Subject:Discussing a Problem
Time:09:11 pm
Who: Devin and Justin
Where: Eatzy's
When: afternoon

Devin was not exactly a ray of sunshine as he worked in the kitchen of the diner. Nothing like finding out that vampires and werewolves were real and that just about everyone he knew was keeping secrets from him. That was how it seemed to him right then, anyway, in his state of pissed-off hurt feelings. He was already planning out in his mind what he was going to say to Charlie when he got home, how he was going to twist the verbal knife, make his uncle sorry for treating him like some dumb kid who wouldn’t be able to understand anything. Yes, that might be a dick move, but Devin didn’t care. He was just that irritated.

He was chopping vegetables for salads, and he’d be lucky if he didn’t chop his own damn fingers off. Muttering under his breath, Devin dumped a cutting board full of diced cucumber into a large plastic tub.

sure you should be handling a knife? )

Time:11:32 am
Who: Kenzie, Ainsley & Anne Marie
When: Night
Where: The forest

For the rest of the day, Kenzie drifted in and out of consciousness. She was tired, but secured in a way that made it difficult to sleep comfortably. She hadn’t eaten or had anything to drink in hours. Not to mention the fact that she had been suffering through nicotine withdrawal, which was hell on a whole other level. Throughout the day, Kenzie had heard footsteps upstairs, sometimes small murmurings of discussion directly above her, though she could never make out what was being said. Bobby didn’t return, and she imagined it was because his mother was home. Occasionally Kenzie would tug at her bindings, trying to get free without successful. She wanted to scream and fling horrible obscenities at her captors, but Kenzie was aware that her mouth could very easily trigger her demise, so instead she bit her tongue until she tasted blood, trying to muffle her shrieks of frustration and anger. Lance was looking for her, though. She knew that much. He had to be.

Finally, after what seemed days, though rationally Kenzie knew it couldn’t have been that long, she slumped back and closed her eyes, trying to breathe through her internal panic. She was too tired to do much else but hope that Lance would somehow track her down before Bobby decided to snap her neck and be done with it.

Subject:Searching
Time:10:23 am
Who: Patrick, Fiona, and Lochlan
When: Early afternoon
Where: The outer ring of town

Lochlan had worked himself out of being stunned at how they’d found the pub and that the girls were all missing and on into being furious by way of determined. It was fueling him as he texted his family and Lily’s brother as requested by Aidan. It was fueling him as they swung by to pick up Patrick at his place on their way toward the edge of town to search the houses on the outermost part of the dome’s center. It kept him quiet and focused and on the edge of raging at anything or anyone that got in his way. He was trying not to think about what could be happening to the girls. They were soft and beautiful and feisty and his. His sister, his cousin, his girlfriend. This felt personal on so many levels but reports were coming from everywhere that others were taken as well during the night. He tried to remain objective but he needed Eily to keep him level-headed and she wasn’t there. So he was relying on Fiona and Patrick, most especially Patrick as his alpha.

“I’m going to kill people by the time this is over. You know that, right?” he said to no one in particular as he looked into the windows of a house that looked empty or abandoned thanks to the dome’s doors shutting and possibly a good hiding spot for kidnappers. Especially if it had a basement. “I’m going to fuck some shit up before then too. How could they do this?”

Subject:What are We Going to Do?
Time:10:19 am
Who: Skylar and Zania
Where: Zania’s House
When: Afternoon

Skylar was a frantic mess. He’d gone to Zania’s house, but she wasn’t there and after looking in the window it didn’t look good. So he’d gone out looking himself. He had no idea what he was going to do if he found someone, or anyone, but he was determined to find Clementine. Exhausted after hours of looking and with nothing to show for it, he headed back to Zania’s house to see if he could find her and get some more help. Or some answers. Or maybe she was just home and it was all bad dream.
I'll get lucky )

Who: Kenzie and Bobby
When: late morning
Where: The basement

When Kenzie woke up, it took her a few seconds to remember where she was, and what had happened. Bobby the vampire, with that crazy fucking whore he called Mother. He had wanted to ‘keep her’, and then his mother had started choking Kenzie and now… looking around, Kenzie figured she was in their basement. Or a basement. And her hands were tight and secure. Despite the soreness of her throat, Kenzie didn’t panic. No. She could get out of this for sure. There was no way she was letting psycho bitch and her bloodsucking twat of a son kill her down here. Kenzie breathed in deeply, craving nicotine. Craving violence. There were so many things she wanted to do to those two that the morbid images in her mind were a comfort to her. Maybe she would get a chance. Maybe Lance was looking for her by now, if he was realizing she hadn’t come home. Although that wasn’t terribly unusual… but still, he knew she would have checked in someway.

Subject:No Unnecessary Risks
Time:01:33 am
Who: Lia and Riley
When: Early afternoon
Where: The ranch

It was a miserable day. Again. The weather was still cold and rainy, and Lia found herself wishing desperately for the sun. Not only to brighten her own mood, but because keeping Sophia inside all day tended to make her daughter restless and bored, and when Sophia got bored, she got ornery. Thankfully Mrs. Haggerty stepped in when Sophia started whining, and took her to the kitchen to help whip up a fresh batch of cookies.

Lia took that opportunity to shower, since Sophia had woken her up early for breakfast and to play cards. She knew Riley was outside, tending to the animals. It hadn't taken long for word to get around the ranch about the fires the night before. And there was speculation that it was arson. That some people in town had gone missing. She had sent texts to Gin and Micah and tried not to be too impatient while waiting for their responses. She had no idea what was going on inside Delphi lately, but Lia did know she had no intention of letting Sophia step outside until things settled.

After she got out of the shower, Lia dried her hair and got dressed. She stood in front of the mirror, brushing the tangles from her blonde hair and trying to work through her own anxiety about what was happening.

He needed to help. )

Subject:Only Babies Cry
Time:01:32 am
Who: Noah and Jason
Where: Jason’s house
When: mid morning

Jason wasn’t sure what to do about the teenager tied up in his house. He’d sent the others away, though Noah hadn’t fared well through the night, more bruises from where he’d come to and someone else had smacked him to knock him out again. Currently he was still tied up then tied to a thick metal hook that had been driven into the floorboards, dirty blanket still half over him to mask his smell. They were alone, and Jason was just out of reach, not that the unconscious guy was that much of a threat.

Currently Jason was trying hard to think his way out of things. He like Sylvia. He didn’t want to like Sylvia, because he didn’t trust himself to like her considering that always went badly for him, but had anyone ever told him that they valued his opinion? Probably not. Maybe a guidance counselor somewhere looking to score points with the fucked up charity case. Or she was just making sure that if he snapped and killed people she wouldn’t be one of them. Either way, it wasn’t enough people even bothered to say it, let alone mean it. But Noah belonged to Sylvia in a sense. Not like with the redhead, whom Jason was realizing now he should have grabbed, but jealousy had had him taking the guy and not the girl, but he was still Sylvia’s. He was important to her. And keeping him captive wasn’t going to help Jason’s chances for staying important to Sylvia himself. It all left him confused and puzzled and unsure of where to go next which was stressing him out and eating away at his composure. He felt backed into a corner, which being a vampire was supposed to solve. That it wasn’t was just pissing him off more.

Subject:Easier Than Expected
Time:01:25 am
Who: Kenzie, Ainsley, and Bobby
Where: From the street to Ainsley and Bobby’s
When: Early, early morning (about 1AM)
Warnings: NSFWish stuff between Bobby and Kenzie

Bobby had spent some time pacing Mockingbird Lane, purposely keeping the brothel in sight. It had been days now since he had first seen the brown haired girl that quickly caught his eye and he had, without much difficulty, managed to follow her home, to work, and just about everywhere in between. Of course, his time watching her was limited to after the sun set, and that was something that was beginning to aggravate him - it was time to solve the problem of not being able to see her when he wanted to once and for all. He moved closer to the brothel, closer than he ever had before, walking on the opposite side of the street as he peered hard in its direction. He shoved his hands into his pockets as he kept moving, crossing the street a yard or so away so that he could loop back again. His timing had turned out to be impeccable, his gaze picking up that the door had opened and closed.. and from what he could tell, that the brunette was on the move not too far ahead.

Unaware of anyone waiting, let alone following her, Kenzie left the brothel, shivering slightly at the chill still in the air. She really needed to get a heavier coat. She'd had one on the outside of the dome, where the elements had never been controlled, but it was still with her uncle, and there was no way to get it now. If she was stuck in this dome shaped Hell, the least they could do was keep it a warm seventy two degrees or something. It didn't help that she was wearing her black skirt and tights. She owned exactly one pair of pants, and her jeans had way too many rips in it to make much of a difference in warmth anyway.

Fucking crazy sick fuck with mommy issues. )

Subject:Why Are You Special?
Time:11:11 pm
Who: Madison and Maggie
Where: Somewhere unknown
When: Before dawn

Madison hadn’t brought her to his house. He’d considered it, but he also knew Anne Marie was looking for her and really, Madison wasn’t sure he wanted to hand over the good yet. So he’d carried the girl towards an abandoned house, near one of the farms, something built for another family to work the land, but the family had never come. It was furnished, which he appreciated. He was still dressed in his coat with his feet on the coffee table, the girl tied up near the hearth, out cold from the bump on her head. She was pretty, but outside of that he couldn’t truly fathom what Anne Marie wanted with them. She said she needed them, this one included, and she wanted to turn off the sun. He wasn’t sure how the two connected and he was trying to puzzle it out. That he couldn’t figure it out, genius that he was, had long moved past irritating and on into annoying.

Subject:Things You Should Know
Time:11:08 pm
Who: Devin and Zania
Where: Zania’s place
When: early afternoon

Devin had had an uneasy feeling ever since he’d awakened at around nine that morning. Some of it was related to how tight-lipped Charlie had been before he’d gone to the police station; the man had looked as if he’d had next to no sleep, and Devin could only assume that it had to do with whatever had gone on the night before. After his uncle had left, Devin had dug out his phone again and re-read the text from Zania. It made even less sense and was more horrifying than he’d realized, given he’d been two thirds asleep when he’d received it. She’d been shot, there was a werewolf, and Zan needed blood. What?

It was like crazy talk, but she’d told him to come by her house, so he figured if he did, he’d find out if she was trying to pull some elaborate joke on him or if she was serious. But… how could she be serious? While it was true that they were living out a post-apocalyptic existence and anything should be easier to believe now, that was a tough one. Werewolves? Did he look insane?

After doing a few chores around the place-- because he tried to reduce the amount of frown lines Charlie wore when he could-- and showering and eating, Devin headed over to Zania’s. He was scheduled for a late afternoon shift today, and since the power was back on that should be a go, but he had time for this. Once he’d arrived, Devin knocked on the door and waited, trying not to fidget.

Subject:Inching Towards Exhaustion
Time:11:05 pm
Who: Aidan, Patrick, and Darcy
Where: Around town
When: Late morning

Aidan was exhausted. He and Darcy had been looking for Eily, Avery, and Noah since one o’clock in the morning, but hadn’t been able to find them or anyone else. Wherever they were being kept, they were quiet and out of sight, and the weather made it virtually impossible to track them via scent. A good part of him wanted to rest for a bit, but knowing that his sister was out there made it impossible to stop. How could he be resting when she was being held captive? It didn’t seem right. He knew Darcy felt the same way, plus she was looking for Noah.

Time:01:04 am
Who: Finn, Liam, Audrey, Eli, and Corey
Where: Their house
When: Morning

Eli woke to the sound of his phone, which was only odd because everyone that usually messaged him was in the house with him. He rubbed his eyes as he picked it up, frowning at the message from Jack. He sent one back, then another, before turning to wake up Corey. “Hey,” he said softly, touching her shoulder. “You awake?” He was still learning the difference between a sleeping heartbeat and a waking one, but if he was awake, then he thought Corey probably was too.

She'd taken a while to get the blood off of her, and to patch up the wounds she'd acquired. Thankfully, Eli had seemed...well. Just fine. It was weird, but a pretty big check in the plus column. She was awake, just sore. “Yeah,” she answered, voice quiet. “How are you feeling?” she asked, shifting to look at him.

Subject:Another to the Party
Time:12:59 pm
Who: Wes, Eily & Anne Marie
When: Evening
Where: Wes's place, then Anne Marie's

After retreating from the basement, Wes took a shower, dressed, and left the house. He ran a few errands, checked in at work. He feigned surprise and expressed sympathy at the news of multiple house fires, and people who had gone missing. Some people seemed genuinely upset. Some simply had that look in their eyes as they speculated and gossiped. That look that clearly said Finally, something exciting in this place!. When Wes returned home, it was getting dark and he knew he would have to take Eily to Anne Marie. Obviously he would need to knock her out, which was something he was actually looking forward to. Wes knew she wouldn’t cooperate otherwise.

Walking upstairs, he listened for the other girls. He thought he heard one of them scream for help, which prompted a small smirk on his lips. It was nice that there was obviously still a spark of hope that they thought they might be rescued. Pushing open the door at the end of the hall, Wes took a step inside, looking over at Eily to see if she was awake or sleeping.

Time:01:49 am
Who: Zania and December
Where: The morgue
When: Around 2:30 AM

It felt like she’d walked a marathon by the time she got to the morgue, but it was only because Zania was shuffling along. Her body ached from head to toe, the lack of blood in her system effecting her more than she was willing to admit. If December hadn’t had blood to offer her, she would’ve taken from her brother, regardless of how awkward it made him feel. Luckily, they didn’t have to go there and Justin had headed home with a promise to clean up her living room. Lance had dropped her off at the hospital before heading over to the brothel, where he would hopefully find Kenzie. This night seemed to be lasting forever and not in a good way.

“Hello?” she called out as she pushed open the door to the morgue. She was expecting it to smell like the frogs she dissected in school, but instead it smelled clean. Like disinfectant. That was generally not a good thing, but far better than the alternative.

Time:04:29 pm
Who: Finn and Liam
Where: Their house
When: early morning

Finn had been avoiding people. It was getting obvious at this point. He’d talked to Eli then gone for a run and found ways to occupy himself until he could sneak something to eat and hide out in his room. As soon as dawn had broke he’d gone out again, running before work, as far as he could go, and then back. By the time he’d wound up in the yard he was exhausted, sure he’d done more than any sane person would do, but it helped. When he ran, it was all he had to focus on. Not the way his heart felt heavy climbing the stairs to their house. Not the way he was upset with himself for being upset, for not seeing what made his friends so happy about their change. Not the way he felt guilty around how Eli felt when it wasn’t even his place or his fault. No, running for hours on end was much easier.

For a long moment he hesitated at the door, hand on the knob, not sure what to do. There had to be somewhere else he could go right? Somewhere that wasn’t here, where his emotions were messy, where his mind felt like it was fracturing into pieces and he wasn’t sure what to do with himself. Or which self was him. Some days it felt like there were multiple versions of himself and right now he was starting realize that maybe he was. And he had no idea which one was the right one. Sighing, he gave up on going inside and sat down on the steps, back to the door, limbs shaking a little with exhaustion. He’d get up when he felt less tired.

Subject:Be Careful
Time:07:40 am
Who: Justin, Zania and Lance
Where: Zania’s
When: Early morning (around 1:45am)

Justin hadn’t been sleeping much when he got Zania’s text message. He’d been roaming the house, calling out for his ghost friend, wanting to finally have a conversation with her to figure out what the hell she wanted with him. But his sister’s message had him shifting priorities fairly quickly, and it didn’t take him long to change into a pair of jeans and a long sleeved thermal shirt. After tugging his shoes on, Justin left the house and immediately started for Zania’s. He moved quickly, but barely broke a sweat before knocking loudly on her door, his hand falling to the door knob. He would let himself in if she didn’t answer in a few seconds, his impatience simmering and his concern overwhelming anything else. “Zania,” he called out.

“Who is it?” Zania called out as she sat in the living room, tying up her boots. The room was a mess with blood on the couch and the floor, plus the dead body of what was a werewolf. It made her glad they didn’t have carpet, otherwise clean up would be even worse, though she hadn’t gotten to that yet. Zania had showered and dressed, all moving slower than she would have liked. Her body was still sore, even if she’d healed.

Time:09:58 pm
Who: Wes, Avery and Lily
When: Afternoon
Where: Wes’s basement

Avery had no idea what time it was when she woke up. All she knew was that she had a raging headache, a sore jaw and her muscles ached something fierce. It took a few seconds after prying her eyes open to realize why. Her arms were above her head, her wrists tied together. She was tied by rope to something… a pipe, maybe. And she was on the floor. Cold, hard cement. Avery groaned and tried to shift to get more comfortable, but the rope above her was too tight for her to do much but move her butt a little.

Opening her eyes a bit more, Avery’s gaze was drawn to the tiny, narrow window, providing the only light available in the dim room. It was definitely a basement. There were some boxes in the corner. A washer and dryer. It smelled musty and she could hear a slow drip somewhere behind her. The events of what happened in the bar came rushing back, and her heart began to beat faster as she turned her head to her right. Lily was there, tied much like Avery with her arms above her head to round pole that ran from the floor to the ceiling above them. Avery didn’t see Eily anywhere. “Lily,” Avery said, though her voice cracked from how dry it was. She licked her lips, praying Lily wasn’t dead. “Lily.”
