I'm not really one for that whole doorway situation, usually, but I'm under the impression that there's been something more ideal about it than usual the last few days. It's hard not to be tempted, to see what there is on offer and to see what kind of resources we could get out of it. That's fine. It's always fine, you know? Just please remember to at least use the buddy system before you go getting too excited, okay? Better safe than sorry.

Also, a bit belated, but thanks to everyone who threw a fantastic black tie birthday party last week. I really appreciated it.

Good, now that that's over with, I've a proposal: a public lab. Strictly chemical-based, and a means to support the agriculture and medical facilities. It will keep me occupied, and it will keep you from having to associate with me. Productive for everyone. That is, assuming there isn't a lab like this already or you enjoy being forced into unpleasant company. I wouldn't recommend the latter. I'm not one for small talk.

Excellent. On an unrelated note, I woke up and there's a goat in my apartment.

A goat. Standing at the foot of my bed. It is making noises. It is staring at me. It is maintaining eye contact. It is not blinking. This is not a metaphor for what Barton looks like before he shaves and caffeinates in the morning; I'm saying this is an actual living goat.

I'm not saying that what I'm currently experiencing is panic, but.

Has anyone been able to find any weapons on their excursions? Nothing too big, just something that can help a non-powered person protect themselves against weird looking dragons or other kinda dangers. Preferably something like a firearm, but if you're willing to try and train me in something else, I'd give it a go!

My fellow dimensionally marooned, in the effort of conducting research on the commonalities of our disappearance and eliminating down to the lowest common denominator, would all those willing please disclose the circumstances surrounding the time of your disappearance? What was happening in those moments in your life, perhaps even the world on a macro scale if you are so informed.

Sharing your story can absolutely be private, I understand completely. Please be assured that, as a doctor, I hold confidentiality in the highest regard. The only reason I ask is to examine why we were affected. I believe there may be parallel congruencies that left our realities and us, as individuals, all vulnerable to dimensional bleed at the time in which we were taken.

In the effort of transparency and fairness, I will share my own story. Scientific fascists had just invaded Earth and almost succeeded in wiping out every last trace of magic. My librarian and I defeated them and began to foster the rebirth of magic in reality 616. I decided to take a sabbatical to recover while it regrew when I found myself here.

While it's not nearly as pressing a need the list that Tony Stark very capably and thoughtfully outlined for us: there's been some discussion between a few of us about setting up a library.

Barbara and I are in the preliminary stages of planning - there's an empty building near Gwen & Jan's store that I think would work well for it, and it's got a room overhead that I might stake out for myself (unless anybody's called dibs) - but there are a couple things we'd love a little help with to get it off the ground.

1) Any other volunteers who love books, and cataloguing, and organizational systems. We'd love another team member.

2) Any volunteers to scavenge building materials and/or to actually build things, because we're gonna need bookshelves on bookshelves on bookshelves, and hopefully we can fill them. My personal skills with carpentry thus far include "able to tell the difference between a saw and a hammer" and "able to hold a hammer, probably", end of list.

3) Books, books, books. Whatever you're willing to donate that you have on you, or whatever you're willing to bring back on your various travels. If people have requested titles, I think we'd also be happy to be the keeper of those lists and pass on to our scavengers.


I'll defer to Barbara in the comments for anything I haven't listed.

Again, none of this is priority stacked up next to the Tony List! Just things to keep an eye out for, or if you have a little free time and want to come lend a hand. It'll be fun, and it'll hopefully make our corner of the world a little brighter. Thanks for the read.

Yeah, alright then, I guess I've been quiet enough on here. Can't just sulk around like a child, Right? Yeah. At least that's what I'm being told.

Hello! I'm Rose Tyler. I think I've introduced myself on here before. I can't really remember. But I guess I don't get out to really meet the people on here. And we kinda sorta have our own sorts of communicator so I figured I'd try this out before knocking on random doors to introduce myself.

So. Have we started using this thing as a sort of dating service yet?

While we're on the subject of being responsible adults who ought know how to garden (which, sorry, I don't and you don't want me trying), there's some stuff that all of us probably need to be focusing on a bit more.

While I'm trying to work out a way out of here, it's slow going so for now this place is our home. We've got to work a little harder to make this place sustainable, because you never really know what those doors will or won't uncover.

That said, for those of you who go out there scavenging, it'd be really great if you brought back any of the following:

Chickens. Like, live ones, preferably.
Goats? I guess?
Vegetables / seeds for planting
Medical supplies (penicillin, bandaging, disinfectants, etc - talk to one Stephen Strange about the particulars.)
Cleaning supplies
Hygiene supplies
Non-perishable foods, bottled water
Camping gear
Cooking gear.
Bedding

I'm going to make sure that one of the buildings in town can be used as a medical center, and another that's stocked with essentials that everyone can use as is necessary. Any help or further suggestions would be great.

PS: I'm working on digital stuff too. I know it doesn't seem as important to some but let's not live like sad people in the woods. I've got an upgrade ready for these phones, and we'll get a server going. Shared music and videos, anyone?

So, we've got pizza, beer, and coffee covered. But what about dessert? Don't worry, ya boy ICEMAN bringing snow cones and frozen treats to Starklandia! Ya'll could use a little sweetness to balance this vibe. Also available for refrigeration services, ice boxes (literally, ice box), and maybe some kind of air conditioning. Anyone know if summer's gonna be like New York? I know some of ya'll haven't lived without Central Air since birth and it shows.

So I come out of my not cute little house to take a walk and my drum set was there. Excuse me! How did this happen? Are inanimate objects going to start showing up the way people are nowadays? At first I thought maybe it was a rando gift from Mr. Stark or Alpha Parker but!!!! These are definitely my drums</i> because I carved an angry faced Em Jay on the edge of the snare with my house key and it's still there.

How did this happen? I'm so excited but SHOULD I TOUCH IT? What if it's a trap? I mean, my Spider-senses are not going off so it's probably cool and I want to play them really bad but should I leave them alone, or...? I got my drum sticks a while back and I guess they're fine but this is weird and I want to say awesome but. You know what else would be awesome? If whatever entity is keeping track of things we want, can I just have all the corn dogs next time?

Since I'm not the only person here, anyone care to explain what the hell this place is? Don't bother with the where, that's obviously a dead-end. Let's start with the what and go from there because nothing about this place makes any kind of proper sense.
