Not going to lie, I’m kinda bummed I don’t get to take part in the World Cup. But I’m also glad because I don’t have that extra stress, which is appreciated.

Have no worries that each and every curupira and sasabonsam will be found and returned to their homeland. However, I do hope that law enforcement finds AND charges whomsoever is doing this to the fullest extent of the law. And if there isn't a law, I'm bloody happy to write one.

What would be just excellent would be if Quidditch teams and fans could just stop. Play your game and have done with it.

I still don't know what to do with all the chopsticks people gave me the other day. I mean, I could keep them. I do lose a couple of chopsticks every couple of weeks. Maybe they go to that magical place where socks and bobby pins go to when they disappear.

I know it's almost Valentine's Day and people have probably already purchased gifts, however... I was thinking about how sometimes people stick to the usual flowers-chocolate-jewellery combination for Valentine's Day gifts, and while there's nothing wrong with that if you like those things (I, for one, love receiving flowers!), I'd like to challenge people out there to think outside the box. Does your intended have a favourite author? Buy them a book that they've had their eye on for a while (and write a sweet note inside for them to find!). Cook a meal at home together. Go in on an experience together. If they enjoy flowers, do they have a favourite? A favourite colour? Ultimately, what means most is the thought that went into whatever you're giving.

Okay, I know the World Cup is happening soon and that's all very exciting and dramatic, but WHAT is with the mascots? This is TWICE now something's happened with magical creatures. Today was dangerous, with the sasabonsam, and we're lucky it wasn't worse. I'm not sure what's going on but I didn't like today, as interesting as it was to be able to help.

I can't believe the world cup is less than a month away. It feels a little bit unreal.

Thankfully, got out of practice just in time to catch the festival. I've got to say that whole heroine-on-the-moors-looking-lonely trope has got me shook. I cannot put this book down!

Ever since January 11 I've been hearing a high pitched sound whenever I meet someone from our team. It doesn't happen with anyone else I meet and it seems I am the only one who's able to hear it.

I've been paying attention in the last few days and I could swear somewhere in that sound there's a word.

I thought I would share this information with you since it only happens around you. Be careful, just in case.

TASK FORCE:

So something odd’s been happening in the mirrors - don’t know if anyone else has seen this, but I keep seeing something moving inside. Nothing else seems out of place besides that, just the motion in the mirror. I think it’s only happening after I’ve met with anyone from the task force, but I’m not 100% certain. Caught a glimpse of a logo once but couldn’t make it out. Maybe someone else will have better luck, so keep an eye out, yeah? I’m going to try to keep triggering this phenomenon so I can get more out of it.

So, if going through a door jumps into the future a couple minutes, does that mean if I keep walking through it I can skip to dinner time?

Now that the holidays are over, it's been a whole two weeks since we've had a good party around here. What do you guys say for getting together Friday night? I don't feel like we've really been able to all get together properly, but it's still less pressure than Christmas or New Year's.

I've called in a favour with Pucey and have the top floor of the Gaunlet reserved for any of you who'd like to come. Music, drinks, whatever you want it to be. Just don't break anything or he'll hold it over my head forever.

Enise turns 18 tomorrow, so this calls for a party. We’ll play some games, have a bonfire in the garden, eat some cake, and just celebrate the fact that Enise is here to be with us and that we’ve had this chance to get to know her.

Does anyone's families have specific traditions for New Year's Eve? When we're with our mother's family, our abuela has us help her clean the house, get rid of the old, mop the floors, so on. We'll eat 12 grapes at midnight - for good luck, for 12 wishes.

I've heard some places think the colour underwear you have on at midnight sets the tone for the rest of the year, so I'm trying to decide what colour I'm going to have on. I figure another superstition can't hurt.

I was truly not prepared for how quiet the house would be after they all left.

If you have no plans for tonight, I recommend finding a clear spot and take a look at the night sky! Tonight we'll see a rare sight, Saturn and Jupiter will align and what's extremely special about this is that it's been about is that it's been nearly 400 years since the planets passed this close to each other in the sky, and nearly 800 years since the alignment occurred at night. If you're religious, it's been nicknamed 'The Christmas Star'.

Call it what you'd like, but it's still going to be an amazing sight tonight. It's also pretty cool that it's on the Winter solstice.
