Remus and Tonks threw the previously mentioned dinner party tonight! During dinner, the guests were told Remus and Tonks are expecting a second child. Remus let Tonks deliver the news and kept his promise not to light fireworks or anything similarly loud and obnoxious! He did, however, have confetti ready. He promises not much…just a little. He is really happy and determined not to let the fears he had with Teddy haunt him this time around. After dinner, he made sure to try and spend some extra time with his oldest too (if Teddy would have him).

Miles himself drops a large-ish cardboard box with holes in it and a pretty little red bow on Bee and Alicia's doorstep and sneaks off without being noticed. Inside the box they'll find the persistent garden gnome, who is happily singing some children's songs and clutching a note from Miles that says:

There was something to be said about a viking that missed home. Add on top of that the loneliness that he felt upon losing those he cared about in battle, and all of the plans and ideas that were formulating in his head, Vogg needed to keep himself busy. He’d seen little in the way of carpentry orders, and was very aware of the traditions he’d let slide last month, so he wagered he could make up for less time and possibly cheer some others up.

There was one person, however, who he knew would understand better than most. Bee, while she wasn’t from his time, at least knew of his homeland and had an appreciation for the history of their shared land, which made it easier to share traditions with her. Of course, most of the things he shared had been long since retired to the memory of bitter old men from stories long ago, but she always seemed eager to listen and share food with him.

Ostara had passed, but that didn’t stop Vogg from roasting lamb and potatoes and carrots, baking bread and the simple sort of things he’d managed on the ovens (to be honest, Vogg prefered ordering food because the kitchen tools confused him). Piling them in a basket, along with colored eggs and chocolate for his friend, he left the castle down the path to her home, knocking twice before pushing his way into the home knowing she was still tired from her injuries.

“Bee, I have brought a proper Ostara feast.” He called through the house as he entered.

MIKE sends a delivery to Bee's house via one of her bugs early Monday evening (whenever she wasn't working)

It's Friday night — what are you doing? Hopefully in town for a karaoke night at All Night Long! The mic opens up around 8, and drinks and snacks/pub food are served well into the night, although anyone under age 17 will not be served anything alcoholic. The music library had been enchanted to play songs from just about any era within the range of the characters — so basically, if your song exists between the late 1800s to the modern day, any character who knows the song would be able to find a karaoke version, no matter their original time period. (I'm sure music gets around.)

This is an IC/ooc event! If your character comes to the event, post a comment with their name in the subject line, and put in the comment box what they sing, who they're looking to hang hot with, whatever. I figure this can go for a couple days since it was a last-minute idea. Afterwards we could also do a funny pictures thread just for reasons?!

Basically: group activity, have fun, everyone's invited!

Draco still really doesn't understand most muggle things. He has taken a liking to films and some muggle clothing, but that world still mostly remains a mystery to him. This is where Colin comes in. Besides, Draco may fancy Fleur, but Colin is always going to be his plus one too! Seriously, Draco needed Colin's help for this thing. Draco did his best to make this as close to a magic free evening for Greg that he could, but the poor boy doesn't know how to do much sans magic. He doesn't even know if Greg likes bowling, but he couldn't think of a more muggle like activity in the village. He did, however, try to keep it as simple as he could. He catered the food from Mike's Corner and ordered the cake from the bakery. He let Roxy make a sign and just hoped she didn't overdo it (he is not holding his breath, it is why he loves her, ha). His present to Greg included a book on management, a basket of alcohol, and a framed photo of Draco, Vince, and Greg (being the genealogist with access to photographs from varying times really comes in handy sometimes).
