Albus had a big day planned for his mother. He wasn't one of those types who thought someone had to wait for a special occasion to show family and friends love, but he did think birthdays offered an excellent excuse. He still thought home-made gifts put most store-bought things to shame, but now that he was working full-time, he liked adding things such as dinner and a film to his presents for people. He didn't think celebrations had to be big and noisy; they just had to come from the heart.

He planned a special flight for just the two of them, a film, and lunch. After the flight, he allowed them just enough time to get appropriately ready for a lunch at Beau Mangerie. He wore long khaki shorts, an olive shirt, and even threw on a tie. He was on his parents' doorstep right on time.
