Apokolips Now! Comm

Anyone who is able and willing to patrol, we need all of you out there. These people dressed up as Halloween villains are dangerous. This isn't a Halloween party that just let out, people have been hurt and the police isn't being able to handle the increased volume in calls.

They seem to be concentrating in the metropolitan area, all the way from Campus, to Suicide Slams, to Uptown Metropolis. We need to cover as much ground as possible.

For those of you who can't fight, please stay inside Watchtower or another safe location. Lock doors and windows and keep an eye on the boards for updates. Watchtower security is as high as it can be right now, that means that any non-resident will have to be escorted in all the way to the elevator or they will not be able to make it into the building.

I'd also like to ask all of you who have work or school tomorrow not to go, I will provide a doctor's note if necessary.

ETA: Two things:
1) I have communicators for those of you who want to patrol so we can remain in contact.
2) If anyone sees a very large dog, about 8 to 10 feet tall, he's on our side. Don't attack it, or he might attack back. Let me know if you feel like it's a problem and I'll contact the owner.

ETA 2: If any of you get hurt, we have a doctor in the building that can help. She'll be on the 21st floor.

I only met some of you in passing, but I noticed from the boards you have become friends with Oliver since your arrival and this is why I'm extending this conversation to all of you, but it cannot leave this group, it most certainly cannot reach Oliver's ears. I will be monitoring all of you to make sure it doesn'

As most of you probably know, Oliver hasn't been doing as well as he could be. Some of these details might be too personal and not for me to share, but I have been keeping an eye on him and I have noticed some patterns I'm not comfortable with. He hasn't really been himself lately due to some things that happened in the past year or so, and I believe it's time for something to shake him out of this state he's been in.

I have tried most approaches already, but they haven't worked, so I came up with a plan to help him get back to his full potential. Before I give any of you any details, I need to know if I can count on your collaboration or not and I need to know that I can trust you to keep this between us for his sake.

My favorite thing about this time of the year?

Early Halloween candy sales.

I'm heading out to Smallville this weekend and there's a wholesale club store on the way there if anyone is in need of grocery shopping that's more value for your buck than the local little grocers on the block in the city. Also home to one of the best Farmer's Markets if anyone wants anything organic or really fresh.

I'd say give me orders but I'll mess them up.

My car can fit a few of you though. So first come, first serve. If we really need to I bet we could rent a van or whatever.

So...this just happened...one of my kids is jumping off the furniture with a pillow case hanging out of his pajama top and the other one is losing his shit because his stupid sonic screwdriver toy is back home.

So basically, same shit different day in a new location. This is my life.

Right so I’m told that this is the place to get in touch with people because apparently answering the damn phone is a foreign concept now. I was gone for five weeks and we suddenly forget all phone etiquette rules? Were you all raised in a barn? The answer to that is no. Only one of you was raised in a barn and I know for a fact that his mother and father raised him to answer the damn phone. Try me. I will so call Mrs. K up and complain about this if I don’t hear anything in an hour. I’ll probably call her up anyway considering the whole vanishing act that I did.

But right, new people. Hi, I’m Lois. Lois Lane. Reporter for the Daily Planet--well, former reporter for the Daily Planet but that’s minor technicality right now. Cousin to the girl who decided to make a really awesome fort out of a building in downtown Metropolis and set you all up with this network. If you need anything just ask. I have one of Oliver’s credit cards so I can definitely be of use.

Oh, and Ollie , I used that card for some retail therapy because I needed shoes. And clothes. And makeup. And possibly a new wallet/purse combo.

Who knew that being gone for five weeks and not paying rent in that time would have your landlord kick you out of your place and sell all your stuff? Thank god most of my things were still at the Talon.

Clocks ticking people who owe me a phone call back. Which call Chloe's because I no longer have mine. That five week thing is kind of a bitch.

Um...okay...so, the librarian says to get on here and ask. I don't know why she couldn't just say, but whatever. Could somebody explain to me how exactly we started our walk in London and ended it in front of the Metropolis Public Library. ...also, can someone please explain why any legitimate city names itself after Superman's town or...whatever? I'm really not okay with this right now.
