So I'm sorry, I didn't realize this before. However, I figured that it might be difficult for some of you to figure out what to get for the person you're going to be play Santa to. While going out and striking conversation would be a good way to start new interactions. I also realized that some people ... no offense, might not be the best at figuring out information without being obvious. Which is why, I think that maybe once in a while, people can mention an interest: favorite movie, book, food, pasttime, etc. When they post. This will not only help with your Secret Santas but friends, family members, and other loved ones who are stumped on gift ideas.

So. Lemmie start. If people haven't managed to figure it out by now: I'm a big sci-fi freak. If it is sci-fi chances are I probably like it. I've probably seen it. And I probably wouldn't mind owning it. I love shoes and purses. My favorite colors are purple, green, red, and black. I believe leather is sexy as hell. I support Zune not iPod. I love Anime and Manga. I also love large bodies of water. Hell, I love any body of water. When I was younger, I wanted to be Maid Marian I tend to listen to modern hard rock, modern alternative, punk, and pop punk. But I do enjoy certain rap and hip-hop artists, such as Snoop Dogg, Drake, Will I. Am, N.O.R.E.

I think that is enough to start with. It doesn't have to be as obvious or as much information as that. Just a little bit to get people going.

Midnight Madness shoe sale at the mall! Oh joy of joys. There's a pair of black boots with my name on it. I know what I'm doing for an hour before going back to patrols.

I started looking for part-time work the other night. It was really weird inroducing myself as Leigh but it was necessary. I applied at a couple of bookstores and a clothing store since I knew that getting anything in journalism would be impossible. I just hope that I'm able to find something because my coffee habit does not allow for long periods of unemployment.

You know, I thought about if I'd join in on this nonsense or not. One on hand we have the theory that we shouldn't be judged on our powers while still threatening to use them on dissenting voices because of a 'bad temper'. On the other, there is the fact that those without powers can be just as dangerous, My father, or Boba Fett by way of example.

I don't think it comes down to powers. It comes down to who we are. It comes down to what we do. And discussions like that are the measure of us? That's a little sad when you think about it

And incidently if we're complaining about what stories movies tell? Until you have an actual church build up around your uncle and teenagers lusting after your mother held hostage by a Hutt, Or Books that talk about the worst parts of your life, the darkest days you never thought you'd see the end of. Things you'd like to forget there in print for all the world to have an opinion on. But end of the world and woe is you, some movie dares to paint you like the bad guy?

Don't complain. You're not the only one. And if you're going to complain, at least don't threaten people while trying to explain you're a hero. Being hotheaded doesn't mean you're allowed threaten to burn people. Anyone think if I threatened to Force Choke idiots or let loose with the lightning every five seconds I'd still live in the complex?

Everyone knows that I'm new here. And, judging from last night, I'm pretty useless. But I don't want to be that way so if there's anything that I can do that doesn't require fighting let me know. I work hard. I'm a Yale graduate and I ran the Yale Daily News for a year so I can handle both pressure and deligation of workload. I speak and read Latin thanks to my stuffy private school education. I'm a fast learner I just need a direction to go and an idea of what you need me to do. I'm not afraid of danger but I know myself well enough to know that I'm not useful in any kind of physical sense. My world isn't one where magic exists so I'm pretty useless there too

Alright, it's been twenty-four hours-ish since I ended up here.  I'm getting to the point where I just want to know everything I can about where I am.  Once I'm more secure in all of that I'm going to have to start looking for a job. 

Trying not to freak out right now, really I am.  But I could have sworn that I was in Atlanta and now I'm in Kansas.  And it's been more than a year since I've seen Finn so the chances that I got hold of one of his more interesting past times is nil.  Which leaves me with zero reason for being here.  And Mom isn't answering my texts which is weirder still.

I need coffee.
