Remus and Tonks threw the previously mentioned dinner party tonight! During dinner, the guests were told Remus and Tonks are expecting a second child. Remus let Tonks deliver the news and kept his promise not to light fireworks or anything similarly loud and obnoxious! He did, however, have confetti ready. He promises not much…just a little. He is really happy and determined not to let the fears he had with Teddy haunt him this time around. After dinner, he made sure to try and spend some extra time with his oldest too (if Teddy would have him).

Cressida waddled into Ernie's office around mid-morning with scones, tea, and a package that has a badger doll, a motivational poster, and this pen, cuff link, and watch set.

Neville hasn't had a chance to shop, but he sent Ernie a note saying that the two of them should get together soon, and Neville will treat him to lunch.

Edwyn sends Ernie a hand carved box. The lid doesn't have any visible hinges, and when it's closed, it's completely seamless. It only opens when Ernie touches it, and it's charmed to hold more than it's small size makes it seem. The note tucked inside the lid reads, "For your prized possessions."

NOTE: Someone (anyone) is throwing a bonfire, which initially attracts the wolf!Remus. There is a film playing in the community centre. Want your character in the cross fire? Throw him or her here. Just want to react? Go ahead! Ad-lib wolfie, but don't kill him. Details in the OOC plotting post!


Remus couldn't think of a worse time for the magic to go out. Why so near the first full moon of the new year? Never mind the pain he'd go through sans the Wolfsbane, but what about everyone else? They couldn't even seal the shack with any real strength! His mates helped, of course, but he still worried the restraints wouldn't hold without a magical seal.

He didn't want anyone with him during the moon. For one, no one could willingly transform without their magic. For another, even those with newly acquired magic didn't have enough skill built to restrain him without potential harm to themselves.

WHAT — Karaoke!

It's Friday night — what are you doing? Hopefully in town for a karaoke night at All Night Long! The mic opens up around 8, and drinks and snacks/pub food are served well into the night, although anyone under age 17 will not be served anything alcoholic. The music library had been enchanted to play songs from just about any era within the range of the characters — so basically, if your song exists between the late 1800s to the modern day, any character who knows the song would be able to find a karaoke version, no matter their original time period. (I'm sure music gets around.)

This is an IC/ooc event! If your character comes to the event, post a comment with their name in the subject line, and put in the comment box what they sing, who they're looking to hang hot with, whatever. I figure this can go for a couple days since it was a last-minute idea. Afterwards we could also do a funny pictures thread just for reasons?!

Basically: group activity, have fun, everyone's invited!

Edwyn lounged in his chair by the fire, reading King Lear. "This man is too proud," he mused, turning the page. "Nothing good can come from this." He liked this William Shakespeare, a writer from his future, but many of his stories were predictable. The clock above the fire chimed the hour, and he glanced up at his wife where she worked at her desk, grading the most recent batch of assignments from her students. He smiled at the sight of her. "It is now after seven, and they are late," he said, a smile audible in his voice. "I believe that means we get their dessert. Yes?"

He stood and stretched, marking his page with one long finger between the pages, and walked over to Rowena. "How are the students doing, my dear?"

Tonight, at the Cafe & Lounge, Percy will be performing for the first time. There was a poster announcing this in the Cafe, if your character missed Percy's and Astoria's announcements.

The performance has two sets, one at 8:00 pm and a second at 10:00 pm... both lasting approximately an hour each. There is no cover charge. The music Percy performs is a mix of Wizarding and Muggle songs. ( You'll find his playlist under the cut.... )
