[Anybody who has seen Rapunzel by the lake is surely used to the sight of her surrounded by lizards. What's new today is the clearly handmade chess set she is showing them, sitting cross legged and picking each piece in turn as she paints the final details. The lizards are listening with rapt attention.]

[The bleating of goats call you to the arena once again. The statue of a young boy sits on the throne, his chin resting on his hands. There is a simple, wooden raised platform right below the throne that serves as a stage. Decorating the ground in front of the stage are enough cushions and pillows for everyone to sit on. Circling the stage area are simple panels in team colors. On them are three buttons. The Kid sounds tired... bored...]

[The arena has been dimly lit with torches that leave much of the area dark. Only a patch to the base of the Judge's statue has been lit, and from there eight more paths stretch out to doors that have been lit with colored torches according to each set of partner teams. Game Master's statue is seated on the throne, head turned beneath the hood to watch the incoming blanks.

[The torches can't have been lit for more than an hour at most when someone is finally approaching the Lyvress fortress. He has definitely been in better shape before, and the boy keeps throwing nervous glances behind his shoulder, as if to check if someone is actually there. It might also be pretty obvious that he is avoiding any cave walls like the plague. That the fortress is still around is definitely a good sign though, so he's hurrying to reach it as best as he can. When he does reach the door, it takes a hesitant minute until he dares to reach out his hand and knock on it though.]

[thanks to gallant efforts (and by that I mostly mean Lelouch got the Assistant to do it), Lyvus has been turned into a big square of mattresses piled with all of their pillows and blankets, set up near the fireplace! it is pretty comfy business. there are also sweets thanks to a combined team ingredient effort—some warm sweet fruit-tasting drink and soft cookie approximations]

Everyone's expected to go to sleep when we turn the lights out in an hour or two, but before that, I did promise some stories. Does anyone have anything they want to hear?

[Out and about today, are various SUPERPINKS (now that rations are really starting to look scarce.) Examining the plants, considering the lizards, and making those first hilarious attempts of fishing versus refraction of light. Or in some cases, just out and talking to other teams.

It may not be going WELL but it certainly is an earnest attempt at all of this.]

Before anybody accuses me of anything, I am not stress cooking. This is just breakfast.

[It's a few hours after midnight that the great flurry of ants finishes their work. Walls rebuilt, furniture settled in...

The dorm is a little larger than most, three rooms and a kitchen circles a common area, and a ladder gives access to a second floor with three more rooms and an empty one. On the floor of the common room is a large tile mosiac of two shades of pink, of a soaring bird of paradise, set on a red background.

The inside is new and almost pristine, the kitchen untouched by food or fire, the inscription on the wall fresh. On the common room table sits twelve spare uniforms, six serrated knives, a coil of rope and a wrapped package of rations sits. In the kitchen is a simple set of cookware and a basic first aid kit, all in plain view, waiting for the first who appeared in their rooms to awaken.

It's a few hours until curfew lifts... the door outside is locked.]
