Wearing thin

Characters: Cal and Carmel
Setting: Afternoon, Clinic

Carmel was exhausted, but she knew after building the shade for Ryan and Caroline that she wasn't going to get to sleep any time soon. So she decided to do what Becka recommended after she went to splash her face with water again and put on a little more make-up to hide the tiredness.

She decided to try the infirmary first, thinking the walk would probably do her some good. She stifled a yawn in the elevator and then continued into the infirmary, knocking politely on the door to see if he was there, or if she should have started with his room in the first place.

The doctor is in!

Characters: Cal and OPEN TO ALL!
Setting: Library, 10 AM - 7 PM

Cal had to admit that he was nervous, something much easier to do when he was alone. But it was true, he felt the same acidic stomach flutters that had plagued him in his first days of residency, no matter how prepared he'd been then or was now. Though he definitely was prepared, situated in the library with a cleared table and his hefty box of supplies.

It helped that he was even somewhat mentally scheduled, having reviewed the journals before coming down here, a freshly written list of confirmed visitors waiting next to his kit, and under it? Score sheets, because Cal already knew that today would be invaluable for much, much more than physical assessments.

Communal

Characters: Wu and OPEN TO ALL!
Setting: Cafeteria, 7 PM

With two tables pushed together as an improvised buffet serving, Wu was feeling proud of himself, as usual. He'd brought out steaming bowls of food and laid them near stacks of plates, bowls, and utensils for people to make use of, and from the pot of simple eggdrop soup to the brimming-over bowls of rice, beef stirfry and chicken gung bao, there was more than enough to go around.

Help from Caroline had made it an effortless thing to time all of the dishes out, and Wu had a feeling that if Carmel was half as proficient as she seemed, dessert would be no matter either. Settling at another table, Wu started to reroll his sleeves, eyes trained on the door as he waited and wondered if this was even going to work, or matter. If no one came? Well, he'd have a lot of leftovers to work on.
