Fourteen Shades - AU HP RPG

Welcome to Valentine's Day in the Village! V-DIV? Sure, why not.

This evening much earlier in the day in fact, because your mod had Things come up there is a special event being hosted in the Community Center! Open to everyone ages 17 and up, the Valentine's Day Dance will start at around 8pm, and go on until about midnight. After that, what you do is up to you! Teehee.

The Weasley twins might have enlisted help from people like Astoria Greengrass, Lilu Potter, and other interested citizens* for decorating purposes, but the sight is grand to behold: Pink and red streamers cascade around the four corners of the large entrance hall. Where there are not streamers, balloons of white, pink, and red bob happily about the ceiling. Some are enchanted to glow or glitter, and others occasionally burst with a pleasant pop and spawn new balloons. Some have strings attached and others do not, but the ones that do are often the ones that glow. Various other sorts of decorations are hanging about as well, adding a cheerful -- if a bit sappy, for those who are, shall we say, disinclined to celebrate.

Along the wall which sits opposite to the entrance there is a long table full of all sorts of food. Most are finger-foods, and the desert section has been given reign tonight, as it is the largest and the most varied. Drinks are also available, and there is a distinction between those that are alcoholic and those that are not (but their presence is why the dance is only for over-17s).

Music will be played all evening** and once it hits about 10, the slow dance music will start to come on. Things start to wind down around 11, but continue on until midnight. Anyone who wants to help with clean-up is welcome to do so, but it is likely that that task will just wait until the next day. All of the decorations and balloons will remain in place until at least the weekend.

* Anyone who would have wanted to help with the decorations, just let one of us mods know and we'll add them to the list. Or they'll just be mentioned somewhere. Whichever.

** Sappy songs, fun dance songs, traditional, wonky songs... Either way, there will be music!
