12:25 am [icon_uk] [Link]	As the sun sets on IJ's scans_daily For my last post before the move, I thought I'd post an Amanda Conner commission I found online (and which isn't mine) which encapsulates much of what has made this place so much fun... New Mitch Ballard work of our favourite "boys in blue" (and red) (Now with added caption competition and larger images linked) As if my Robin Model Sheet wasn't enough, I just got e-mailed these commissions I've been looking forward to! Mitch Ballard can take a lot of the credit (or blame! >:-) ) for my collection, since it was through his first commission for me that the possibilities of the genre opened up to me. The result of my request for Dick as Robin as a prisoner of Deathstroke the Terminator has been posted too many times for me to inflict it on you again, but it showed me what a talented artist could do.... 06:47 pm [sun_soraya] [Link]	Gar Logan on Space Trek 2022 We didn't have any New Teen Titans stuff recently, and with the scans of Gar Logan's first appearance a few days ago I thought I could dig out the Gar issue from the Tales of the New Teen Titans mini series (1982). Flashbacks of Gar getting sakutia are repeated every now and then, but the TotNTT mini also has a few nice scenes of Gar's tv show Space Trek 2022 plus the Titans sitting around a camp fire being all cute and kind with each other (which I miss these days). 10:55 pm [icon_uk] [Link]	An SD1.0 repost and a genuine "Grail Piece" acqusition!! :) Chances are that if you owned ANY DC licensed merchandise in the late 70's or early 80's it either featured art by, or based on, work done by Jose-Luis Garcia-Lopez and Dick Giordano, two stalwarts of the organisation, who produced acres of top notch, lovely licensing art. The art would be used from notepads to action figures, from t-shirts to underoos, and so had to be both simple and stylish, easily reproduced and instantly recognisable. They could hardly have asked for better! The attached pics are scanned as best I can, and hopefully might bring a little happiness to your desktop should you wish to tweak them that way. In NEW TITANS #101 (the TEEN had been dropped), Sgt. Steel has contacted Arsenal saying he doesn't want Nightwing in charge of the Titans anymore. Nightwing is still angry over his wedding to Starfire going so wrong and Kori going into a coma. 09:42 pm [seawolf10] [Link]	An old favorite of mine for Halloween Week (1 of 3) The Doom That Came To Gotham. Mike Mignola writes an Elseworlds crossover between Batman... ...and the Cthulhu mythos. ( In fact, the name's a nod to H.P. Lovecraft's short story, 'The Doom That Came To Sarnath.' ) Page count: 16 out of 48. And man, I had to cut a lot of good stuff (snarky commentary, homages, references) to pare it down that far. Since this is out of print and pretty hard to find, is there any chance of being allowed to post more than the usual 1/3 limit?
