04:35 pm [lipsofpoison] [Link]	Jason in 'Tec Comics I've saved a lot of random bits of Jason adventures in 'Tec Comics over the last couple of years and upon reviewing them, there are some interesting points and foreshadowing, so after #571 was put up, I thought I'd put these up as well. Some of them are on the crisis cusp (just before, just after) so be aware of that. 01:37 am [icon_uk] [Link]	A little more Scarecrow horror for Halloween... From Detective 571, from the marvellously retro run of Mike W Barr and Alan Davis... As with all good stories this has been a BEAR to trim down and keep the best moments. It has everything I look for in a story like this, a great Batman and Robin dynamic (This was one of the last issues to feature Jason Todd 1.0 (or it might be early Jason Todd 2.0 depending on which side of the cusp you look on this as being), nice simple sinister plot from the villain, and the rest you'll see for yourself as this continues... 04:00 pm [stolisomancer] [Link]	Alan Davis draws She-Hulk In the recent Savage She-Hulk #2, Marvel thoughtfully included a reprint of an old Claremont/Davis She-Hulk short story. While you can make some arguments about when the top of Claremont's game was - and make no mistake, there was a point in time where, as far as mainstream superhero books go, he was the best - this is top-of-game-adjacent at the very least. He always seemed to have a lot of fun with She-Hulk and her job as a lawyer, and worked her in as a cameo with reasonable frequency. I'm not sure where this originally appeared. I want to say it's from the late eighties, which would make it fairly likely that this is from the short-lived Solo Avengers book. 04:39 pm [proteus_lives] [Link]	Psylocke Vs. Sabertooth. Greetings True Believers! The my recent post and Doug Ramsey/ Betsy Braddock inspired me to post another one of my favorite Betsy moments. The first fight she had with Sabertooth during the Mutant Massacre. It's a great fight and a great storyline. (Further evidence that X-Men achieved perfection in the 80's.) During the massacre Psylocke is new to the x-mansion and is trying to assist with the recovery efforts. She doesn't feel accepted by the X-Men yet and is worrying that she's not helping enough..... In this post, let's visit one of his greatest triumphs. When he met, saved and perhaps won the heart of Betsy Braddock a.k.a Psylocke. Some backstory is required. At one point Betsy assumed the mantle of Captain Britain and was blinded by Slaymaster (One of her brother's old foes) She's blind but uses her telepathy to get around. In prologue (set a year in the past) she's hitting the slopes in Switzerland when she's kidnapped by Mojo and Spiral.....Enjoy! (The art is wonderful.)
