Week Thirteen - Saturday

WHO: Ratchet and Notch
WHAT: He's antagonizing people, she runs into him...literally
WHERE: Mountain Lion Lodge
WHEN: Saturday
RATING: TBD
STATUS: Incomplete and closed to these two

This was ridiculous. Lately Ratchet had been in nothing short of a bad mood. Why? It seemed like every day there were more and more idiots getting in her way and just asking to get clocked in the mouth. No this was a rather usual thing, but in the past few days it had gotten to the point where she'd been carrying one of her heavier wrenches around. Anyone who dared get on her nerves would have to deal with the consequences. Today her usual annoyances (namely her fellow mechanics and electricians who had no clue what they were doing) backed off immediately at the sight of her. Sure, Ratchet was tiny as anything. But with that trademark scowl on her face and that big wrench slung over her shoulder...she was someone you most definitely didn't want to mess with.

"Um...Ratchet? Can I ask you something please?" came the question from behind her.

She stopped and turned around. Despite having to look up at who she was talking to, she looked angry. "What is it?" The slightly younger guy who'd asked the question, one of the electricians who worked closely with her, visibly started to shake a little. "Well...it's j-just that...the others b-b-back working n-need some help with the wiring. T-they asked me to come see you?" Now if there was anything that Ratchet hated more than annoying people, it was annoying people who stuttered in her presence. It only provoked her impatience and less than kind attitude.

"Do I look like I want to be bothered by you right now?" she asked, staring the guy down. He shook his head no. Good answer. "I'm telling you to go back to them and tell them how to fix it. And don't come back and bug me about it. Just deal with it. Got it?" He didn't answer. "I said...got it?" This time her voice was laced even more with that underlying anger. He nodded and hurriedly started off in the opposite direction.

She kept walking, finding that the incompetence of those she worked with was astounding. And now it was just irritating her more. When she got too focused on something that was bothering her, she tended to zone out without thinking. That was already starting to happen. Ratchet didn't really see much of where she was going while she was walking, but eventually she would get knocked out of her little La La Land.

Teeny tiny Ratchet had run right into someone considerably taller and bigger than her. Her first instinct was to scowl as she looked up at the person. But then she recognized who it was. Notch. Hm...well that explained why she'd felt like she'd run into a brick wall. The hood of her dark gray hoodie had fallen back, showing the short cut of her brown hair. She rolled up her sleeves idly, her multitude of scars showing now. "Do you always make a habit of standing there like a big dumb wall?" No 'I'm sorry'. Just snark. That was Ratchet for you.
