two great moments a couple of requests
i think this has probably been posted here a few times, but honestly...

this second one is one i only recently discovered. the whole issue is great, but this is

Detective comics 439 titled "Night of the Stalker," I saw it in an old cbr post and decided to post this here

Here's the cbr link http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2009/09/04/a-year-of-cool-comic-book-moments-day-247/

Okay now my question, i am looking for a couple of scans, one is from the first run of of (I think Land's Uncanny run) the page where Pixie comes in and takes down Empath.

the other one is a scan from an issue of X-Men i am not sure about the scene is cyclops talking to the students it goes something like this:

Cyclops: I don't know whats going to happen, we could die today, or tomorrow, or we could all live forever, like wolverine here.
WOlverine: Yay, me.

the third scan is one of Pixie and Anole during the hunt for Magick:

Anole: My arm itches.
Pixie: My soul itches.

okay thank you. :)

I think I'm a little enamoured with the art in the second series of scans. Wow. And yes, it is a great Batman moment. :]

That's Sal Amendola on pencils, with Dick Giordano on inks

I love that superman moment, and the JLU episode based on that story was epic

Yes. When I was reading the scan, I could hear the voices from the show... And it was very awesome.

Didn't Alan Moore say it was the only adaptation of his work that he enjoyed/approved of?

I'd read that, too.

Didn't Warren Ellis have a hand in writing that episode, or am I misremembering?

It was Dematteis.

Ellis wrote a different episode, the Dark Heart one.

Ooh! Night of the Hunter! Always good, if rather melodramatic.

I hope someone posts the Darwyn Cooke version, too.

Yeah the Cooke version was good, even though his decision to use some of the characters from Selina's Big Score was a little odd as they seemed to be acting out of character.

Is it just me, or does the Superman panel lose impact out of context?

A few comments...

1. SSSHIZZZZZIIT is an awesome sound effect.

2. The Batman scans make me crack up inadvertently because he shoots the woman because she is in his way and he's trying to escape quickly...but then he stops to explain to the husband WHY he shot and killed her instead of, you know, getting away quickly like HE WAS TRYING TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE.

3. The whole, "Batman is on top of our car!" thing reminds me of those old Eagle Man commercials. Heh.

As for 2. He's just shot and killed someone, that's a shocking thing, and a moment of shock is entirely natural I'd say.

I'd also like to add that I'd get you those scans you wanted, but the scanner at my house doesn't seem to be scanning for some reason. D:

It's your lucky day! I am really bored so I went scavenger hunting around and found this for the Pixie/Empath fight:

and I got this for the Pixie/Anole thing:

My Soul Itches

Do you remember at all what issue or what storyline that thing with Wolverine and Cyclops is from? Cause it sounds reeeeeally familiar, but I can't remember what issue it's from.

For a moment I read that as "Rockslide can do the Limbo Rock" which would be a sight to see.

I cannot for the life of me remember, it was right after "messiah conplex" I think, or right after "quest for magick"

Ah, good moments both. ^^

I like how the adaption of the above Superman story is apparently the only adaption that Alan Moore likes. Presumably because they talked to him about it first.
