The Musicale, the Finale - farewell to Italy -

Lucifer was well aware of what was happening, even as he played the requested song by the young Italian with the pasta fetish - how could he not? He was the cause of it all, the reason they were all here, and now the reason that young Italy had departed this particular plane of existence, to resume his life in that other place. So, of course he was not perturbed. Not at all.
The piece that he had played for Italy - Doraemon - was light-hearted and sweet, but even as Italy's vanishing form disapeared from view, he changed his tune to something a bit harder, his fingers flying through Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto - and as he played, his fingertips seeming to flash with fiery abandon - some might even say that sparks flew from his fingertips - both he and the piano began to rise.
It had been pre-arranged, of course. All of it. With the help of his faithful Mazikeen, who had kept herself hidden, following her lord's instructions. As Lucifer rose, the lights of the concert hall began to change color - streaming through the shades of the rainbow, a variegated cacophany of brightness, in the midst of which a disco ball made its appearance, and it gave off every shade in brilliantine stripes that played about the room, illuminating the faces of each concertgoer in turn, diverting their attention from the musician above them.
He rose from the bench, having completed his piece, hovering in mid air as his wings became evident, and for a moment the piano simply hovered before he sent it plummeting back to earth, to land with a crash upon the floor, although unharmed, even as he disappeared in a blaze of glory.....
...... and then there was darkness for all of ten seconds before the room returned to the way it had been, except that Italy was gone, and Lucifer had removed himself from their midst - for now.
