[Uaine's voice is quiet.]

I wish that I could tell you all not to speak, but that would be disobeying our King and that's not wise. He's terrifying.

[the wisp makes a slight 'eep' noise]

It's taken me far too long to admit, or even realize, this. The proverbial cat should've been let out of the bag at my first ball, but I suppose my pride got in the way.

I don't know how to dance.

Could someone teach me? I'm not aiming to learn anything complicated. A tarantella or salsa is quite beyond me. A waltz would be enough. Just teach me to lead and possibly not to step on her toes.

I understand that now is a jovial time filled with dancing, drink, food and ... [she clears her throat.] rutting.

However, I would much appreciate that if when engaging in copulation people would be more aware of their surroundings. If it were up to me, and I am sure others, it would be disallowed in the library, but should you find yourself unwilling to vacate please, please, please don't do it on my notes and journals!

Do you know how hard it is to remove bodily fluids from parchment? Very!

It seems colder. Has anyone noticed that? Perhaps it's just me.

[The writing is angular and strong, clear and precise. As always, there is little second guessing with him.]

There is always a measure of comfort in knowing that nothing really changes at these parties. The same faces, the same personalities, the same games, the same outcomes. Some of the details may change, but the major things never do.

At least there seems to be a new recipe for honeyed dormice in use this year. It's an improvement.

I fear I may be the only one who will miss my old form.

[And with the King's words, his spell ends. In various states of dress and undress, regardless of circumstance, those attending the feast find themselves returned to their previous gender.

When the King speaks again, it's in his low, knife-edged voice.]

I do hope everyone's had adequate time to explore the poetry of their new bodies? I'd be quite happy to aid any 'ladies' who have yet to experience the exquisite beauty of their new forms.

[This is of course written after her tea-time with Halis, because writing it during would be rude. It is written in an elegant, flourished hand, accented by her unmistakably propensity for perfection.]

Stell and I are taking a poll, for educational purposes of course. If any of you would be so kind as to disclose whether or not you like this particular change, along with reasons as to why or why not, along with any striking changes one notices save for the very obvious... we would be much obliged.
