First Planning Department Meeting - Percy, Daphne, Helena, Jasper, Lysander, Mike, Molly, Roxie & Victorie.

Held in one of the offices in the Bank, Percy arrived a half hour beforehand (with his daughter, Molly?) to set up the space with a rectangular table with chairs around. Percy expected Michael to show up at 7:45 with dessert pizzas, which would be provided during the meeting along with a fresh pot of coffee that Percy brewed himself. He came dressed professionally, freshly shaven, looking like he was coming to work at the Ministry of Magic and not some tiny village that had recently been demolished by an earthquake and attacked by monsters.

They talked about STUFF and THINGS and IMPORTANT ISSUES! I'm not entirely sure what the Planning Department is in charge of... I remember seeing on the description list 'Maps' and 'Scribes' mentioned... but I'm sure Percy knows everything that needs to be done, and then some.

The main thing people will get out of the Planning Department Meeting is that Percy is very serious about his role and doing a perfect job. Also, if this hasn't come across on the journals yet, Percy has become an uptight, smug, prick, reminiscent of how he behaved at Hogwarts as Head Boy/Prefect, and during his first year working at the Ministry of Magic. This is the kind of work he's comfortable doing, and now under these strange/stressful circumstances, it's comforting for him to start act this way, again. It's all psychological... trying to hide insecurities with feelings full of self importance, that sort of thing. Yes, he's organized and will get the job done, but he may frustrate the hell out of people. Back in the Real World, Percy had mellowed out after the War and with age, so characters from the next-generation wouldn't even be familiar with this side of Percy. He displayed a little of this behavior when he first came to the village, but when he settled into his job as Lounge Singer, he'd significantly relaxed. Characters should start wishing he was still a Lounge Singer before too long.

Mike told several people that he wanted a "I fought a demon and won" shirt, but that did not mean the hellish events didn't take a toll on him. Like others, he too remembered the Final Battle at Hogwarts. Going through a bloody war again had not been part of Mike's plans. Hell, the village was not in his plans, but no one got through life without a few hiccups. Still, the last week didn't just remind Mike of the war. No, the Wizarding War involved a man who used dark magic for evil. The Village War? What the bloody hell was that? Mike told himself it didn't matter. They defeated the damn thing. It was how he blocked out the memories of Alecto torturing him all those years ago. He boxed it up and pushed it deep down inside him. Of course, blocking dark memories was easier when alcohol was involved.

He spent the majority of the day scouring the town for booze. It was no easy feat considering the damage, but Mike saw the cans and bottles he found as a reward for cleaning up the blasted rubble, glass, dirt, and whatever the fuck else was around. By the end of the afternoon, he had a nice variety of drinks he used magic to duplicate, mix, and replenish. Mike Corner succeeded in NEWT potions for a reason!

He was reluctant to leave his brewing and mixing so when he noticed Merlin was only a few feet away, he seized the opportunity. He didn't know him too well, but Mike thought Merlin seemed like someone who was up for a party. "Hey, Merlin!" He called. Other villagers might have fawned over the medieval crew, but Mike saw them as just people. Some he liked, some he didn't. Who cared if they were from the past? Did everyone like all the future kids just because they were from the bloody future? No, Mike didn't think so. However, he thought Merlin might be up his alley. "I think it is time for a party, what do you say, mate?"

While Albus is not feeling particularly cheerful, he knows he is not the only one hurting. He cannot imagine what it is like to have a birthday during all this chaos. He wants to be considerate of the tragedy, but also mark his uncle's day in some way. He has scrounged up tea, some of Percy's favorite sweets, a single balloon that says happy birthday (he says someone on patrol helped get it from Smuggled), and a handwritten letter/picture. The picture is player's choice, but should mark something important to Percy. He also gets a hug. All Al's art supplies were ruined so it is just a sketch.

The note reads:

Happy birthday, Uncle Percy. I had something better planned, but it will have to wait until the town is not so crazy. I am sorry about everything. I love you.
