Mom would always make blintzes stuffed with ricotta and strawberries. I didn't make it last year. There was the whole thing about moving to California (I know, I know) and then everything that went down at Pride. I was, like, barely on speaking terms with them at the time. And of course I'm only feeling Jewish guilt about it now.

So anyway yay happy Shavuot to my actual always family no matter what Kitty Pryde?? Come over and we'll figure something out. Or I'll come over there because it's probably cleaner. Coming with a request for the library team. We're still under construction - and thank you to everyone who's volunteered their time and talent to help get the building set up, it's incredibly appreciated - but I'd like to start having specific lists we can consult when we're starting scavenging to fill these shelves that are being built.

This is a place to post any specific titles - books, DVDs, music, research materials, what have you - that you've been particularly jonesing for, so we can do our best to keep an eye out. Please feel free to message me privately if there's any requests you're not comfortable letting the general public know you'd like: I will not tell on you if what you want more than anything in the world is the Twilight series, movies about singing chipmunks, or 1970s porn magazines.

I know there are a lot of reference things we need to be on the lookout for, but please don't be shy about requesting anything you'd like for entertainment purposes, either. I'd like to have an individual list for everyone - the whole idea behind the library is to make it a true community space.

I've been workshopping Netflix and chill? jokes for about an hour and I realized it is kind of pointless because A) we don't have Netflix and B) I have the chill part on lock obviouslyyyy

I have a record player with a Fleetwood Mac album, a George Michael album, a Barbra Streisand album, a Whitney Houston album, and apparently the original soundtrack recording of Singin' in the Rain which I never need to listen to again ever. I've been hoping to get my hands on one of the Dazzler albums I remember from when I was a kid, but no luck yet.
