WHO: Ginny Potter and Lily Luna Potter
WHAT: Rescuing a damsel in distress
WHERE: Quidditch pitch to start
WHEN: Shortly after This
WHY: Because Ginny is lost and confused. But at least there's a quiddy pitch.
RATING: Lowish (Ginny's mouth has improved with motherhood)
Ginny wasn't entirely sure that all of this was as it seemed. Perhaps it was the journals that was throwing her off. Or maybe it was just that she always had a fear lurking in the back of her mind that things were too good for them after the war. That their lives had been too peaceful and that sooner or later, something bad had to happen because that's how it always had been.
In any case, it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep herself from getting her hopes up that all of this was exactly what they said it was. That Colin and Remus and Tonks were here. And that her kids were here and safe and yes, okay, maybe grown up without her, but compared to her initial fear that something or someone had happened to them, grown up wasn't quite so bad, was it?
She'd know. She was sure. She'd know Lily Luna when she saw her. She might be 14 years older than Ginny knew her and she might be completely different, but it was still her daughter and she'd just...she'd know.
Maneuvering in the dress she was wearing was rather difficult. Lily Luna's party had been a Disney Princess theme and there had been a long discussion about what Ginny was going to wear and after trying to explain to her (very nearly) five year old daughter that Princess Giselle was quite beautiful and she was redheaded just like her and mummy, but that didn't mean that the dress was practical or a good idea for the party, Lily held firm; somehow Ginny ended up in the ridiculous get up that was only slightly more ridiculous than Harry's appointed outfit. Birthdays were special to Ginny though and she knew that Lily Luna would remember it for the rest of her life. And now she got to test that theory, which was not something she'd thought she'd get to do so soon.
