogers from Marvel comics). There can be up to three versions of any one character. More exceptions will be made for Peter Parker. Because it's hilarious.

• Most characters are accepted, but OCs are not.

• Characters must have a sizable enough role in their canon to be considered fleshed out -- a name in a book doesn't count.

+ Character Drops
• We understand that sometimes characters don’t work out how you’d like and you might need to drop them. What we don't want to see is a weekly character drop because you've reached the max limit of characters and want someone new. Please be considerate when choosing your characters!

• Please note, if you drop a character, you will be unable to pick up a new one for 2 weeks.

+ Canon puncturing
• This game will not be allowing canon puncturing in any way. We are treating these characters as real people and don't want to blur the lines of reality.

• For example, in the case of Sherlock Holmes, just assume that he is a real person living in London solving murders. Sure, we’ve seen him in television and books. But he wouldn’t be equated with the Sherlock Holmes from the movies/shows/books -- let’s just assume that he actually exists.

• You can make mention of stories and media (eg.: make a joke about Star Trek), but it won’t be in reference to people in game.

+ PBs.
• Every character must have a “played by” actor. Reusing the same PB as someone else is fine. Just keep in mind that two characters with the same PB aren’t twins. Just pretend (we’re all writers here!) that they look similar, not exactly the same

• Icons are for OOC usage and great fun only. They do not exist in game, so until a character actually introduces themselves for the first time, yours shouldn't know who they are. Blank, icon only posts are also not a thing that would work in terms of response.

+ Activity.
• Minimum activity is 3 instances a month per character.
• One of those instances must be a log/thread (preferably finished, but with at least 10 comments total). More is heartily encouraged.

• Network tags must be at least a total of 12 comments (6 from you, 6 from your writing partner)

• If your character was accepted on the 20th of the month or later, only one instance of activity is required.

• Activity is required for every character unless they were accepted into the game on or after the 27th of the month.

• Activity will always be due on the last day of the month! We will post reminders a week before hand.

• We're looking to be an active group and encourage all interactions, both within a character's fandom or outside of it! We want to encourage players to do more than the minimum each month and will take this into consideration when players wish to pick up more characters, even if they're not at their limit.
• Upon acceptance, players have one week to introduce themselves and their characters into the game. Failure to do so will lead to removal based on mods assuming a lack of interest.

+ Tagging & Threads

• Every post must be tagged correctly with all characters involved. This helps to identify who is involved in posts and to track activity. Please use the following form for labeling your log posts.

• Ratings should always identify things that might trigger another player, so they can be avoided if need be.

+ HOW TO USE THE ASYLUMS.
• [info]awsnap_ooc - For all Out of Character posts.

• [info]snapthread - For all threads and storybook-type posts.

• [info]snapnet - For all “Internet” posts -- blogs, private messages and email, Network posts, Texts, and Phone Conversations

+ OBVIOUS STUFF

• ic =/= ooc. Please don't take out any OOC frustrations IC. The mods are here to listen and help if situations arise!

• No godmodding.

• Don’t be rude to one another.

• Het / Slash / Femme friendly

• Deaths need to be approved by the mods

• This is an adult game. Adult things WILL happen. If you can't handle seeing mature and varied relationships that may include sex or violence, this isn't the game for you

• Extreme violence, rape, adult stuff NEEDS to be given a warning.

• This is a game of creativity; we aren't going to censor you. However, we ask that anything that could be a trigger be behind a cut and have proper warnings and ratings.

• If you have a question or concern, please ask!

• PLAY. HAVE FUN. BE NICE.

+ DISCORD CHAT

• We have one! Please ask for a link if you would like to join. It's good for plotting with other players, but is by no means required.

• There are several different channels! GENERAL is for basically anything within reason, including talking about current threads, and other hobbies. PLOTTAGE is for plotting, asking for lines, etc, and MEMES is for pictures, youtube, random link sharing. Try not to do that in the GENERAL channel!

• Being overly rude or starting fights will get you firmly talked at and possibly removed.

Any other questions? Ask us in the Drop Box.
