I wished to join in as well. I have made some delicious tarts from a truly lovely recipe I was given.

[She sighs, then laughs electric and gold.]

Please, please partake.

[The tarts are on display in the shape of summer flowers, centered with sweet, sweet strawberry. Yet these are no ordinary tarts made by her hands. They are imbued with the light that shines in love's eye, and like a jewel those who see them may try to resist, but they will want at least a bite, at least one. They are delicious! These tarts swell the heart and make the devourer wish to share these feelings with those they care for, be it one true love or the many they are attracted to, they will want bring pleasure in the union of love. Aka, they gonna make you hoooorny and more honest with your feelings. The effects last for an hour to a few depending on how long you want your character under. <3 Have fuuun.]

[his voice is low, a twinge of laughter lacing his words.]

Well, now that His Majesty's made his greetings known, I thought I'd extend a welcome of my own. Welcome, welcome all to the Unseelie realm. The feast itself is the safest of areas, unless you find the library - which is welcoming in its own way but a frightful bore. But there's plenty to see here, though you should be wary before venturing to the palace proper.

And of course, if anyone wants a personal tour of the dungeons, I'm your Fae.

[Her voice is merry, the edge of a bite lingering behind the pleasantry.]

Bedding with another is especially wonderful Midwinter, I must say. The Unseelie have such unique tastes.

[There's a kind of shrill snap, followed by a crackle, followed by the sound of an abbreviated shriek of horror. When the woman speaks, there is tightly controlled panic in her voice.]

Has everyone forgotten their manners? Why is that—that young man walking about unclothed? Where are the chaperones? Why is everyone here pressing on me a dubious drink meant to cloud the mind?

What. Is. This.

[Her shivers are audible; her teeth chatter as she manages to get out]

It should never get this cold. If you want to find me, I'll be by the biggest fire in the biggest pile of furs. Things should never, ever get this dreary. No amount of lights are going to help. This is dreary.

[A wisp the color of winter moonlight and just as warm flits around, wending its way around and through the King's guests. It moves lazily, at ease with the surroundings. For those who care to listen, it's message is relayed in a cool tone of voice.]

Such a joyous occasion as Midwinter ought to prove to be one full of enchanting revels. And what, pray tell, do you think our King has in store for us? Surely it will be memorable.

[Her voice rises with each word, growing in anger]

Midsummer is supposed to be about celebration and happiness and this isn't helping. I'm sick of these things happening and everyone falling into fits over themselves and crying. If we're going to have additional entertainment, it should be productive to revelry.

And I'm honestly too frustrated to care that we've got all these unhappy feelings and they're reminding me of all the horrible things to come to worry about angering our King and Queen. Maybe I'll be lucky and they'll smite me so I don't have to go through the seasons' change.

[Her voice is delighted.]

All of this talk of boons and favors is exciting, I am glad to see some so eager. Is midsummer so close to an end?

Ah, a clue, a clue.

I have only given three boons in all my time.

All have to do with true love.

That is all I can say without giving too much away!

[She was unsure who to send it to, in the end, everyone was the safer choice, well if that were safe. Taking a breath, her voice came stronger than it had before, as if she had finally awoken from a long slumber.]

That was [...] invigorating.

[Her voice is thoughtful, which is admittedly something of a rarity for her.]

You know, at our age, it's quite interesting to have a new experience. I don't get them too often. I'm not certain what to make of it.

[The voice is distinctly masculine with an amused lilt to it. For those who know him, there is no mistaking who it is.]

Another ball. Has it really been so long since the last one?

[His voice is deep, rich, and wonderfully, vibrantly alive. It's also a little... off in some not quite defineable way. It has been a while since he has used it and the lack of practice is noticeable.]

I was delayed. A problem arose that required my attention. I trust I did not miss much in my absence.

How much longer must we retain these forms? I have only just come back to mine and already it is so [...] restrictive.

[A voice wisp, quite agitated.]

What sort of licentious place is this? I saw a man and woman...coupling on the grass. Where everyone can see! This place is a brothel!

[her voice is low, cool, and slightly distracted.]

I am not impressed.

I expected the palace to be in ruins by now.

[There is a sound that follows her impatient sigh, a rustle of paper perhaps.]

I understand that now is a jovial time filled with dancing, drink, food and ... [she clears her throat.] rutting.

However, I would much appreciate that if when engaging in copulation people would be more aware of their surroundings. If it were up to me, and I am sure others, it would be disallowed in the library, but should you find yourself unwilling to vacate please, please, please don't do it on my notes and journals!

Do you know how hard it is to remove bodily fluids from parchment? Very!

The dungeons are quite lonely this time of day. A pity given the amount of potential these rooms hold.
