Wha-- [A sigh of confusion, with just a hint of frustration] I don't even... know... Wha-- [Another frustrated growl.] What is this thing? [Someone is very confused about this 'wisp' thing.]

[The voice curling out from the wisp is familiar to those who have been in the realm as long as broken love has existed. It's a sultry tone naturally, without the intent of seduction, there is a touch of monotone boredom to the words as they make their way into open air.]

Well, well, well. Another Midsummer brings yet another ball, persuading me out from the mortal realm. I do hope you have all been enjoying yourselves to the fullest, and I do mean to the fullest.

[Mavis]

Please tell me the batch at this ball is better than the last.

Does the cold make your bones ache? Or just your scars? I can't believe you'd show your face here.

Getting lonely?

[The wisp is instructed only to come to mortals who are alone and out of the prying ears and eyes of the fae, if there even be such a place. It will creep up as quietly as a wisp can and then...

It lets out a terrifyingly blood curdling shriek, followed by a hint of girlish laughter.]

I've just now noticed that, despite the fact that I've been smoking since arriving here, my cigarette case has never once become completely empty. I haven't been the one refilling it.

Somehow this has managed to be quite possibly the most disturbing thing yet about this whole unnerving situation.

[A smoky feminine voice, slightly amused, comes across.]

Oh dear. I seem to be lost in the hedge maze. Could someone come help me find my way out?

[The little, nattering wisp had swarmed around him for a good ten minutes before Jonathan realized the little messages going by. He eventually discovered that talking to it would somehow send it to some other people (though that it is transcribed and written is beyond him). Whatever sort of people they are, which frankly, has not been made clear enough, though has had much to do with change of gender]

Hello? Hello? I'm still ...trying to figure out what exactly is going on here. As well as where I am. And why I have a buzzing little light on its lonesome, instead of the four usually inherent in a bashed in head on a cartoon.

Also, I keep seeing things about bodies and...gender and...I don't know what else. I probably should lie down instead of humoring this thing. Annoying little twerp.
