| Who: december and mannix Where: her office When: just after dark Warnings: not quite nsfw
As soon as the sun sank behind the trees, Mannix was out of the house, heading down to the hospital. He hated waiting so long to check on his brother, but burning up in the sun wouldn’t do either of them any good. When he arrived, Jack was asleep or unconscious, but his heart sounded good and he was breathing solidly. It was enough to calm Mannix’s nerves for the time being, so he scribbled down a note, just in case he woke, and wandered down to the morgue.
“You in?” he called out as he opened the door. It always smelled cleaner than he expected, like disinfectant rather than decay. There was a hint of blood, but nothing like he’d experienced in the rest of the hospital. The bodies that came into the morgue didn’t tend to bleed all over the floor. | Who: Nic and Mickey Where: The Roads When: Late Night
Mickey had the shotgun over one shoulder, keeping vigilant ear out for howls, but there were significantly less noises anywhere tonight. The dome itself seemed quiet, which was probably for the best. There was more than enough weird going on at this point, they didn’t need to add to it. Slipping into the traveling in silence, listening but letting his mind drift to not focus on the macabre, was like slipping into old skin. The only difference was that he was alone. Even now though, alone or not, Mickey was comfortable in it. It was easier than everything else clouded in his head.
He hated that he’d hurt Zania without meaning to. His attempts at friend had just sent him down the wrong path and his attempts at more than a friend were leaving him in the dark. Should have just kept your mouth shut. The voice in the back of his head wasn’t helping matters. It kept reminding him of how much of it was his fault.

| Who: Darcy and Cody Where: central park When: midday
Her cousins were doing better, which meant Darcy had been sent back to school. Which was all well and fine, but it didn’t mean she had to stay there. So she didn’t at lunch when no one was really paying attention she snuck out, heading to the park with her lunch and a slightly busted but mostly still functional umbrella. Things she missed about the real world. She’d had a fun one, with clouds on the inside that looked like a sunny day. It made rainy days better in its own neat little way. And rainboots. She’d had those too. Insisted on them and her parents and willingly bought them considering it kept her from ruining other shoes. It was hard to miss them like she did.
So she wasn’t thinking about it. Thinking about Liam instead, holding her hand and talking about not having kissed anyone. She should have kissed him then, she realized that now, but at the time she’d been a bit out of it. Scared actually but Darcy wasn’t about to admit that to herself. Not a chance. They were fine, she knew they’d be fine. ( is name calling still a thing? ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Avery & Lochlan Where: Hospital When: Evening
Lochlan had finally gotten a second gown to cover his ass and had walked himself down to a waiting room that had been supplied with books and ancient magazines. He sat himself in a chair and began to read Gulliver’s Travels. Not exactly his thing but it was something at least to take his mind off of everything happening and get him the hell away from Patrick. He wasn’t sure how much longer later he heard Avery’s shoes in the hallway. He called out to her so she wouldn’t walk all the way to the room without seeing him first.
Avery had slept a bit restlessly the night before, lingering worries and irritations keeping her mostly awake. She had gone to school for some of the day, spent some time with Finn, then spent an hour or so trying to help out at the pub before she walked to the hospital to see Lochlan. She was about to pass by the waiting room he was lounging in when he called out to her, and lifting a brow curiously, she took a few steps back and peeked in to see her brother sitting inside with a book in his hands. That was kind of... weird.

| Who: Serge Where: his house When: Evening
Very few terms fit Serge quite as neatly as ‘self-contained’ did, both in persona and in his daily life. He was withdrawn and sparse with his words and dealings, yes, but in the physical? In the scope of his possessions? Serge lived a life that was definitely nomadic, nearly monastic even, and there was no room for excess.

| Who: Avery and Finn When: Afternoon Where: Central Park
Finn wanted to the at the hospital, but he wasn’t useful there and he’d promised Avery they could give the picnic a try. Of course the weather wasn’t working in their favor either, but he still hurried to meet her. He found himself mostly hoping she wouldn’t be upset with him for being distracted because he definitely was.
Avery happened to be distracted as well, but she didn't want to put off meeting Finn. Even if it was raining. Again. But this time she was determined not to let it ruin... whatever it was they were doing. A date redo, maybe? She might have dressed up more, but it didn't seem like the right kind of weather to wear a sundress. But she took more care in her hair, and wore a little bit of makeup, careful to not overdo it. She wasn't soaked through the bone this time, so maybe that was a plus.

| Who: Justin and Serge Where: Streets near the highschool When: Late morning Warnings: nonw
No two ways about it, Serge was sore. He’d expected it after the last few nights of chaos and combat, sure, and knew he’d be in rougher shape than he liked as he’d finally laid down to rest, but waking up? It was a fresh hell, one composed of vivid bruising along his ribs and back, firey aches in his shoulders and biceps, healing stiffness in his neck. It was, in fact, a normal feeling after getting knocked over and pinned by four-hundred-plus pounds of feral wolf.

| Who: Mickey and Zania Where: Eatzy’s When: Just after dark
Mickey had been patched up in the rush at the hospital, stitches in his arm and torso to close up the gashes from the wolf, which hurt, but not any worse than he was used to with his knee. He’d been sent home to be out of the way and rest and he’d done that for as long as he could. There was work to do around his house that wouldn’t strain the stitches, but not enough and after a while, cabin fever set in.
With little elsewhere to go he headed for the diner, ordering dinner and mostly just taking up space at the counter while he watched people come in and out. The sheer number of them tapered off as the sky grew dark, but Mickey didn’t worry about that. Not when nothing but an empty house was waiting on him.

| Who: Gin & Lia Where: Hospital When: Morning Warnings: None
Gin breezed easily through the hospital, smiling sweetly to the nurses and doctors. She wasn't the one sick or wounded so they needn't have such dour expressions on their faces when they looked at her. The ones who smiled back made Gin feel a lot more at ease about why she was here in the first place. When she’d found out that Lia was here, the victim of one of the recent wolf attacks, she’s stopped painting immediately and got her ass to the hospital. She’d grabbed some pretty white gerbera daisies in green tissue paper from a cart on her way through the park and now she was peering in doors to find her friend’s familiar face.
Catching sight of an annoyed nurse exiting a room from which a man called out requesting a sponge bath, she asked the woman where Lia was, got directions, and swept quietly to Lia’s room. She peeked her head in the door before going in, not wanting to wake Lia if she was sleeping or interrupt if her husband was visiting.

| Who: Olivia and Micah When: Morning Where: Outside of the hospital
Olivia had been up early, spending an hour or so at the Town Hall before walking over to the hospital to help a few patients who had trouble communicating with the doctors. There had been more carnage. Wolves, this time. Olivia had heard them in the distance, howling, the night before and she hadn't risked stepping outside her house once the sun had set. She hadn't quite been aware of just how bad it had been until wandering through the halls of the hospital, speaking to a few staff members she knew, glancing in on a couple rooms to visit familiar faces.
There were more questions than answers and not everyone who had an unfortunate encounter with a wolf over the past couple of nights had survived. It left her with a heavy feeling in her chest, but Olivia resisted the urge to go home and pour herself a drink. She lit a cigarette outside of the hospital instead, thankful for the brief break in rain. She didn't smoke often. Only when she felt it was the only way to ease some of the anxiety, at least this early in the morning. Olivia was usually the one tsking those who smoked outside of a hospital, but at the moment, she was okay with being a hypocrite. | comments: 14 comments or Leave a comment |
| Who: Chiri and Lochlan Where: the hospital When: midday
Lochlan was grateful he could get out of that damned room. Being cooped up with Pat was the worst idea Eily had ever had. He’d understood the efficiency of it but after the set-to they’d nearly had the evening before because Pat had decided staring at Lochlan was now a thing people did … well Lochlan was not interested in spending any more time with his cousin than he had to.
So as soon as they’d told him he was set to get up and start walking, Lochlan had done whatever he could, as fast as he could, to get out of the room and begin doing so. He was in one of those embarrassing hospital gowns though and he’d asked for a second one to put on backward but they’d told him they were running short after all of the activity lately. So he’d tied his on as best he could, aware of a cool breeze on his ass but not caring more about that than getting out of the room.
He quickly became busy holding a hand rail on the side of the hall, walking slowly but surely away from his room. ( also, nice ass ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Micah and Nic Where: the hospital When: morning
Micah was up at dawn, surprised at how much sleep he’d managed to get. He supposed that was because he was running on fumes before he’d been bit, and then he’d been bit on top of that. Waking had been jarring though. He was relieved that Nic was within reach, but that he could hear far more than usual, echoing in his head and smell the light bit of sweat on Nic’s skin despite the fact that he was farther away than normal.
Sitting up, Micah ran his hand through his hair, realizing belatedly that it was the arm he’d hurt, which was functioning far better than it had the night before. It hurt, like he hadn’t had anything for it, even if he had, but not nearly as much as he’d expected. Micah pulled at the bandage, looking at the damage under it, frowning at what he saw. It was healing. Rapidly. That was just weird. ( Read more... ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Claire and Skylar When: Morning Where: The greenhouse
When Claire woke, she was still at Gabe’s, having been unable to find the desire or courage to return home to sleep. Thankfully Ms. Bloom had been understanding of it, considering the circumstances. Claire was still feeling numb, and grief stricken, but she knew there were things that needed to be done.
So after returning home, and avoiding Ren’s room all together, Claire showered, dressed and grabbed her umbrella to head over to the greenhouse. She was exhausted and knew she wouldn’t be attending school, or even work, that day. There was no way Claire would have been able to concentrate, or even get through the day without crying. No, she wanted to stay home, curled up under a blanket until she could actually feel something again.
Stepping into the greenhouse, Claire lowered her umbrella to search for Skylar. “Hello?” ( Read more... ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Gin + Skylar Where: Anywhere When: Afternoon Warnings: None
Gin took another break from painting. The first one had been to see Lia in the hospital. This one was to go looking for inspiration. Barefoot with colors of paint streaking her red hair, she ventured out of her studio and onto the road. Delphi wasn't all that big and she'd walked the circumference before. As well as the bisecting roads and ... well maybe every road. She was always in search of something new to pique her interest, to paint.
She walked for an hour until she had no idea where she was. A feeling she liked because it felt foreign to the confined space of a dome. She pulled out her sketch book and her charcoal and pursed her lips, ready to sketch the first thing she saw that caught her eye. | comments: 42 comments or Leave a comment |
| Who: Finn and Corey Where: the hospital When: early, early, early
Corey had stayed at the hospital overnight. Her grandfather had needed to get back out there, and part of the deal was she stayed safe. So, she'd been there, and currently was out in the hall, sitting by herself at a corner on a bench, rifle set on the bench next to her. She was more or less staring off into space, thinking. | DATE: Thursday, April 6, 2017
WEATHER: Light showers throughout the day, clearing off as evening sets in. Temperature ranges from 69-56°F.
EVENTS: It seems most people opted to follow the curfew last night, resulting in far fewer casualties throughout the night. Those that didn’t seem to have gone hunting, leaving dead wolves scattered all over town! It’s a quiet day for once with a curfew still in place, just in case the wolves are still lurking about. Most people have taken to carrying a weapon of some sort during the day, just in case.
There are still wolves about at night, though far fewer in number. It seems the hunting parties have been successful in cutting down the numbers.
BODY COUNT: 59, 4 new this game day 2 from heart attacks via ghosts. 7 from the riot at the doors. 11 from bat bites. 3 from spontaneous combustion. 3 from blood loss. 33 from wolf attacks. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Corey and Serge, then Corey and Eli Where: streets When: late evening Warnings: violence
Corey had gotten the text from Finn, and knew she wanted to get to the hospital. But, because she was getting warnings, and she now had her grandfather around to be upset with her over not doing the smart thing, she merely contacted him. It was late, she didn't even know if visiting hours were a thing, or if they were up and running, so she may need him to swing something in order to see Eli.
