04:35 pm [lipsofpoison] [Link]	Jason in 'Tec Comics I've saved a lot of random bits of Jason adventures in 'Tec Comics over the last couple of years and upon reviewing them, there are some interesting points and foreshadowing, so after #571 was put up, I thought I'd put these up as well. Some of them are on the crisis cusp (just before, just after) so be aware of that. 01:37 am [icon_uk] [Link]	A little more Scarecrow horror for Halloween... From Detective 571, from the marvellously retro run of Mike W Barr and Alan Davis... As with all good stories this has been a BEAR to trim down and keep the best moments. It has everything I look for in a story like this, a great Batman and Robin dynamic (This was one of the last issues to feature Jason Todd 1.0 (or it might be early Jason Todd 2.0 depending on which side of the cusp you look on this as being), nice simple sinister plot from the villain, and the rest you'll see for yourself as this continues... 10:15 pm [kingrockwell] [Link]	Darker Than Black For those Babs fans among us who picked up Batman annual #27 and/or Detective Comics annual #11, we got a pleasant little surprise in this backup story by Amanda McMurray and Kelley Jones. Kelley Jones is a name well-known to Bat-fans. Aside from his run with Doug Moench from '95 to '98 (which has had various revivals these days), I've always known him best for his covers during the Knightfall era. My older brother had a number of the issues, and I'd never read any of the interiors, but the covers alone were enough to impress on me as a kid. Jones' expressionistic and moody style did a lot to shape the way I looked at Gotham for a long time. Amanda McMurray's a relative newcomer to the industry. I can only find a few stories here and there credited to her. Some of you may recall her Huntress story from last year's DCU Holiday Special with Rafael Albuquerque, and she apparently did the Superman/Doctor Light segment in the recent JLA 80-Page Giant (anything good in that bit?). Either way, though I certainly liked the Huntress story on the whole better than this one, there are part of this I like, and for that, I wish McMurray luck on whatever the future may hold. ( ...it never gets old ) this second one is one i only recently discovered. the whole issue is great, but this is Detective comics 439 titled "Night of the Stalker," I saw it in an old cbr post and decided to post this here ( great batman moment imho ) Here's the cbr link http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2009/09/04/a-year-of-cool-comic-book-moments-day-247/ Okay now my question, i am looking for a couple of scans, one is from the first run of of (I think Land's Uncanny run) the page where Pixie comes in and takes down Empath. the other one is a scan from an issue of X-Men i am not sure about the scene is cyclops talking to the students it goes something like this: Cyclops: I don't know whats going to happen, we could die today, or tomorrow, or we could all live forever, like wolverine here. WOlverine: Yay, me. the third scan is one of Pixie and Anole during the hunt for Magick: Anole: My arm itches. (sorry Vertigo fans, not that one) In 1988, Denny O'Neil set off to tell a great martial arts epic, and close the book on the O-Sensei, the old master introduced in Kung-Fu Fighter, responsible for teaching Richard Dragon, Bronze Tiger and Lady Shiva. While I prolly should've held this one off until after I'd posted the arc from Question v1 16-18, where Vic and Ollie first met, well, who's fault was it starting Martial Arts Week now?
