[Ed's looked into a mirror recently (hello, automail anyone?) and he's not really happy right now. He's sitting rather subdued on his bed, really subdued for Edward Elric. Any who would know him would probably know that something was up.]

I really hate this place. It's not very nice.

[Ed's in one of his...depressed moods. He keeps seeing Al everywhere he goes, and not Al in his suit of armor, but Al in his human form, or at least, how Ed pictures how Al would look if his body were restored.]

[The shelter is clearly equipped for a celebration to mark the changing of wardens. Everything is neat and tidy, with decorations and a generous food spread laid over the tables for the taking. There’s also the usual entertainment in the common areas – TVs, video games, movies. Maybe you can talk someone into an impromptu karaoke party. Why not? Sentience doesn’t mind.

There’s a party to be had, so get down with your bad self.



Need an invite? Aren’t quite sure what’s going on? Well, here’s a friendly neighbourhood Judith to explain it to you. The camera feed pans over a glammed up corner of the shelter’s common area before going back to her face. It’s clear she’s pleased by the set-up.]

I suppose after all the excitement from last night, it’s nice to have some fun and relax. I’m not sure it’s fair to have one party directly following another – but maybe I’ll get to make up for missed opportunities. [She wanted to kick a robot’s face in, okay.]

[ Kohran had been worried about her friends and Subaru was no exception. When her cyborg friend didn't return her calls at the turn of the new day, she decided to go see her at the Shelter. While she was glad to see Acumen deposed of, she won't stop worrying until she can confirm for herself that Subaru's okay.

And so she knocks at the door of Subaru's room -- ] Subaru-han? Are you in there?

[ Another person she had been worried about. She had heard him over Sentience's broadcast and so -- ]

Duo-han. Hey. Are you okay?
 

Good morning, everyone! [This morning, it isn't Acumen's disembodied voice greeting you: it's a video post of a smallish robot, sitting on the grass and playing idly with a cat on its lap. And it sounds -- unusually happy, perhaps.] My name is Sentience, for those of you who do not know me. I am now the warden of this facility.

I would like to extend my thanks to those of you who helped me to correct this situation. I would like to encourage all of you to sleep in today -- you're probably exhausted, and you have more than earned the rest. I have arranged for a party, as I believe I indicated I would; a banquet this evening at the shelter.

Please rest assured that I have every intention of making your lives here as positive an experience as I can. To that end... I will be answering any questions I can that you may have for me, and I will take any requests or suggestions that you may have in altering the way this facility is run, to make it a better place where you could live more happily.

Let's see... There are no completed requests in the queue. Today it will be cool again, and... New inmates will be arriving! So please be aware of that disruption to your daily events.


((OOC: For those of you who participated in the plot, you once again woke up in your own beds this morning, but this time everything was just as normal, except for the fact that as Sentience indicated, you are extremely tired. Characters who did not participate in the plot will have no idea that anything happened, and will have to learn about it the normal way! You may video or voice reply to this post, and you may threadjack anything. Despite the video, Sentience is not anywhere you would be able to find it in the dome.))

[You wake up suddenly, and you're not where you were. But looking around, you find you're in... your own room. Your own bed. It's dark and quiet, late at night, and any friends and roommates you might have are there with you, still sleeping, or just waking up.]

[But something is wrong.]


((OOC: This mingle will function the same as the last mingle. Sentience will make a "prompt" comment for each new development, and then you respond to them and thread amongst each other. In this mingle you start out separated, so you are also welcome to use your communicators to video or voice chat with each other in response to each prompt comment. But you are only capable of speaking to other people who are in this mingle; you cannot hear, speak to, or communicate with anyone who isn't taking part in the event. [Late afternoon in Sector 3, a slightly-built robot, different from the many that wander the facility, has gathered with a few of the inmates in front of the movie theater.]

[They're planning a party, or so they say.]

[...Within an hour they break away and head to an unremarkable, sealed building towards the dome wall of Sector 3. And then Sentience's party disappears inside it and they are not seen or heard from again for the rest of the day.]

[While PM normally doesn't mind the idea of kissing, feelings and problems tend to get in the way of seeing the bots as an amusing and not entirely destructive aspect of prison life.]

[Though she knows it's really no one's fault but her own. PM isn't going to resort to violence against the little robots, or start avoiding others. they did grant her horribly guilty wish, after all. Still, she's going to be careful to make sure they don't enter the post office so that people will not feel the need to avoid it.]

[A young man with golden hair tied back in a ponytail appears on the video screen. He doesn't seem to be aware that anything is happening right away and appears to be mumbling to himself a bit. He then stares directly at the screen when he realizes it's on...after he's mumbled to himself a bit first.]

...DAMN THING. I STILL CAN'T GET THIS THING FIGURED OUT. What the hell is it, anyway? They couldn't have given me something useful, like steak! As long as it's not milk though, I guess it's okay...

...OH. HI. IS THIS THING FINALLY WORKING? HELLO? HELLO? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE FOR KIDNAPPING THE FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST?

[The gym was ready. Duo was ready. He planned on showing the newbies the basics first, then setting up teams, and then it was game time. He had some stuff set up that he'd picked up at the convenience store, too, for afterwards if people wanted to hang out and chat or play another game of one-on-one. He set up the video feed.]

Hey, all! I've got the basketball stuff ready so just start coming down. I figure we'll start the game itself around mid-afternoon, but if anyone wants practice time or quick cram lessons beforehand, feel free to stop by now. [Duo gave a quick wave and popped off.]

[It's early. Probably too early. That doesn't matter though because this is a question of Great Importance and farm boys never sleep anyway. So he clicks on the feed, voice kept on the low side to not wake up his room mate. There's also a cup of tea. Mmn tea.]

[Duo was a little bored. Bouncing one of the basketballs around the gym by himself just wasn't as exciting with some friends. He remembered a few people had been interested in playing. Maybe he should set something up for people to do tomorrow. Though, they had just had the big snowball fight yesterday, so maybe not? He wasn't sure. Idly tossing and spinning the ball around in his hands, he decided to find out if anyone would be interested.]

Hey, all. I know I had put this out there a while back, and well, the winter weather always kinda makes me bored. Anyone wanna play a game of basketball tomorrow? I'll teach ya if you dunno how to play. We'd probably need like five people a team to get like a really good game going, since each team gets that many on the court at a time.

[While some people are able to go enjoy themselves out in the snow, other inmates are still restrained and have to do chores.

It's lunch time in the cafeteria, and Sougo is sitting at one of the tables, eating a banana suggestively. He's bored and he wants to sleep, and he also would love to mess with people, buuuuuut he is trying to get out of his restraint and all.]

I don't know what you all complain about. It's not so bad here.

I think cigarettes and mayonnaise should be banned. They're not good for us, you know.

[ Wandering around the snowy park? There are two things to look out for: (1) don't trip over the bright orange ropes that close off a large open area, (2) take cover and watch for a stray snowball, and (3) ... you know, you might want to join in for this is a Snowball Fight.

Only guidelines: no weapons, no head shots, no stuffing snow down someone's mouth, collar or anywhere else uncomfortable. Play to your heart's content! Spoiler: there's no winner.

Warm drinks and snacks are served in a nearby tent (ah, thank goodness for space heaters!), while towels and blankets are also available. You might want to take advantage of the snow as well -- make snowmen, snow angels, your own sculpture as you wind down~ ]

[Today is quieter around the shelter -- and there's less food. It's getting kind of cramped in here, isn't it? And boring. There are plenty of games and entertainments left over from the party, but everyone is gathered together and... finding things to do.]

Good morning, Marina! [Have a very smiley pink haired girl on your video feed!] For anyone I haven’t met, I’m Lacus Clyne and I’m very glad to meet you.

It seems as though we’re all going to be in the shelter today, so we should make the best of things. I was thinking that we should get together and have a big winter banquet! Anyone who wants to help cook should please feel free to come to the kitchens and assist, and if not you should still come and enjoy the food with us.

Dinner will be served at 5 in the main cafeteria, and after that maybe we could have fun playing games and watching movies together. I hope everyone has a good day, and I hope to see everyone at the feast!

I just learned that today is also Ritsuka’s birthday! To celebrate there will be a cake and some special desserts and decorations. [as many decorations as they can find without access to the store.] Everyone please, stop by to wish him a happy birthday!

[Duo was settling some things for a day into Kohran's shelter room. He hadn't packed a lot, just enough to last 24 hours before heading back to his own place. He didn't want to take up too much room. After all, they were only going to be there for the rest of the day, and then overnight, right?

Of course, he felt a little bad and had packed a little bit in the way of a hangover remedy. He was still feeling a little bit of last night's drinking, but not what Kohran had to be feeling. He was, however, remarkably impressed by her determination for getting back to the shelter and all that without complaining much over headaches and other things of the sort.]

Greetings. [PM's demeanor is definitely more calm and serious than what most may know from her. Unless you are new, in which case, here is your introduction to the white-shelled carapacian mail-delivering queen. Which, by the way, is a non-sequitur that doesn't seem to particularly bother her.] As both an introduction and a reintroduction, I am the Prospitian Monarch--I operate the Marina Asylum Postal Service, along with the help of my dutiful volunteers. We are all very happy to assist you.

Mail will still be delivered today and tomorrow despite the unusual circumstances. I will do my best to find and deliver mail to those of you normally in the shelter! If I have difficulty, I will contact you directly. Please stay warm and safe in the meantime.

[ It was really very generous of Duo to have let her crash over at his place for the day. She had made sure to set her things aside the night before in the Shelter so the bots won't throw things out accidentally, and that it would be more presentable than the last time he had seen her place.

Scarf wound securely around her neck, red coat secure, wool hat on her head and overnight bag slung over a shoulder, she made her way around for a bit of shopping first -- she recalled that Duo was a late riser so she decided to fetch a few things they can eat together. ]
